What you are asking for is not really possible - there is no system tool that could prevent you from caming to another structure on the same parcel. If you were able to see such installations, then they MUST have been on separate parcels. Eventually put so far apart from each other, that under normal conditions (and preferences set) the viewer would not render them. Zooming in would still be possible, however. See more:

Gently pokes with a link to https://community.secondlife.com/forums/topic/475893-firestorm-guide-book/#comment-2339770 ; Information, any information, is out there - it just needs to be found, sometimes with more, sometimes with less effort. Life is too short to worry and be angry about some things... smile, and continue your adventures. +1.

lumiya app is not working anymore
panterapolnocy replied to ombretta Dagostino's topic in General Discussion Forum
It works, because the login changes were reverted. For how long - no one knows. https://status.secondlifegrid.net/incidents/x7m6jcw3xgk5 See also: https://modemworld.me/2021/12/08/2021-sug-meeting-week-49-summary/ https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-231530 -
Please take a look at and follow the https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-231530 - in particular read the comments.

Indeed, the work put in these is clearly visible, but they're definitely not in my personal taste. Well, at least the teaser with Patch did not lie. He was carrying boxes. We've got box homes. ~ Anywho. Main topic:

I'd suggest looking at https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-231530 and, eventually, https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-231303 - read the comments, especially. Maybe it has something to do with these bugs, even if it's only one account that is affected. Wait for the reply to your support ticket.

Today: Puzzles of Chris Ramsay. ~ -
Please take a look here: https://jira.firestormviewer.org/browse/FIRE-31073 and here: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-230983 / https://bitbucket.org/lindenlab/viewer/commits/84a0ae682ab18f0366528d7d6d449ab95a1fb3f9 - the issue is with not ignoring modifier keys, be it single or double click. Viewer version you are using does not seem to have this patch yet.
-
It would be helpful if you'd tell us what operating system you are using and what viewer, in which version. If it's an older one - you may have some problems. To quote Inara, and the Lab...

I try to treat the avatars as what they present themselves as, I focus on inworld behavior and the "mind", the disembodied person/spirit itself that is driving them - and forget that there is a human being behind them, flesh and bone, controlling them via keyboard and mouse. Second Life is a virtual world, my personality core comes from IRC roleplays, so if there is an option for immersion - I grab it. There are enough humans in real life already, so I let the fantasy flow in virtual environments. Of course, that doesn't change the fact that each avatar (not a bot) IS controlled by a human at the end and every one of them should be shown respect. For some of such, being treated like a creature or animal IS such respect.

A better viewer than the recent Firestorm? (March21)
panterapolnocy replied to RicDelMoro's topic in Second Life Viewer
You may want to take a look at this article. If you didn't update the viewer within these two weeks it is quite possible a Windows update had an influence here - if you're using Windows, that is. You may want to review your currently set graphics settings and adjust them accordingly. Experiment with water transparency, for example. -
A better viewer than the recent Firestorm? (March21)
panterapolnocy replied to RicDelMoro's topic in Second Life Viewer
Firestorm bug, that has been long fixed in the upstream? Hm... I'm not sure about it. @NiranV DeanCan you try to test that again with rigged and non-rigged mesh attachments as well? Because on FS, with a simple prim cube... effect is the same. It's not visible in mouselook - as it should. That linked JIRA ticket also suggests that it may be connected with rigging, therefore a prim is not a reliable test. Kokua does have a switch for that. -

How do other people react to your avatars?
panterapolnocy replied to Gopi Passiflora's topic in Your Avatar
I generally stick to one avatar and one look, changing appearance for an occasion - with clothes only. People called me so many different names, that I've made a guide for them - can be seen below. One person even said that I'm a nice girl, but he would like to see my actual face that is hidden under that mask of a dragon. I've taught him what "furry" is. He teleported out right after without a word.
