It's far worse than that these days. You somehow missed the stache! This is from 2023, so he's been rocking this 'do for a while now. I'd still be peeved about it if it didn't make me laugh so much.

Oh that reminds me, there's some other rock star who went the opposite way. Kinda average to omg whoa these days. I wish I remembered who that was, though. He's from a band I didn't really listen to much, I think...

Oh WAIT! I went back in Discord to where I told my best friend about my dream. It was 2020, and this was the exact quote from that "dream" that morning - "Last I remember Anthony Kiedis had some sort of bowl cut and America deserves answers."

At least Nuno Bettencourt (Extreme, song "More Than Words") is still pretty hot.

Oh, were they going for sexy times? I was getting a "90s rock star" vibe.

Yeah that's dark, I know.

Yeah, when I think "sexy times" and "bathroom", I'm reminded of the video for the Fiona Apple song, "criminal".  (Not very sexy at all.)

I do believe I have lodged this particular peeve prior ...

Children.

No, not people RPing children. Not physical (their actual age) children.

Children of the sort that cannot own their own words and must go back to delete/edit their posts so as to attempt to scrub the forum record of the things they have said. Children of the sort who will abuse the Report tool in an effort to get said words scrubbed a bit more thoroughly (be it through targeted post deletion or thread deletion via mod intervention). Children of the sort who might carefully construct their responses so as to remain within the ToS if called out on them but are quite certainly taking a swipe at others.

Grow up.

I'm a little surprised that you think so, actually.

She's slinking around in a mostly undressed state all over the place in that video, doing that classic "vulnerable but still also kinda sl*tty" thing that has always been such a popular way to portray "fallen women."

It does you credit, maybe.

It's the LITERAL "heroin chic" vibe of the entire video.  Since you brought it up.  🙂

I know a lot of gay men like s3x in bathrooms, but I've never been interested in that either.

ETA:  Ok, now BATHTUBS are different.  I have a REALLY FUNNY story about that.

Bathtubs are indeed different, but they have to be very large bathtubs, or it's too much like sex in a car: sounds good until you find yourself wedged in uncomfortably against the steering wheel.

How on earth did we get on to THIS topic? 😮

Not sex, but I'd probably be ok with Daniel Craig consoling me in the shower.

Wait, what were we talking about again?

Then this may Peeve you. ICYMI, he's gay in the Knives Out movies (bathtub scene is from "Glass Onion"). Hugh Grant played his "partner" in the last movie.

Seen them both, and he's brilliant in them.

Far from being peeved, I have been impressed for some time by Craig's willingness to undercut the "macho" James Bond thing. Indeed, his Bond movies themselves are critique of that.

And then there was the PSA he did with Judi Dench for International Women's Day.

DanielCraigWomanGb080311-696x464.jpg

Can you imagine Sean Connery doing this?

I sure can't. And I like Craig much the better for it.

PEEVE!
(I'm on a roll tonight!)

People who think that "free speech" means one can say any idiotic thing that oozes undigested and unconsidered out of one's addled pate, and if anyone dares question or challenge it, then one's SACRED RIGHTS and FREEDOMS are being trampled upon!

Well, 'free speech' (in the US) does mean that one can say just about anything, regardless of how idiotic.  There are a few restrictions in the US, but not many.

However, that same 'free speech' is also what allows anyone else to question or challenge anything said.  Sometimes the folks dolling out their idiotic statements seem to forget that part.

New restrictions aren't that well publicized, such as in Florida: "A bill filed in the Florida Senate would require bloggers to register with the state and submit periodic reports if they are paid for posts about elected officials."

Yes, exactly. It's this part that bothers me. The sense that "free speech" grants you immunity from criticism of any sort.

Related: people who say "Just my opinion" as though that also means you can't call them out for having a STUPID opinion.
