  1. Thank you I did not see the decorated home I will look now!
  2. Top marks for the Peace Lilies as well I hope they come in the pack because although I am not into this style the potential is large and I would really like these!
  3. I am thinking some of this retro styled and bright / jewel toned stuff would look really good in the new homes or Art Deco 20s in black and gold - some people here really know how to do this sort of look well and some stores on the MP have pretty much all you would need...
  4. I've gone back to see the changes - I feel completely freaked out. In RL I schooled in Coniston and currently live a stones throw from Heaton. Bizzare! Still not wanting a Modern style for myself but I like them more with the adaptions I think people will really warm to them eventually and that lots of really colourful bold / blocky designs are going to happen. And as someone said here lots of colourful roof gardens which is quite exciting and now I am thinking I might even try one. I think the landscaping in the regions for real will also sway on the fencers.
  5. They are almost how I saw in the photo I posted on the other thread - I heard "condo" so I went looking for photos of detached homes that looked a bit like the condo style because I knew they could not be small apartments. It is also flat and with small pools. Result! And 512? If that is so, hooray! I don't want a modern home myself but thanks for the work you have done with the theme Lindens & Moles
  6. Looks great! These are just my thoughts on decor - whatever I use in RL I know will work in SL. But it is time consuming. Nice to see some people are taking up on it in their forum photos
  7. I think something like this : modern with sloped roof on some models maybe and open doors to lakes and flatter landscaping
  8. It will look really good - matching the interior woods or interior paint on the ceilings is the jewel of decor I think
  9. I have been all over rental places and some are lovely, very well done but the one thing I can't go for is already furnished!
  10. Huge fan of the panelling and dark colours as most people know I always plump for that - I think ooo make the ceilings tintable though as a lot of interior work I do in RL (and SL) we like to make the ceiling and the woodwork / radiators / interior doors the same colour rather than as a trim
  11. For me it is a sea view because I find the edges more interesting less closed in and so yes to be closed in on an edge not ideal. I like to be able to watch the traffic go by - there are lots of boats, planes and just now a helicopter going past my place (east coast log)
  12. I got a coastal log with high cliff behind it so I am building this, (yes nothing is matched up yet), in the roof...unmatched sea view with sunrise, have not lost too much allowance either
  13. Buy train to rez at station no timetabled trains - there is a list of landmarked stations available
  14. Is this what you mean : https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Havana-pergola-with-climbing-roses/21312611 Its copy /mod and roses can come off I expect - it is hard for me to see in your photo and I am not very familiar with stilt models!
  15. Yes just on the MP - the inworld store (also a bit of a roleplay store) is being assembled but feel free to nosey about - thanks for the mention Elena! x
  16. Good luck! I guess the only thing about that prize is you just don't know what theme you will get or where on the map so only bid if you are open to anything! We both got log homes you have a gorgeous lake one I think? I love my coastal one!
  17. Love it! My non Linden home sort of decorated - Linden home has a tree up at least!
  18. This is where I bid for and won an auction "Name a Bellisseria Region" - it is a great prize and finally provided me with my forever Linden home. Long wait from win to receive as due to the nature of it - but great prize! If you can find the vendor, (took me a long time for the whole event to rez up!) Hope they have this as an option this year!
  19. Thanks for not locking it outright despite a leaning to the inflammatory at times, I think some of the posts give a voice to the thoughts/feelings of people who are either wanting to be more involved in Bellisseria but struggling to see how or not quite sure of the direction of Bellisseria - among other views. If those voices go unheard they might give up on the place.
  20. I saw the invite - great to be invited and I think the couple were given an amazing gift, truly. It is just there is no one size fits all response or reaction and whilst we welcome being invited it is like an invite to someone else's party - rather than an event held for all of us - not all of us will feel the same attending an event like that.
  21. With regards weddings and things being offered to people - I did not attend purely because I am not personally known to the couple - I visited later before it was all packed away and it looked truly mind blowing in terms of set-up. What an offer! Very generous of LL to offer to them. But again perhaps something that may have made more sense for the whole of the community was do something on a level playing field that encompassed all residents seeing as it was the opening of a community centre. As much as we wish this couple well - and we all do! - some of us would feel a wedding a more private affair - even with the open invite - as such I was not comfortable just turning up - it did not mean I wasn't interested in the opening or that an event was happening.
