  1. I'm pretty sure it's not opencollar that caused it as I've worn it for a year now and never had this issue. It's probably some kind of other device you used. If you don't want to wear open collar any more turn off rlv and take it off. I'm thinking doing this should also solve the leg problem as it's probably just twisted up inside your body.
  2. I believe there's a full body alpha in the SL library.

Premium accounts are essential for any type of business or building. they can AND SHOULD provide database related help and help for things that are game breakers (like being permanently ghosted somewhere) to there customers. Since free accounts also pay into the game by buying lindens I see no excuse for why they can't provide that sort of assistance to them .And yes I know for a fact they won't help with that since I have been basic for a while had those issues and was told OH you're basic then you're SOL thanks for trying.
  4. it does help to give some info more then my hands look weird. For instance are they mesh or the defualt hands?

Unfortunately though, in any place a little more busy, the lines are back and yes, others see it too Also contacted the mesher 3 days ago but unfortunately no answer yet. there mesh? Is this only seen from a distance? if so it may be a poorly made LOD issue.

Granted it can't wear everything and if your not into the anime look then this isn't for you but it is one solution if you want all mesh and want to wear clothing by a bunch of diffrent designers. I would still not recommend mesh avatars to people new to SL, because they cost more and they limit the choices of clothing extremly. I suppose thhat's true. I only use those avies once and a while nice as tehy are. a mesh head if you want a mesh avie is a good choice though still pricey. Actually avie 2.0 isn't to expensive.
  7. actually confusing a child about there gender is a terrible decision. They tried to expertment with that once with a boy whom had an incident while being circumsized. They tried to raise him as a girl but he never felt "right" evnetually he became so messed up he ended up killing himself. Sooo yeah.... I dunno about that gender nuetral stuff being "modern" modern is more letting the child know it's gender but allowing it to explore what that means to him or her. Edit for typoes
  8. Paypal is not a bank. Paypal has never been a bank. What lead you to believe this I shall never know. They are an online service that works with banks to move money around. They save all your information to a database. THERE database just like amazon.com does. They then request the money from your bank when you make purchases through them. Giving them your address is no safer then giving LL your address as both are legitimate business within the united states and governed by united states law. They are required to protect the identities of the customers per USA law to the best of there abilities. You are no less safe telling them where you live then you were when you told paypal the same thing. AGAIN PAYPAL IS NOT A BANK AND NEVER WAS! To say your being ridiculous here I think is moot point and obivous.
  9. as far as I know since the beams would have to be done with inworld particles then a collision point is not possible. It would be possible in a normal animation program as you could put a end point for the two particles and another particle inbetween to create reaction particles but as far as I know this is not possible in SL. Still if someone can prove me wrong I'd be most excited to see it 'cause it does sound intrigueing.

  11. Is this the new CHUI interface? I've been using firestorm that doesn't have it yet so I dunno. God that's awful. How do you tell what's going on!?

I have decided to not waste anymore money on it. you should always try demos first. Well at least if your picky and like to stick exactly to your size. If your like me and don't care then buy away. lolz
  13. feel free to PM me i'm always up for a chat. Also maybe go to clubs or chat areas and PM people you like the look of/profile of. some people are just shy and don't say much but will chatter away if you PM them first. I know I'm one of those types.
  14. xIITaylorIIx wrote: I usually ask in IM, never open chat but I will try out the various tips I have been given, thank you You will find that some people are stuck up and rude and feel there to snowflake special and they don't want you to copy them. Because you know no one can find it on MP and buy it and the designer doesn't need money to keep making things.
  15. Dresden Ceriano wrote: Rhys Goode wrote: I use the current FireStorm (4.4.2) and sometimes the current SL viewer (3.6.1). In FS, I choose not to use the old-style "pie menu", so in either viewer, if I right click on an object I get a very similar context menu. And I can choose "object profile" to get various details about that object. For either viewer, this works fine for prim attachements on other avatars - hair, skirts, shoes, etc. For FS, but not for the SL viewer, it also works for rigged mesh clothing. For system clothing, the only option is to ask the person wearing it. Right... you can now inspect mesh in Firestorm... I doubt we'll ever see that in the official viewer. ...Dres that's when it works. I find it's a little buggy sometimes.
  16. I'm not sure how to stop that but I don't think that any viewer can access your login information you have to give it to the person somehow. The most common scheme for this is that someone setup a database on a site that doesn't check your information. I think it's usually altavista which I believe is an italian owned site actually. It gives you a free php database. Fro there it's a matter of copying LL's official sign in page so that it sends the information to your database when they fill out the form and then just spamming out the link claiming it's some free something or other on MP and wait for the suckers to fill int that form. If you know just a little php mysql and HTML CSS it's not to terribly hard to setup unfortunatly. Even someone with a little knowledge like me could probably accomplish the task.
  17. I don't think second life is compatible with the google operating system. I could be wrong though.
  18. I use this ruler https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/OO-Avatar-Ruler-precise-height-detector/2769845 It's pretty accurate and if you click it it gives you your hieght. Super easy.

What polices this at present? Just having builders who make polygon nightmares pay more to upload them, or something else also present? If they're asked to pay more - they'll simply pass that fee onto their buyers "blaming" LLs without understanding why they were being charged. What scares me is the occasional people I see who brag about this being a feature of there product like it's a good thing. makes me go whhaaa?
  20. I'm thinking the texture isn't a premade one but completly custom. A google search will bring up a lot of results on how to do this. Here Let me google that for you.

Alicia Sautereau wrote: Elisaisabel Munro wrote: Alicia Sautereau wrote: Nailed it right there, people complain about lag when there is actually no lag at all, it`s their pc and/or connection When i was there 2 days ago, there was no lag, ofcourse so many people in view dropped the fps abit, but in general there wasn`t much rubber banding due to physics being down the drain (lag) yeah, but you can't count on everybody to have great hardware and connection! i know SL challenges your pc, and need to change your hardw. every once in a while.. but come on!... hehehe Where do you read me saying that? I said that lag is a personal matter as every one blames lag on SL and not their awsome or crappy pc and try working around it, all i said is that the sim performance was good and people complain about lag While the server lag may not be that bad the reason why people's computers freak out when loading a lot of people sometimes has to do with the lag inducing scripts or (probably even more frequently) the HUGE TEXTURES that people put on there outfits needlessly. This of course is probably a symptom of being a user made world of course but it is a factor especially for people on bad internet/bad computers.
  22. I would think that theoretical since it's stored in a database they could just delete the entry with your bank info in it. But who am I to say I don't know how to program something as complex as paypal. Not yet anyway. lolz
  23. MelodyHighnote wrote: I am generally not comfortable with private chats with people who are in "ear" shot. My experience with those kinds of messages and chats in any virtual world is that such chats are usually for flirting, and I do not come online for love. Additionally in real life any flirty lines you would not say in earshot of everyone would probably be considered grade A pervert material in mixed company so I dislike when a person opens a private chat just to flirt with me. Heck half the time the stuff I was privately messaged over the course of my virtual world experience WAS perverted. I usually only use private chat to communicate with people who are too far away. If it is something I cannot say openly in that space I wait until I am somewhere else. I tried putting a tag on my avatar explaining my stance on being flirted with or privately chatted with over unimportant things and it ticked someone off to the point that I was muted without being given a chance to explain myself or apologze. As long as you hadn't put it rudly in your profile (which is blank now?) then you have no reason to worry. It's your right not to want to be flirted with in private chat. You don't need to apoligize to someone because something makes you uncomfortable. If they can'tunderstand then just ignore them and move on.

I won't go into details here...but great to see I could make hundreds of L$ with my limited skills for clothing....(mine would look like what she wears in her pictures). I'll stop here. Be happy with your look. It's more then a little petty to spend time insulting someones skills when you yourself don't have them. What she has done may not be to your taste or up to date with current stuff but she is at least trying. You don't get better unless you try and having people insult you every step of the way public is very discouraging to a budding artist. As (I would hope) you mother taught you if you have nothing nice to say then say nothing at all.
  25. WHAT!? Are you trying to tell me your NOT into gesture spam!? I find that hard to believe! Gesture Spam is teh bestest! On a more serious note. I would love to know of a few good clubs to talk to people at as well.
