  1. I don't think her "association" with Maitreya is any different than her association with Belleza or Slink. In fact, she's made sizes for Maitreya, Slink, and Belleza since she's been making fitmesh. I'm not sure what association you are referring to anyway. Do you consider anyone who makes Maitreya sized clothing to have some kind of unique association? The real tell here isn't the number that request for Maitreya .. it's how few ask for the other bodies. So using your argument, there are many who don't think that at some point they might want to even try the other brands. Even more telling! She is probably the most popular clothier on the whole grid and has been for some time now. So no, I don't think the fact that it's Blue makes the numbers any less valid, quite the opposite in fact. She is in a unique position to gather more data than most.
  2. Traffic has been gamed since SL opened its doors. I don't think it counts for much nowadays anyway. You certainly don't see near as many of the incentives merchants used to offer to get people to "camp out" at their stores. In any case, the rule for using scripted agents is still in place, who knows if anyone actually abides by that rule though.
  3. There are four things you can never take off, you can only replace them. They are skin, shape, eyes, and hairbase. So what is happening is you've tried a demo for a shape. Typically shape makers make their demos with extra large hands and feet. Of course the actual shape when purchased will have normal hands and feet.
  4. You can AR anything. The question is did LL impose a penalty for doing so? I doubt it seriously.
  5. In the Sansar store you can go to any item in the store and if you've already purchased the item this is what you see instead of the buy button. You hit the purchased button and get this popup: So they know how to do this already. Hopefully they could do it the same way for the MP.
  6. Reread her final sentence from the original post. Count the question marks. There are two questions. The last one goes beyond just is it griefing. That's why most of us said technically it's not griefing but then went further to say why people could be offended and possibly complain about the experience. And I think each and everyone of us added that it's her land and she can do whatever she wants with it. Had she only asked about griefing this entire thread would have looked different.
  7. You didn't find the UUID of the Slink, Tone 5 body. What you did was make a screen shot of a patch of the skin and then imported that image using the standard import texture method available in any viewer. You then obtained the UUID for the texture you just uploaded. That is NOT the UUID for the actual Slink skin. It's also not advisable to do so as it is considered theft regardless.
  8. If you were to section off a small parcel where your actual home is and where you do not want visitors to enter and then placed the hornet nests inside that area visitors would get pushed out of your private area and back into the public areas. This way your hornets could do their job but still allow your visitors to explore the area you've designed for public access. Add a description to the private area indicating it is for private use only. No need to warn guests that hornets may be about because they are only getting pushed back into the public area rather than ejected from the park. I have done something similar where I live with my home completely open to the public but my private dressing area is guarded by a security orb.
  9. You couldn't pay me to enter your land. lol. Not that I'm afraid of being kicked out of the land but you clearly don't want guests unless you can play a prank on them. I'm not going to be part of your sick joke. Adding .. and with that I'm out. I have said too much already.
  10. I went there today. I didn't step foot in your inhospitable parcel. I wanted to see for myself what you had written in the description. I don't care when you wrote it. It's still there and people can innocently inter that land and stumble into the trap you have set for them. But hey, it's your land. How you treat your guests, that you have told is open for everyone to ENJOY, is your business. But then you made it our business by asking a question you really didn't want an answer to.
  11. No, you asked if was possible for people to be offended or complain.
  12. Here's exactly what is in the land description: The description is very misleading. It was quite easy to find this land since you advertised it in land for sale.
  13. 66 .. so older but not as much as I thought 66 yesterday to be exact
  14. I'm very American and have used that word since I was a young girl. Perhaps it's a generational thing. You're much younger than I. Well I'm pretty sure you are.
  15. I think it would be totally different if they were just being attacked. In other words they were chased but not pushed past the property line. That would be a pretty cool experience but that's not what you've set up according to what you've posted. It's not a situation of someone out in nature walking and stumbling upon a hornet nest. You are pushing them off the land .. basically kicking them out. And honestly, I'd have no issue whatsoever with that if you hadn't advertised the land as being public. It's not public. You have a white list. That makes it not public. It's basically a trap laying in wait. But anyway, it's your land. You certainly have a right to do whatever you want with your land, but you asked the question. So that's my answer.
  16. I want to be clear about this. I have no problem with there being a specific emoji to show scorn. It's a legitimate response in some cases and who is to say what would be appropriate or not. My biggest problem is the ambiguity in using the laugh emoji now to show both scorn and humor. To say that we shouldn't be able to react negatively to a post is silly and immature IMO. added: Definition of scorn 1: open dislike and disrespect or derision often mixed with indignation 2: an expression of contempt or derision 3: an object of extreme disdain, contempt, or derision : something contemptible After reading the definition for scorn carefully I think showing scorn goes beyond what I believe is proper in these situations. I don't think anyone should disrespect another person regardless of agreement. You can disagree and still show respect. It's simple common courtesy. So I amend my response to say I have no problem with having an emoji to show dislike or disagreement.
  17. To get technical: A griefer or bad faith player is a player in a multiplayer video game who deliberately irritates and harasses other players within the game (trolling), using aspects of the game in intended or unintended ways.[1] A griefer derives pleasure primarily or exclusively from the act of annoying other users, and as such is a particular nuisance in online gaming communities, since griefers often cannot be deterred by penalties related to in-game goals.[2] This creates a strong division between griefing and cheating, since cheating is done with intent of winning the game and thus is discouraged by in-game penalties. Using this definition: 1. are you a player in an mpg - yes, with the caveat that SL is not a game 2. are you irritating the people visiting your so-called public space - from the replies here I'd think yes, you are 3. are you using the swarm/land as intended - yes 4. are you annoying your visitors - most likely yes 5. can you receive a penalty for such behavior - no So while I believe you can face no penalty for such behavior I think this behavior fits quite nicely within this definition of griefing. So what I'm wondering is this. Did you ask if it could be considered griefing because you wanted to be sure you wouldn't get some kind of penalty or because you were concerned that you might be annoying the very same people you invited into your land?
  18. You aren't pushing them around, you are kicking them off the land essentially saying I invited you in now get the hell out! That's not funny, IMO.
  19. It kinda sounds like a bait and switch thing. You invite people to enjoy your land but you essentially have a security orb activated to remove people. You advertise in the description one thing but in reality it's a very inhospitable place. Of course it's your land and you can whatever you want with it. It's not griefing. But it is bait and switch IMO.
  20. These are the results of a more current pole taken from a wider audience with more participants.
  21. This won't help you now, but once we get BoM you will be able to bake the clothing layer onto the skin and prevent skin poke through from happening kind of what we used to do with glitch pants and flexi skirts. Hopefully we will still have one onion layer for clothing and you'd also want to apply the clothing to that onion layer so that the clothing didn't mold to the body like painted on fabric.
  22. I would like to see a miracle cure that would make all current appliers work with BoM without having to use an applier ever again. You see why I say miracle cure. I think this is impossible, but I've learned with technology what was once an impossibility has become commonplace, so fingers crossed.
  23. I agree and it's why I won't use the laugh that way. Although I have used it that way once to the very person who does it the most. I figured turnabout is fair play.
