  1. You might want to consider a profile picture and/or a catalog to photos. Something to show the types of outfits you have put together. If I was going to hire a personal shopper I would want to see a portfolio of past works... Just something to think about...best of luck.
  2. Since your on a laptop might want to verify that your power settings are not limiting either the video card or CPU. Also my laptop gets about 50% of the performance of my desktop. Ram is very important for SL as well since the client can end up using a ton. If you don't have 8 gb of ram likely beat to close everything else down to ensure that the SL software doesn't need to cache bits to disk.
  3. Perhaps it would be better to describe the actual problem you are having that makes you think you need to clear your cache. Chances are you do not need to be doing that.
  4. Yep sounds like you bought a notecard from Marketplace with some sUrls to where you can rent the land. Your highly unlikely to actually rent the land for free. Check received items for the notecard with the land details.

  6. One important thing to note is that the way your skin look is very Dependant on your computer. What you see for one skin might be very different than someone else. Lighting, level of detail and overall graphic settings play a huge part. My suggestion on skins is to try a number of different demos under different lighting. CalWL windlight is a shadow free option that will give the skin perhaps its truest look. But trying various other settign s with more or leas shadow is important too. Feel free to message me in world, happy to discuss further
  7. Just as an FYI, you cannot sell gacha items via Merchant Outbox. You will need to either use a magic box or wait a few weeks for the new viewer managed marketplace to launch. As for your items, look on the first menu (no idea what FS calls it just that its different from the standard viewer) for an item called Merchant Outbox. The items may be recoverable from there.
  8. It sounds to me like you need to edit your shape (right click your body and choose Edit My Shape). Then adjust the Hover Height property on the shape. You will find hover height at the bottom of the body section. You want it to be 50 typically, right in the middle.

  11. Yes wouldn't worry on it much...the gist of it is...group owners make all the rules, usually dont have rules and can just do what they want...
  12. The guy in this thread claims to have free land for rezzing. But otherwise, for a self-contained RV, why not just rez it out and sit on it when you want to use it? If there's auto-return, all the better: it will automatically tidy up so you won't need to bother picking it up.

  14. I also date my outfits and use that as a way to archive them off once I feel they are too old. My outfits are all in the form Outfit - Keyword(s) - Date. So I might have Outfit - Swimwear - 5/23/15 something like that. I can scan quickly and find what I want. I use the outfit designator because I use the appearance window for more than just saved outfits.
  15. Before I empty my trash I scan it for no copy items because I know u can't get those back. After that I toss it. Inventory organization is a fairly big task but it can be managed. A good first step is to organize when you buy and have a system thank is easy enough to enable you to do it. 80k is a lot. I dropped from 60 to about 25 though after a total reorg happy to chat inventory stuff with anyone, just shout.
  16. Happy to help either of you. Feel free to give me a shout in world.
  17. The short answer is no. The water you see around most regions is not accessible. If you want to fully sail access the area around one region you would need 9 regions.
  18. Feel free to message me in world if you want. Love video games and anime. Happy to chat or hang out in world if your interested.

  20. I have run a small estate for over 3 years. Happy to answer questions based on my experiences. Feel free to msg seanabrady Resident in world for more discussion. 1. Assuming you want to start a private estate and not start buying up mainland to resell, the beat place to start is the land section of these forums. You can get full regions at far less than the normal LL cost. I would recommend never buying a region from LL direct. Always cheaper resident to resident. Should be noted though that LL is still a part of those transactions and handles the money changing hands. 2. Its common to subdivide your land into smaller parcels and then sell/rent those out to people. It is very easy to do on the viewer. Even though others may buy these parcels as the estate owner you still retain the ability to reclaim them. 3. Costs to get started are dependent on your plans but at the minimum. A) you need to buy a dim. This will cost around 300-600 USD. Also plan for the next month's tier which is $295. You will likely need to buy a rental management system to control payments. They are a couple thousand L$. Unless you offer something unique or get really lucky you will need to cover at least partial tier for a number of months. So plan on that cost as well. As for pricing things here is the formula. Itntake 76000 L$ at the common exchange of 248 to make your 295 USD needed each month for tier. That equates to charging about 256 per prim per week at 15000 prims. On full regions, not homesteads, I find at or below 1.50 rents fastest. Anyway feel free tp ask questions here or in world I am happy to try and answer them.
  21. It is nice to not worry about which layer..especially with tattoo layers.
  22. Just set set your expectations, and speaking from the perspective if a private estate. All 512m parcels are at a minimum 117 prims. You could find some for more, but not less. No such thing as a 100 prim 512m parcel. Also the break even point for most estates is around 1.30 per prim per week which is around 150 l$ per week. Not to say you can't find a rental in the range you want but you might have better luck understanding how things run and how the pricing plays out.

  24. I cant tell if this is a real post or not with those pictures at the end, but I will provide some answers for anyone that takes the time to read. 1) As always, this area is monitored by other residents not LL. We cannot help with issues relating to accounts. 2) If you have had an issue with lost items that have the copy permission you can use Marketplace and in world redelivery terminals to retireve many items on your own. This will not work for No Copy items and does require sellers in world to use a system that allows for redelivery. In many cases the systems will show you a web page with everything you have purchased from all supporting stores and you can do a mass redeliver. 3) Please people...protect your passwords. Dont ever give them to anyone. NEVER click a link that shows up in a group without knowing who it is from and why they are sending it. Querstion every link before you click it. Use a strong password that is unique to your SL account. Quite simple be safe and use smart password security. To the OP and others, I have not heard of an instance of true hacking in many many years. In every case I have heard of players were tricked someway into giving up their passwords either via a phishing link or simply sharing it with someone they thought they could trust.
  25. Make a copy of your shape and then change the size of your head. The rigged mesh hair will resize your head and should eventually fit.
