    Some people are just like that If it is any consolation, this has happened to lots of people, so most visitors will think "Oh, the neighbour is a bit...precious" rather than think badly of your parcels...it's common to see walls on loads of cool parcel boundaries! (we had a neighbour do the same when I lived on a builders' sim, but our place was such a mess with half-finished builds everywhere, you wouldn't have noticed anyway ) I knew somebody else who got round this by creating a tall wall with vines running down it, it looked really good, might be worth a try?

    One thing I'm curious about...has anyone ever been on an alt, and then run into somebody they knew on their main...but that person was acting out of character or showing another side of themselves? 😲

    No way! Children should run around restaurants at 15mph with curry sauce all over their faces, yelling and creating a breeze that lifts up the table cloths, until they trip over and wind themselves and start crying and screaming their heads off. It's just a bit of fun Fair enough if you are taking them to a funeral, though, IMO.

    This thread reminded me of this joke... A reporter is covering a veterans' event and sees a bald, wizened, frail man. She goes up to him and asks "And what is your secret for a long life?"     My uncle taught me a good trick, say to them "Oh, that's very interesting, I'm just going to get a pen, one second" and then just go off and do something else for 15 minutes. If they're still on the line when you come back, say "Oh no, it's just run out...hang on, I'll get another pen" and go away again

    I agree with this too...it is strange to think you've turned an important cause into 'one night on SL' and then everyone TPs out afterwards and forgets about it, or just remembers the fun they had...

    I think this is very true - and I probably do it too. I will be honest...if two charity nights are going on, and one will be playing punk or post-punk, or music that I'm into, and I think I will see people I sort of know and have fun with...but the other is playing folk or jazz, or having speeches and we all sit around in silence... I would honestly rather go to the first, and maybe tip the other remotely... I went to some Occupy SL events, and remember people saying "I read some poems and the whole sim cleared" because the rest of the event was DJs or musicians...but also, if Live Aid had been just speeches and presentations, maybe it would have never been broadcast around the world? Β―\_(ツ)_/Β― It's hard to predict how people will respond! I think these things do need to be entertaining.

    To be fair, RFL always clashes with other events though...for a lot of musicians booked to play a RFL benefit, it's just another slot in a weekend of performances. Though I did have to tell one off a bit when I was hosting him and he rezzed his personal tip jar during his set I had two major disasters hosting RFL events...but might be a bit off-topic It's cool if LL are getting directly involved, I think Torley did a tour of RFL camps at one time but as usual I was AFK or missed him

    If true...that is an INSANE amount... This seems to be the problem with a lot of the big charities though...

    Peeve...I can't eat peanut butter anymore I was once in a shared house and mice used to get into the back kitchen in winter, so the landlord put out traps using peanut butter as bait...I can't look at peanut butter now without thinking of going into the kitchen in the morning and seeing dead mice with their legs sticking up in the air...
