Although my efforts to lift Eva into Smart Casual had limited success, Eva's efforts to turn my head away from Genus have been rather more successful, and I've been under pressure to go with BoM. So Ellie was selected a my tester, and I now understand the momentum which BoM has established. This is Ellie's new look, Lelutka Fleur. The smile lines and freckles, and face shape make her look so much older, but I love this look and the invisible neck seam. I kept her original MINA skin, just with a redelivery to get the BoM textures.

So yesterday I started out using Ellie as my test bed. I have the Genus BoM Relay, and I redelivered Lara v5.2. I also redelivered her MILA skin which now has BoM included. I followed the simple steps above, and it was very easy to do. The skin, lashes, shadow, lipstick and eyes all went on fine and I'm thinking....."this is a piece of cake". But then, I tried one hair and it didn't fit right. It was conflicting with something across her forehead. I tried all her hairs, and only the old simple textures worked. One of the old Truth hairs has a hair alpha. I added that out of curiosity and it fixed the forehead. But I had to use an unrigged hair and expand the width to get a decent fit. The head sliders are the same as for the pre BoM head, and the hairs fit perfectly. So what's going on? In the link above is a link for making your own alphas, so I made a new hair alpha (Woot!!!) and I'm using this now. But why doesn't this hair alpha turn the top of her head red?? Below is two before and after shots. This is my theory........somehow the hair is interacting with the system head. Some hairs change texture without the alpha, and the second before shows this. So unless I'm missing something obvious, if I stay with Genus, I will need to revisit every hair. I will try some resizing later, and I've also got some Lelutka demos, so still a work in progress.

My task was to persuade Eva to transition from Dumb Casual, to Smart Casual, just one time................. I think I might just have made a small impact. I sent Cordelia over to keep her company.

I prefer sunrise or sunset but it really does depend on what I'm doing. Mid day is a very harsh light but OK for avi work. In Belli, it always seems to suddenly go dark.

A movie is something you watch, maybe enjoy and forget. A great movie is one you watch, enjoy, forget some, but then watch again, enjoy, and remember some more. A really great movie is one you just keep watching. This nekro thread is best reburied.

It was there I learned what fun it was to dance in line and chat. A guy called Baron something asked me if I would host at his club, which may have meant something else, but I avoid real work in SL so it didn't happen. When I wasn't there I was at NCI Kuula. Happy times there as a newbie.

Ok, so I get that this will be a traumatic change. Is it really worth the hassle? I can use an alt to work it through, but I'm thinking I can leave my saved outfits with an older head and body and just mess one outfit up with the latest head and body? Until I get a handle on it..... Just read the blog ^^^^ what could possibly go wrong........

Very sad. A great place for newbies, and I spent a lot of time there early on.

@Seicher Rae So I'm new to making male avis. I started from zero knowledge. So I did some reading of Skell's guide and asked around. That took me to Signature Geralt, because this body, although not as well supported as Gianni, does have support. So first, go look at the Signature store. I was impressed. Nice layout, plenty on offer. And with a small range of clothing for Geralt. I then looked at heads and settled on Catwa Victor. This was because my friend asked to keep his old avi look, and Victor was slideable. I had to ask Skell for a bit of guidance on the Catwa hud, about tinting mainly. He was of great help. I used Lure Cain skin. In terms of outfits I went for five: 1: Nothing but boxers....a starter saved outfit. The boxers were from the Signature store. 2: Suit, smart but no tie. Fatpack from the signature store again with multiple suit colours, multiple shirt colours. Separate shoes FP, also from Signature store. 3: Beach. Shorts and flip flops. Both FPs. Jose swimsuit FP, & Millo Copperfield Vintage Flip Flops. 4: Casual. "Not so bad" Samy printed shirt. "Not so bad" Leny denim pants. "Not so bad" Odney sneakers. 5: Smart casual: Hoorenbeek Shelley complete outfit. Shirt, leather jacket, pants, boots. Not a FP, so a single outfit. That was it. It took me four day of intense work but I'm please with the result, and so is my friend.

Just to update, I met with Akeysha in world and we made good progress. Of course the shape doesn't look quite the same in world. She has Catya and Lara and the skin. Still to fix the hair, and some serious slider work I reckon. So far so good.

There is enough. What guy needs more than five outfits? Skell excepted.

What I love about you Ceka, @Ceka Cianci is how you cut through the crap, and talk so much sense. It's so refreshing. If I could make you an honorary Yorkshirewoman I would do so. Here we are the same. We laugh a lot. We use common sense. We cut through the crap. Even so, we have idiots without masks everywhere. It's not good.

I went for Signature Geralt with a Catwa Victor for the guy avi I just finished off.

I can just run three viewers on my laptop but only for photos, and not for long. It manages two much better, and for much longer, but the lag builds, and eventually one crashes.

We had a common room in College. It was a good place to hang out. People hung out with friends. But there were groups in that room to avoid. It was all about attitude, and life is too short to waste time on those people who transmit negative energy. Even if they may not realise this because their self image is not how others see them. Here, in addition to the negative vibe posters, I avoid spammers. It's like ordering a meal without the stuff you don't like. Simple.
