What in the world is this?
Whirly Fizzle replied to Selene Gregoire's topic in General Discussion Forum
Your options will be limited. As far as I'm aware no TPV based off the current LL viewer use a different method to store login credentials. I suggest you try Singularity or CoolVL viewer. It's possible those V1 based viewers use a different method, but I'm not sure. I'm also not sure whether any other TPV stores multiple sets of usernames & passwords like Firestorm does. The LL viewer certainly doesn't. It will only remember your last used username & password. -

Technically not a bug. But with Windows 10 changing the machine ID so frequently now, it's become an inconvenience. This has been discussed several times within the Firestorm team about how it could be changed & still store your usernames & passwords securely. However changing the way credentials are stored to a different method to that which the Linden viewer uses has everyone a bit nervous. It's likely Firestorm won't change it till LL makes a change in their viewer. It was one of the Firestorm developers that filed: BUG-139291 - Windows product key not suitable as unique machine key -

No Double Click in SL after Win10 Updates
Whirly Fizzle replied to Dictatorshop's topic in Second Life Viewer
If you run the viewer as admin, does double click work then? Right click desktop shortcut to viewer -> Run as administrator. Bit of a long shot but I'm wondering if the Win update has messed up some permissions. If double click works when running with admin perms then we know where to start looking. -

It does appear that those who have updated to Mac Mojave can no longer reproduce this bug. So it's only affecting older Mac OS (in which case the "fix" is probably going to be them told to update to Mojave), and Linux - seemingly all flavours of Linux.

Yep, looks totally fine on Windows. https://gyazo.com/3ebaac92347549a8c1cd066cf44caca2

All Emote chat sent to /4
Whirly Fizzle replied to Elaema's topic in General Second Life Tech Discussion
Does the problem still happen on another region? It's possible you have dropped a scripted thingy that sends your emotes to ch4 on your home region. -
The notecards are probably opening off screen. Have a look at this wiki page: https://wiki.firestormviewer.org/missing_windows

Moving / Editing Objects
Whirly Fizzle replied to missronnienz's topic in General Second Life Tech Discussion
By "circular drop down" option, do you mean the pie menu in Firestorm? Just to clarify, if you right click on an object you own, is the problem that the "Edit" option is greyed out? -

It looks like this bug: BUG-8801 - Certain Mesh Hair with alpha triangles, Mac and Linux specific If you happen to be using Firestorm viewer, we have a fix for this bug, which will be in the next Firestorm release.
