  1. Look at this great achievement! @Paul Hexem & @Always Incognito โ™ฅโ™ฅ
  2. Your post touched my heart, made it ache a little. โ™ฅ๐Ÿ’”โ™ฅ Ebbe Altberg's vision, understanding, inspiration and gentle encouragement in directing Second Life and LL certainly changed my mind about a lot of things in SL and RL. He did it all humbly and gracefully, delegating the right Lindens to exercise their talents to their utmost potential doing jobs they love and giving each of them all the credit due. It appears that is a ๐ŸŽ gift he gave to everyone he met ๐Ÿฅฐ and one that will pay forward ad infinitum. We are so lucky to have had him affect our lives. One person can do so much more than they imagine they can if they are encouraged and supported. Thank you very much for your touching post, @Mankind Tracer . I was so deeply affected by Ebbe's sudden quiet passing it was hard to get past it. Then I watched the Meet The Lindens series for this year on Lab Gab and I understood Ebbe Linden's legacy is still here and thriving. Thanks, Spirit of Ebbe Linden! Please, Do Carry On โœจ
  3. We have a few of these inside Campbell Coast and yeah... they really are a pain. I wonder if you can find them in Campbell Coast? You don't need a lot if tier to make Mainland more beautiful. We will always help with that issue. All you need to do is have time and a desire or time and the ability to make it more beautiful which you obviously do and we will help in any way we can! โ™ฅ
  4. Yes, great idea!!! This is a vid of how to get a Passport and below is a Video about the BBB. I think you should contact @Boo Rojyo or @Jezebel Bailey (Executive Bureaucrats) or @Fenella Allen (editor of the BBB Gazette) Here's a Link to the BBB Gazette! https://lastditch.typepad.com/bbbgazette/ for all good things related to the Passport Activity!
  5. @ChinRey That just broke my heart ๐Ÿ’” I wish I had known in time to help save it ๐Ÿ˜ž HUGS dear ChinRey, I'm so sorry I had no idea Coniston was in such peril. ๐Ÿ˜ž
  6. Are you actually Patch's dad, here in disguise๐Ÿ˜‰?
  7. The only similarity I can see is that all 3 Linden Homes, Private Estates and Mainland can or do contain some form of Community ๐Ÿ˜‰ Mainland IS beautiful... maybe you've not visited the right areas? There are plenty of gorgeous communities on Mainland to suit any sort of taste or lifestyle. For me the exploring and travelling is at least 50% of my time in Second Life. I love collecting the Passport Stamps because I have found many Mainland surprises โ™ฅ
  8. I canโ€™t see the photo for this on my iPad, @Prokofy Neva, but Iโ€™d love to see it so Iโ€™ll try when I get down to my pc and see if itโ€™s just my iPad being in an SL mood or not ๐Ÿ˜‰
  9. Iโ€™d rather not pay a toll to just drive, but I would probably make a donation if there was a Pod lane or an SLRR train track or some sort of automated transportation with some interesting roadside attractions to stop and visit along the way. Hmmmโ€ฆ I think this idea could work with a little more thought so it would appeal to more people. The original London Bridge (the one in the song which was falling down) had market stalls and shops along the edges with a road in the middle. No tolls would be needed if little shops like that were rented to pay the tier.
  10. @Ingrid Ingersoll may I have that also, Ingrid? That is beautiful!
  11. My partner and I have a Camper and a Houseboat in Bellisseria, some Snowland (which has been sadly neglected and will need some attention before winter arrives in RL) and a fishing spot in a dam lake in Atlas, some water and shore parcels in Satori for sale (also may need some re-thinking as they are not selling as fast as Iโ€™d like), and about 4 Regions on the south coast of Corsica which is a Mainland Revitalization project. I think we might need to join forces with @Feorie Frimonโ€™s Operation Mainland project!
  12. I LOVE these! What a fabulous idea! What do you use to record the video and then speed it up? Do you know of anyone who can create those pod routes? I know thereโ€™s a package on MP but I just have no time to figure them out. Iโ€™d happily buy the scripts and package for anyone who would like to do one of these for our Land. Hmmm maybe that would be a great way for some entrepreneur to earn some L$โ€ฆ creating Pod Tours for placesโ€ฆ Make a video for this Topic as the the Tour is created to advertise the Pod Tours for the Land Owner and also help Operation Mainland spread the good news and show off how beautiful Mainland really is!!! โœจ๐Ÿ—บโœจ๐Ÿ โœจ
  13. Pure Tier Rental is L$0.225 per m2 per weekโ€ฆ if you donโ€™t have any spare tier to grab some land around it. Improve it, ask for the Pure Tier to be donated to her Operation Mainland Group and set up a rental or 2โ€ฆ or 6โ€ฆ or 100โ€ฆ blended and decorated to her Headquarters decor and theme! Imagine the traffic those rentals will get on land surrounding Headquarters! Use the Rental income to pay the tier rental! ๐Ÿฅณโœจ๐Ÿ˜ป๐Ÿ . ๐Ÿ—บโ€”->๐ŸŒŽ itโ€™s a wonderful world!!! โค๏ธ
  14. Respectfully, I'm sure that LL is aware of the content and the relevant inclusion is ' "claim" public areas for yourself to the exclusion of other Residents.' I would interpret that to mean, for example: You may add a flat driveway object to connect your parcel to a Public Road but you may not add a walled or curbed driveway which prevents the public from using the sidewalks. As Bellisseria is still evolving and settling now, I would expect that complaints (ARs) are triaged and dealt with accordingly but as there is still a large amount of GoH turnover, and LL may have realized they are wasting a lot of precious time and skilled contractors acting as Compliance Officers being paid to patrol the Regions checking for possible offenders and returning wandering cats when in a second that 15 minutes they spend measuring, reporting and returning (or however long it might take to go through the checklist of possible infringements) all may very well poof during an Abandon before the ink is dry. I would also expect that LL is considering how to best deal with the innocence of ignorance of the importance of the Covenant. I have read the Covenant and I understand it but I don't carry a copy of it along with a measuring device when I'm shopping to ensure I'm not violating the covenant before I purchase an item for my Home. Also, new Premium Residents could be new enough to SL or old enough to take for granted that they read a covenant once and blah, blah, blah I know enough because I've been in SL n number of years and I can grow pot in my Bellisseria Home's backyard and not have learned that its important to set anything which extends aesthetically onto Public land should be set to Phantom or may not understand that there's no need to have a Security Orb teleporting passers-by Home from their unfurnished, staked and claimed Home. There are so many things to consider. An innocent mistake or misunderstanding and subsequent Abuse Report and Return of an Object doesn't strengthen a community, it tends to divide them into eye-rollers vs the self-appointed Neighbourhood Compliance Volunteers. There are so many less offensive and more defensive measures which can be taken first. If there is really a problem like a grief object or an invisi-prim extending out into the street, those home-owners are not invested in the community an probably not going to come over for a barbeque and a friendly discussion about something which affects your enjoyment of your own home, but if its an issue like a wandering kitty-cat that keeps getting stuck in your Lupin garden, that home-owner might come over for a visit and say hello and perhaps notice the kitty-cat stuck in the lupin garden and feel open to a discussion about how to set a Radius, or make it a funny joke and leave a watering can dangling over the Lupin garden watering the cat and send a picture to the owner. Sometimes an 'offensive idiot' is potentially a great friend in a disguise of ignorance. โ™ฅ Common sense and a good amount of peace, love and understanding do strengthen a community and that is what might make or break a long-term retained user vs a short-term "I give up even trying to understand everything I will need to know about how to enjoy SL" lost hater, hating something else. I've been here 6 years and I learn something new almost every day, or finally understand something is different than what I assumed or took for granted and I don't think I will ever know all need to know to enjoy the best possible SL experience but I love it enough to know I won't give up trying. โ™ฅ I still loathe one of my siblings who always would call out "Mum, will you please come and clarify that the blue marbles are mine and the red marbles are hers because she's touching them all... and that sibling still does it at age 54 in one form or another and a referee rarely ends a disagreement with a handshake and m ore often sending someone to the penalty box with a silent pay-back vow. โ™ฅ
  15. I should have also mentioned that the Seller is free to leave or be ejected from the Buyer's Group as soon as all parties have checked that nothing was missed and all the objects will remain in the Buyer's Group and nothing will be Returned by our ever-so vigilant and compulsive tidiness guru, Governor Lindenโ™ฅ My goodness that hamster is EVERYWHERE, all the time! Whatever she eats, I'd try it to get that kind of energy ๐Ÿ˜‰
  16. You are so classy @Evangeline Ling! I immediately thought of this one!...
  17. Maybe we can use another idea from history to truly connect ALL the Continents (except maybe poor Zindra because it has been naughty)... + seriously! ๐Ÿ˜˜
  18. There is a sort of work-around which we use often and I learned about it from our Mainland Specialist Landscaper & Builder. Set the land for sale, including Objects, to the person you want to sell to and ask what Group they want to set their land to (or which Group they want to purchase the land for) Have the Seller(Owner of the object(s) you wish to transfer) join that Group and Set all objects to the new Group and Share them in Edit>General. Have the purchaser buy the land and continue to use all the Shared objects as they are now shared with the new Owners Group. Share will allow anyone with the Group tag to edit modifiable Objects but not to Copy copyable objects unless the Owner gives you Edit rights (not recommended for more than short periods of time, though! Use with caution and remember to Revoke the privilege as soon as possible to keep the peace โ˜ฎ๏ธ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ Oh! ...and leave the land set with the default settings until you check that all is correct... then set your land options and set a 1 min (or reasonable Objects Return time
  19. I feel the same way! Whenever I come across an abandoned micro-parcel adjacent to land we buy I Join it to the rest of the parcel so no one is even tempted to think of putting an ad on it. It's like YouTube and other online products advertising an ad-free rate. How sad that if we don't want to have IN-MY-FACE ads we have to pay for that also... it's not really a choice anymore it's just another over-priced utility bill and a frustrating expense.
  20. Most of Mainland is +4/-4 metres from default. A few Regions on Sansara have a rare +40/-40 limit โ™ฅ In my experience, I just use the largest Smooth at about half strength and terraform in a circular motion like erasing a chalkboard and then decorate using that as a default that is blended to the surrounding parcels. and if any land pops through a garden or a path where I don't want it to I just use the smallest Lower and the smallest Strength and tap the spot until it disappears, if that helps โ™ฅ Thank you for being interested in revitalizing Mainland! Every bit helps it look a bit more loved โ™ฅ
  21. Waves back and starts making Maple Syrup and Creamed Canadian Honey thank- you packages for all the peace, love and understanding โ™ฅ
  22. @Scylla Rhiadra hard to even think of such horrors committed in our beautiful country. How did our forefathers allow this to happen. Indeed my day is now also very sombre ๐Ÿ˜ž. I'm so disappointed to even imagine that these atrocities occurred and our forefathers managed to commit them and hide them. I remember indigenous children as my primary school mates. Many times after winter holidays some did not return in January and if we asked the teachers where they went, they often didn't know. Sometimes their Guardian(s) would come and collect their belongings the teacher cleaned out of their desk. It was very sad to see empty spaces where their art or class decorations had been. My Grade 3 teacher suggested we could send them a package of messages as part of our Language arts and one girl named Alvina sent back a drawing of her family and she had glued ***** willow branchlets on it to represent trees with fluffy snow in the background. ***** willows always remind me of that and how gratifying it was to think of her with her big family all around her. I hope she had a very happy life. ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’”
  23. A Closet Canadian outs himself... Happy Canada Day to the world! ๐ŸŽ‚๐Ÿ ๐Ÿ
  24. Please come and visit Campbell Coast on the South coast of Corsica. You can open World Map and Search for Erazor Region and try to land at the central office beside the Circuit La Corse. It reaches into 9 Regions of Mainland and is surrounded by similar landscaping by neighbouring communities with different (but similar) cohesive landscaping and give us your honest opinion of how we did and how we are doing. We truly rely on the opinions of everyone to make our decisions, good and bad ๐Ÿ โ›ต๏ธ
