    reading the entirety of this thread on here just gave me a migraine. all i am going to say is that SL can be hard to get into, it was for myself. but, like any game, virtual world, etc.--you need to figure out the inner-workings/features and the community before going and judging. for myself, i have been on SL a total of three years, it's not all bad, you just gotta find the people you connect with like IRL. boom. period. done.

    i totally understand! i will counter act what you are saying though: freya has died out since kupra has come out on the virtual world of SL. the popularity of the body has become very marketable and crazy overwhelming. if a content creator sees a profit and access to the dev. kit--they most likely will go after it by simply adding onto the list of bodies they create content for, but not simply replace. i hope this makes sense.

    one of my biggest pet peeves of lately: people who constantly try to get something out of you, people who try to create issues and spread drama over NOTHING just simply because they don't like you, and people who try to be the "bigger person" but end up gossiping like i said in the other reasoning (because they simply don't like you.) i have dealt with plenty of people on SL who are great, inbetween, and terrible. -- most of the people end up being great, it's just that 1%-5% of people who i meet that end up not being the best and doing any of the reasons i mentioned above. i am just tired of the high school-like drama; if people could come up to me and just explain something on why they have an issue with me, that'd be fantastic (only in a perfect world though.)

    when i did have premium, i had some reasons on why i liked it: 1) weekly pay of 300L 2) linden home or purchasing home on mainland access. 3) contacting support, getting immediate access to help! 4) name changes i don't have five reasons but those were my top four. i know some people repeated the same reasons, but hey that's ok. if you are up to getting premium and use SL daily or often, it's not a bad price for a little extra on a platform you enjoy!

    i will say as someone who has played music and had fun DJing on SL: there are so many youtube to mp3 converters out there that are first to come up on searches even in google. so, i don't really think they would care since pretty much everyone probably has downloaded a song or two without paying. that's just my take away on it since pretty much everyone does it.
