The main website seems to be down as well - after a wait, I'm getting a "504 Gateway Time-out" error.

I wonder if there's a shortcut for it? I know I've accidently switched things on or off while forgetting the right shortcut for the thing I'm trying to do. Doesn't explain your friends all having the same issue though... Well, FS has the option to not use the pie menu for those of us who don't like the pie menu.

Being leery of those with no age on display would only be an issue if 'hiding' was optional (which I know is what the OAP... sorry, OP... is asking for). Instead though I'd suggest that by default NOBODY'S Second Life age is visible, so everybody is on equal footing (or equally leery of each other). I would however perhaps have it that the hidden age only comes into play after, say, the first 6 or 12 months of membership - that way we can still know that somebody is a 'newbie' and anybody without an age on display is 'six month plus'. Then if you really want to know how long someone has been in SL, you can just ask and believe them or not like everything else.

The original Eve bodies are still around/available, and in more recent times as added the creator has also added Cristal and Ruby to the range, not to mention numerous heads. She's also had something called 'Avatoon' out for some time now. Tonic bodies are back on sale now that the the Prima introductory offers are over. I'm hoping Prima takes off - I think it's a really nice mesh body. I always liked the Tonics when the shoulders and arms were hidden, but Prima is a vast improvement.

The Avatar 2.0 was launched in April 2012 (not 2017) so should be up there with Petites at the top of the list!

I think it's really cool that all the people who like to wander around with their LODS set permanently on 4 don't care what their avatars look like and don't mind that they might look bald and naked to the rest of us.

Another hour later, and It appears to be back now. albeit with a 502 Bad Gateway on the Linden Exchange panel.

I'm all set to buy a new desktop PC, but hesitating on decisions around the graphics card and CPU. Advice on whether I'm just wasting money on specifications (or the wrong specifications) would be appreciated. I was about to forge ahead with: Intel Core i5 Six i5-11600KF (3.9 GHz, 12 MB Cache) 12GB NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3060 16gb RAM (2x8gb) No real rhyme or reason to my choices, other than "Ooh I think 12gb sounds good for graphics! It's a higher number". I'm sure it's good, but is it also pointless? I guess the question is - is that overkill for running SL? Should I go with the GTX series instead? How important is GPU memory - is higher Gb on the GPU beneficial? Would more multi-cores and/or a higher CPU GHz be better place to put my money? An i7 maybe? Notes about me: I'm NOT (currently) a gamer, and for work I MAINLY use my computer for graphic design and publishing. Hobby wise I also use it for some music production just using a DAW and virtual instruments. There is however a possibility I may be doing some video editing. A multi-monitor set-up might be something I'll want for the future. Any advice would be welcome.
