  1. Yep, you can AR when someone violates the theme. We have to keep on that if we want this new initiative to be a success. Someone else did a giant ugly red REZ sign in their yard, right on the waterfront... and I balked. Sometimes people don't learn from Mainland mistakes, they just want to repeat them and be selfish.
  2. ...just as I finished typing about shy neighbors, one popped over to join me at the campfire. See!
  3. I have/had some neighbors like that, but I found when I decorated, they got encouraged to do that too. If someone doesn't.. meh. They'll move out and someone else'll move in. But I also saw some people put in like one or two things, and maybe they froze up and didn't know what to do. Maybe they got intimidated. Maybe they're shy. I figure they'll come around in time.
  4. Yesterday I was riding around the neighborhoods exploring, and I came upon a guy who was standing on the front lawn of a home and shaking his arm really fast. With the rapid back and forth motion he was making, I thought he was doing something pretty adult for everyone to see. He was standing there very intently and quietly while facing the house's open window. I turned the camera around on him and found him shaking a can of spraypaint. 😂
  5. Some of the complaints, I saw what people were trying to say but they didn't know how to say it. They thought the homes were instanced or procedurally generated (like that one woman who said to "duplicate the code"). They might even think homes here work the way Black Desert Online does, where you approach a house, choose to enter your home rather than the instance of someone else's, and then boom you're in your house. It would be cool if neighborhoods were instanced or procedurally generated, but SL's engine isn't one that can support this.
  6. Even if the Lindens made a ton, they would still probably sell out. It's just impossible to completely satisfy demand with something like this unless they create far too many and begin to suffer a loss.
  7. It would probably seem fair to you if you had one right now though. There's more home parcels coming, so this won't be the only batch.
  8. That's exactly what it feels like for me! A fun dollhouse and a way to get to know people. That's why I like it. It's made my SL experience more game-like again.
  9. Ah, I see. Yeah, no pleasing everyone with that unfortunately.
  10. So for someone standing outside your parcel and you may not know what name they use til they show up, you do two things: 1. Whitelist your parcel via the security orb, 2. Then make sure your Land is set so that no one can see you when you're on your parcel and they are outside of it. That is a real setting that can solve your problem. If you notice someone hovering for a long time over your parcel, ban them when you see them.
  11. I really want to ask--what's the use of worrying about a perceived future stalker? That perceived future stalker will always be there, as long as you imagine them to be. Ban, block, and report any baka harassing you. I've had both of my residences open and I get amused anytime I have a visitor. When they get annoying, I ban and eject them. Never hear from them again.
  12. People vote with their wallets. I don't want a house in Crack Den. I already used to live on the street where Chris Cornell offed himself. Trust me, wasn't a nice street. The way people are decorating their houses is actually fun. You could complain about "little boxes", or just try to celebrate the spirit of the effort?
  13. No, Lindens don't ban you for getting intimate in your own house, that would be silly.
  14. Thanks! The only reason I asked on the forum was because the "report" section said complaints in the wrong field get deleted. It's been a pain trying to find the right place to put this, mostly because I think LL just doesn't deal with this often. I appreciate your help!
  15. Hi, My issue to report isn't covered by Linden Labs' normal ticket system, but it has to do with something the company is invested in directly. So far I haven't been able to contact any staff about this, but one of the reasons why I must report it is because the Linden-sanctioned group knows that no Linden is paying attention. If you are a Linden and you see this, please contact me. If you know where to locate one, please let me know, this is a pretty awful situation and it needs to stop. Thanks, Aemeth Lysette
  16. @Chase01 Yep, I use a Wacom Intuos along with Clip Studio Paint.
  17. Hi! I'm Aemeth. I drew the portrait in my profile av. I'm an illustrator and painter in SL. Most of the time I run around the LEA sandbox on a horse trying to check out what new stuff people have built for show from week to week.
  18. And you've never made any other mesh before? It looks pretty skilled for a first project.
  19. I use precise words (red, blue, etc). If it were me, I wouldn't want to spend ten minutes trying to figure out what name means what color.
  20. Meh. My problem with the blog entry is--the images and layout of the post. It's so narrow, it isn't very image-friendly and makes me not want to read it. One must ask themselves, for a game whose high-end graphics are better suited for widescreen computers, why the blogs on this website don't reflect a layout that is friendlier towards this same resolution. What's up with that?
