  1. We need a Second Life 2, the platform is showing its age. Sansar would have succeeded if it had more sex. People should be required to provide proof of their identity in SL I love Tillia For the price of a movie ticket, I can pay for premium for a month. ummm... sheesh, I'm running out of things.
  2. /me shifts eyes .. Opensim regions are a lot less expensive. /me runs for the hills
  3. WASD vs arrow keys (Team WASD here, you arrow key heathens are almost as bad as the people who put pineapple on pizza... almost)
  4. True, but the ones I listed tend to be the ones which generate a lot of controversy. Security orb discussion on the forums rarely go without much arguing, and people who are not familiar with the forums are likely to get bombarded if they create a topic on it. I kind of feel bad for them, they don't know what they are getting themselves into. Unfortunately, I think it is likely to just push them away from participating on the forums at all, and well I mean it is not the end of the world but we end up with less voices with interesting perspectives and views as a result. Not much we can do about it though, it is just the nature of socializing and the way forums have been forever. Having a literal sticky is laughable though, I was kidding around so I don't think anyone would actually read it. I opted instead to just tell them a few of the touchy subjects, so that they can get a feel for the forum if they decide to stick around and hopefully they will.
  5. Eventually, and hopefully we will have retinal displays which project light directly into our eyes using a low powered laser rather than an actual screen which displays images. I think one of the current setbacks is likely because of positioning of the beam as your eyes move about, it would have to use very sophisticated machinery to keep up, not to mention maintain a constant scan line much like CRTs use. Right now we mostly have to rely on old tech screen near the eye. I mean, there are a few retinal projectors out there, but they are pretty clunky as well and as far as I know, not well received. Neural implants are probably a long ways off, despite all of the hoopla of Neuralink implanting their first electrode array into a brain, we have been doing it for decades now, even having electrodes attached to retinas to partially restore sight I believe was a thing in the earlier 2000s. I remember getting caught up in it, and looking forward to shadowrun cybernetics by the 20s 🤣 As is usual, Elon has taken existing technology and is pretending he invented it all, and this is all new. I don't think the old school screen will be replaced anytime soon, so long as there is not a need or demand for something better, the issues with attaching electrodes to brains to bypass our own vision is going to take a while. The complications are severe, the regulations, the legalities, all things that are going to probably hold it back for decades.
  6. There are a few of them on the forums, Bellisseria themes, avatar gender, avatar height, avatar race, AI images, security orbs, bots, mobile viewers, improvements to the viewer, PBR, and so on. Every forum has them, like in World of Warcraft, bringing up player housing is going to set some people off. 🤣 We should have a sticky at the top of the forum with trigger subjects for residents of the forum to avoid.
  7. With 27,869 regions according to grid survey, and 47,301 residents currently logged in we can expect about on average 1.7 residents per region. What I want to know, is where the 0.3 portion of the second resident went off to?
  8. If you are just looking for populated regions to hang out in, you can use an alternative to doing a basic search, by simply going through Bonnie bots, they provide a detailed list of population by region, as well as the maturity rating. https://www.bonniebots.com/regions It is a little more work, if I were to use this I would probably do a search on the region to get a feel as to what it is used for. Anywho, best of luck.
  9. I found a comfy spot that I can hide in 😝
  10. True Belli story, there used to be a guy that would stand in my yard and stare in my Belli home window while naked, I thought it was hilarious but he never had a member so I wondered what happened to it. He may have left it in his medicine cabinet. I think he was a neighbor, whenever he showed up he would make bird whistling noises for a couple of minutes, typically I was AFK watching TV and I would hear bird calls. As far as I know he never actually came in the house though, he would knock at the door.. 🤣I haven't seen him in a while though.
  11. The noobs keep climbing the trees near my yard, and the police refuse to do anything about it! This is absolutely outrageous! I most certainly did not purchase a premium membership to be gawked at by a bunch of high prim noobs. What is worse, is that there are not even any active volcanoes for me to sacrifice them in. If you are going to have wandering tree climbing noobs LL, then at the very least give us a volcano we can toss them in! ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!!! 11 one one eleven!
  12. Yep, sometimes I will scale the rock side and jump on the roof because there is no flying. Safe away from Anubis, while sitting up here.
  13. I was playing around in Motown, Smashing through some construction barriers, they are no match for my bicycle! Eventually I found myself at a club, no one there so I decided to dance for a bit I also did a bit of DJing, although there was no one there. You wouldn't catch me dead doing this in front of a group of people. I've spent most of my time in SL in the welcome hub today, checking out the exhibits, squatting on an exhibit slab, riding bicycles. I also appreciated a sunset at Helios, it looked gorgeous
  14. From the empty portion, it kind of reminds me of slab city. Perhaps we could get a bunch of RVs, tents, and make a little stage to hold a concert. Out of curiosity, does anyone know when the next installment of exhibits will be released?
  15. We need to take it by force! I have a pirate outfit just for the occasion. We can loot and plunder from the other exhibits.
  16. LoL, I felt us introverts were being left out, someone had to do something. I was thinking of creating an all bot community, but lack the computer resources to create one. I could have had a bunch of us all dolled up as robots, just hanging around in a circle.
  17. I am now part of the exhibit, no portals, no groups, no communities, just squatting 😜 I haven't decided on the name of my group yet though.
  18. It was a nice thread while it lasted, another fatality, among others, may we remember it with honor and dignity.
  19. I really hope they push the gamepad support through faster. We need analog controls desperately in SL, while I do enjoy driving, constantly having to adjust my steering gets old real quick. It is the same way in cyberpunk and GTA, when using the keyboard, always fiddling with my movement keys to get just where I want to be in the road then when I do finally hit that sweet spot, there is a turn and I have to do it all over again 😢With cyberpunk and GTA though, I keep my gamepad off to the side for when I do jump in the car and start driving, I would do the same for SL if analog were actually supported. It make driving so much smoother and fun. A lot of the GTFO locations have a board you can check, to get an idea of how much use those locations get. If you click on them you will see some stats I would like to see how much traffic most roads get, I've seen some road traffic counters on the marketplace but my own property on mainland is settled on a road that does not go very far. I find I generally run across 1 to 2 people driving per hour while I am on the road, it is not very frequent. Boating I usually see a lot more people though. Most of the gas stations, airports, or clearly labeled GTFO locations I just use to rez my vehicle then scoot off so I don't really contribute to those numbers.
  20. Decided to give my tiny car a drive Then I read somewhere about free food, and decided to give that a try Free FoOoOD!! Woot! Now I'm munching on some delicious tarts
  21. Another one playing on my pandora station
  22. I believe it can be if you use things like sploders https://voodoo.community/en/help/general-information/why-am-i-bannned-by-voodoo/
  23. I think it would, I would use one for SL but I worry that it might trigger a voodoo security system based upon recycled IPs used by griefers, and I would find myself banned from a lot of parcels.
  24. After watching a new video regarding a new word being introduced to the web, "Vesperance" I was once again interested in goofing around with AI, and image generation. I had an image created in Microsoft's copilot, which shows a lady at a campfire Using the same picture I had in my previous posts to generate a new face for the pose which is below. Below was the first result, which I liked. I accidently left the template to watercolor though. I only used pose for the controlnet. I removed the watercolor template, used canny and pose for the control net, bumping up the strength of pose to 0.9 and the below was the result. I really like InstantID and look forward to getting my computer so I can run it locally. For those interested in using it, you can play around with it at this site: https://huggingface.co/spaces/InstantX/InstantID It is really easy to play around with, and I would love to see some of the results everyone comes up with. The main drawback of this site is, that you only get a few tries and it may take a while as it is free and other people are using the service. For free image generation online, I just use bing.com, go into chat and prompt what I want drawn, it is also free.
  25. This is what is playing on my computer via pandora at the moment Vroom vroom!
