  1. There is an inworld FIC group that is free to join: secondlife:///app/group/2a5d64d0-65a4-34d1-1462-c62242c1494b/about
  2. I use voice chat rarely; just to help someone migrate to Discord. Voice chat is just too unreliable. I mean long term unreliable. I give it a chance again every time the king-of-the-hill third-party voice program gets pushed off the hilltop. I use third party voice programs often. Discord is currently king, but there were several before that.
  3. Perhaps we agree that the size-premium on Li isn't working out very well. It's encouraging people to use simple mesh converters to convert old sculpties at high resolutions for tiny objects.
  4. I wish whoever decided to remove last names has to wear Shrek Ears for a week. See link for detailed explanation, but the short version is:
  5. I got the allusion the first time. I thought it was kind of obvious. Good on you.
  6. Those aren't houses and the like, which get the size tax.
  7. I bet you can put an outfit on him and an AO, and he'd be 10 times a better wingman than Animesh!
  8. Yeah, builders of houses and the like have Li and triangles under control, but the clothing is way out of control. Pitty that the sales "tax" on marketplace can't be based on the Li equivalent of the outfit.
  9. You can file a support ticket and get him back. You probably know this already, but I say it for others.
  10. Or Original Poster could take an opensource tip script and modify it, thus seeing functional scripts that take L$ and do things. Then Original Poster could learn the script-delete technique from an open source Scrubber script that deletes its own script. If one doesn't know scripting, it can help to start by diving deeper into modifying existing scripts. It is a trivial script, I agree, and a good opportunity for Original Poster to dive in and learn. The problem with doing it for hire, is the long process of the customer discovering what they really want, and coaxing them through all the modifications in an agile development process. That's all very time consuming. 10 minutes to write the script. One week meeting with the customer daily for half an hour to do modifications as they discover what they want, or as they circle back to the real customer that's pay them 10x for it.
  11. Use http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Money to accumulate the total amount received, and llDie() when total received is greater than or equal to N x Price.
  12. Bakes on mesh is motivated by technical considerations. Hopefully we'll get some usability improvements out of it too, but that's not the big idea. I keep up by reading @Nalates Urriah 's blog.
  13. Pie-menus: No. WASD: Always. ditto what Wulfie already said.
  14. Okay, I got Sublime Text working. I had to A. Uninstall Sublime Text via Windows 10 add/remove programs B. Delete all the files out of C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Sublime Text 3 C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Sublime Text 3 C. Re-install Sublime Text from https://www.sublimetext.com/ D. Re-install my Sublime Text License E. Install Package Control as described in https://packagecontrol.io/installation F. Thereafter, follow directions for =BB= LSL Installation as shown at https://github.com/buildersbrewery/sublime-lsl/blob/master/README.md G. Thereafter, set up Indent Styles as shown at: https://github.com/buildersbrewery/sublime-lsl/blob/master/README.md#indent-styles H. Thereafter, set up ToolTips as shown at: https://github.com/buildersbrewery/sublime-lsl/blob/master/README.md#tooltips I. Thereafter set up the LSL package per Wulfie's note J. Thereafter notice that ToolTips quit working because those are part of =BB= LSL. Duh! K. Thereafter reinstall =BB= LSL, which got ToolTips working again. Apparently "LSL" and "=BB= LSL" co-exist somewhat. I don't have that figured out yet. Each step I vaguely remembered doing before on my older computer (now backup computer). Thanks to all. Every little bit helped!
  15. @Innula Zenovka , I replaced my machine and am having trouble getting the Builders Brewery LSL package installed on Sublime Text. https://github.com/buildersbrewery/sublime-lsl/blob/master/README.md https://github.com/buildersbrewery/sublime-lsl/blob/master/README.md Requirements Sublime Text Build 3154 or later Sublime Text 3 (stable) Sublime Text 3 (dev) Buy a new license: https://www.sublimetext.com/buy?v=3.0 Retrieve a lost license: https://www.sublimetext.com/retrieve_key Package Control via Tools > Install Package Control … SublimeLinter Open the command palette via Tools > Command Palette Select Package Control: Install Package Select SublimeLinter Installation Make sure your setup meets the requirements before you: open Sublime Text open the command palette via Tools > Command Palette select Package Control: Install Package select =BB= LSL ⚠ To get LSL syntax highlighting in tooltips, refer to the settings section. Close and re-open Sublime Text. I have a valid license, and my Sublime Text Registration is showing as valid in Help:About. I'm using Dev Channel, Build 3210. UPDATE: I get the same result with Build 3207. My problem is with the "Select SublimeLinter" step under "Requirements. Select Package Control: Install Package Select SublimeLinter I see pages and pages of "SublimeLinter-yada yada yada" and don't know which one to pick. Trying a few of the "SublimeLinter-yada yada yada" has not helped so far, because on the next steps open Sublime Text open the command palette via Tools > Command Palette select Package Control: Install Package select =BB= LSL I never see the "=BB= LSL" option, and so I can't select it.
  16. Has he tried logging into his Web Page? He should get an alert when he does so, explaining the issue.
