  1. Thanks for posting - I can see where they acknowledge the time and effort in Bellisseria from some of the active residents. When it comes to the points being raised in the thread I feel from my personal experience I spent a heck of a lot of time over the last few years lovestruck by the place, the concept - everything. I really was enjoying it. Here is a tiny example of mine which does raise questions / thoughts - it takes over two days for me a UK resident to get a Belli support ticket answered - even when posted in the Belli chat - and then I read the US resident with same issue often has a mole or a Linden visit and fix the issue much quicker. Maybe circumstances at play with time zones? but it does make one question, it will leave a seed of doubt. I realise that I was one of the Belli house hopping hunters and for that I maybe wasn't seen as someone who respected the place? - but the opposite is true.
  2. Also part of my reason that I have done both of those things also. Left the chat, left events and stopped exploring as much as I did. The enthusiasm is dampened by what you described Elena and some of the points Prokofy raised.
  3. I've just found this with a long standing community in SL and it really opened my eyes - upset me. The loyal ones are there to be friendly recruiters and swell numbers. They resorted to some pretty upsetting tactics to show me that yes I was welcome as a number but that they already had enough prominent members with no room for more. It was all very polite and subtle bullying. Shocked me completely. I agree with some of the points you raised in this post I quoted. With Bellisseria the emergence of this BBB thing I was ignoring for a bit as I thought as a resident thing it could not become particularly prominent - I am aware that some Bellisserians are more integrated than others and I was attracted mainly because of the "level playing field" it was advertising. It is not a community I have ever made waves in or felt that I could crack into therefore that I could really be a member of fully. I have a lovely region named, a great home and LL have been gracious to me. The home is in Places of Interest - I think that the decorating side of things has been so much fun and I welcome that. But I struggle with the community end of it I feel like one of the number but from there - bit lost!
  4. We have an Archery range here : https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Kenneth/136/245/59 Of course it is more like an eye test than anything - but almost as good as the real thing
  5. Well my chimneys need sweeping so if we do win a visit from Santa Patch it's 2 for 1
  6. My RL home is Victorian and I put this exact purple shade on the hallway walls many moons ago - it's called "Addiction"!
  7. I love that people are doing the ceilings too - I've always had to use an extra prim or two on ceilings it would be great to have tintable ceilings (says ceilings three times, no four!)
  8. Kenneth Hall is having a winter makeover to make way for the new season. Apologies if I have accidentally dropped a home on your head whilst visiting or if you visited to find the resultant mess, please check back!
  9. There could be original donation items from Bellisseria residents who create things to swell the size of the Christmas treasure hoard and not just be one item? Maybe? I am sure there will be arguments against that but it helps to involve people, its creative? I guess I am getting inspired / carried away with ideas like the book Masquerade which was a big deal in the UK
  10. I would like Patch's gift / treasure hunt back instead - I met many other seekers during that, was lots of fun and made us use our grey matter. Everyone who found it got the prize and those that didn't were politely helped by others and no one gave up the secret as far as I know to spoil for anyone else. It was great and although I loved the effort put in by some of the candy bucket hiders I would prefer this one treasure hoard, one prize for all
  11. Sea facing coastal victorian picked up yesterday is going back in now : https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Alban Heights/124/72/0 has a driveway and very pretty aspect
  12. https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Kenneth/124/232/0 - plus free gifts outside and in
  13. Lots of people for the fun it would seem which is good to see. I am not using the pin but I am on a list and the POH places of interest.
  14. Also about to go is this very lovely stilt on a pier whose back faces the mountains / greenery and if I could have a lot of homes this Stilt would be the one - https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Westley/40/228/0
  15. Putting a really fab traditional back now it faces a waterfall and heads out onto the camper route https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Wiggle/72/164/0 Also had my first spot of a Governance Linden...🐝
  16. My bucket has almost hit the 100 candies given out mark so - still feels quite a low number considering when I was hunting for them I saw buckets heading toward that giveout mark already. My neighbour just put a bucket out in Kenneth as well so there are at least two in Kenneth!!!! SHOUTS!
  17. 8 home choices on the land page including boats, trads and victorians!
  18. I am sad to hear this happened - I was ejected too from a couple of places. I would love to think that all of my visitors took a look around my place of interest home whilst tapping my bucket, took some free stuff, played some games and watched my slideshow but it is only a small margin of people who want to engage that way. However every so often someone signs the guestbook and I am reminded that community does exist!
  19. I think Bellisseria needs this kind of regular event - it unites people. My candy give out number is quite high now and I have enjoyed being a part of that more than collecting candies so I gave up mainly because of RL time and that a list that was sent to me took the fun out of the finding I decided not to keep collecting. I thought the people who hid their buckets really went to town on it to create an experience for others and that was way more fun - personally. So my motivation is to take part as a giver of candy only!
  20. There must be two kinds of candy people - ones who want the bears and ones who want the experience. I am in the latter but I have catered to the former by not hiding my bucket
  21. I think I might be completely opposite to everyone else in that I found looking for one bucket in one place for half an hour more fun than looking for the rest which I've given up doing now at 27 total I can't catch up with the massive totals others are coming up with - I have only given out 11 candies too and mine is in plain sight from the road!
  22. And I also need to knock down the secret tunnel that links directly from my home to my paypal account...
  23. Waiting for Trick or Treat to start!...🖤
