  1. File tickets until the lab is flooded with them. The more the better. That's all we can do besides hope, pray (when religious) and watch the fireworks tonight (when available). I will not touch my marketplace listings the next couple of days, that is for sure. When one gets shaved, one has to sit still.
  2. My guess: "Yes boss. PBR is integrated at the end of 2023, as promised". And since the boss only shows up in world if he really has to and has no real clue (like most of us) about the finesses of PBR, that will do. As long as it looks good in the 2023 books. The rest comes later or will simply be forgotten and ignored (as we have seen before with some other projects) until Second Life will come out of beta stages (expected somewhere in 2065). Hey, after all sim crossing isn't that bad anymore in 2023.
  3. I took a mesh body, because it is much easier to dress than a system body. Of course I use a Gianni. Not because it is the best (is there a best?) but because 90+% of the fashion makers create for that body. It's pure practical.
  4. I just checked: It is almost totally empty inside.
  5. I have other things to do then following an university study about the basics of current mesh heads. People who don't like my system head can feel free to ignore me if they want to.
  6. What? "The twelve days of Christmas" is a gift extravaganza combined with Lelutka heads. Every child knows that. More than worth to make a song about, right?
  7. Just leave it there. Imagine: just 337 days until Black Friday 2024 ..... better use your time making shopping and wish lists in advance. After all one needs at least two new heads, a new body, five new skins, 24 pairs of shoes and boots, a handful of two of new hair styles .......... and, and, and...
  8. That is a good thing. Politics are officially declared unwanted here many moons ago.
  9. But Firestorm is not the snake oil solution for everything. It has it's issues too, more than once. It is a bit strange if someone says they have a problem with the engine of their Ford, to give as the solution: "Buy a Toyota".
  10. You must be a true believer, if you think Firestorm is the snake oil solution for every issue that is SL related.
  11. IMHO mentors should be there for the first steps in SL, like avoiding getting a box on your head, teleporting, understanding what L$ are, where to get them, how to sit and stand, that kind of stuff: The basics. Then the rest is up to the social environment that the newb embeds into. Mentors should not be life long assistants and or influencers IMHO.
  12. A lot of merchants work weeks ahead of time. I for instance already started for the Valentines shop and hop, just in case my entry will be accepted. If the boxing is done, the pictures and posters made, the vendors loaded, it is an awful lot of extra work to just change a name, if one finds out that competition comes a few days earlier than you with a similar name on a similar product (a head in this case). It would take hours and hours of extra work to rename, rebox, refill the vendors, make new posters, just to rename a head from Noel to Rudolph or so. I can totally understand that the creator behind the Logo heads left it untouched.
  13. These things happen. The names are quite obvious for a Christmas gift release. Just like Valentine or Valentino for Valentines day. Plus, there is that proverb about that gifted horse right? So I would get the head if I liked it, same name or not.
  14. Don't expect too much from SL or the forums. That helps a lot.
  15. The forums aren't that toxic at all IMHO. There are far worse places on the Internet. Of course one needs a bit of skin at places where things are discussed (no matter what the subject is). Most discussions go down pretty civil here, if you ask me. I never found SL to be toxic at all, but then again I'm never really in SL, I have a puppet in SL and I'm behind the keyboard at home. So it is not really immersive for me, that helps a lot I guess.
  16. There was a time I had a lot of volunteer jobs in the church. My personal record stands at 4 services during a December 24. The normal Sunday survice and three masses at Christmas Eve and two times coffee with the dean in between services. And than on the two Christmas days (NL is one of the countries that celebrates with two days) two more to go. Those were the days. Because of the abuse scandals in the church I quitted all those jobs and haven't set foot in a church for many years. So that peeve solved my time problem on Christmas eve for sure.
  17. Except for the hering, they are all very good and just snacks and candy. It is not what one gets served in a restaurant. But one doesn't come to the Netherlands for the exceptional cuisine either, but that was not the discussion at the moment, was it?
