  1. I noticed a sudden increase of Users reporting this problem all of a sudden. Something must be going on at the lab in the background And Does not help any one much if the Wiki is down lol
  2. Check your email for Any thing from Linden Lab Sounds Like a hardware ban if you can use other computers to log into SL
  3. It is against Terms of service to Use Bots for traffic inflation. Altho there are many that are using them. If you run into a massive bot situation. File an abuse report with Screen shots So it can be investigated
  4. If your account or computer was banned. You should have gotten an Email stating so . Your best bet would be to submit a ticket or contact Linden Lab by phone Here is some Info about Login Failures and restricted accounts http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Login-failure/ta-p/700109 Sounds like a Hardware ban if you can access SLt with other Computers
  5. If your Inventory does not start loading immediately after you log in then open your inventory and type AEIOUYX in the search and it will speed up the download
  6. This is a new bug that seems to have surfaced in the latest viewer build. They do not have an x to close them either, I used Viewer 2.6 yesterday and every time I would undock groups window or any other window I would end up with these residual empty windows that you can not close. Quite annoying They will stack up on your upper left when you minimize them. A relog is the only way to close them :smileyindifferent:
  7. You can always stop by and fill out an Application http://slurl.com/secondlife/Sweethearts/82/166/24
  8. There is also another deformer that does not ask you for permission to animate your avatar. It relies on clicks. If someone clicks anywhere in their screen it can be triggered to allow. It encourages clicking by floating little lights by your view to entice the users to try and click on the floating lights. The offending resident will be wearing huge prim and can be seen by enabling ctrl/alt/t. You should see a huge red transparent prim attached to the offending resident I would also like to ad. the Best ways to protect your self on some of these gadgets, is to go to the marketplace and search for all the deformer huds, and read the features and how they work.
  9. Sounds like Bad server lag to me. Either have the region restarted or wait till the server gets caught up
  10. Paige I noticed you say you are using Phoenix viewer. And also have other viewers installed. Do you have a different cache folder set up for your viewers? If Not I really really recommend doing so to help keep from having inventory issues.. You could also try manually deleting your cache. Open your Prefs in Phoenix and go to network and folders and navigate to your cache folder. Or Just Just create a new folder in your documents folder and direct your cache to the new folder and restart your viewer. If you are using a wireless router. Also try unplugging it and plugging it back in to reset it.. This helps sometimes.
  11. Click on your name at the top right of this page and it should show you all your posts
  12. Sounds like somone is using a deformer hud on you maybe. Not sure if there is a way to find out who is doing it. More than likely somone asked you for a hug with a popup mesage or to animate your avatar thus tricking you to say OK! When you click YES! they will then have control to edit your avatar. So watch who has asked you to recently animate your avatar with a popup request I was always told a relog always fixes it.. ( Because it releases the control another avatar had on you)
  13. I think it would depend more on how much memory each script uses. And the other factor would be how busy is the region you enter. 200 script using a high amount of memory can be hard on a busy region. It is my understanding a Region is allowed 800 megs to run on.. Some users are using 10 megs or more with 200+ scripts(resizers).. 50 Residents using 10 megs, uses up 500 megs of memory... Right there, you have almost depleted the memory pool for the region. I see many resident entering my region using upwards of 25 megs . Incredible amount of script on their avatars. 800+ It has been a big problem on my region. After working with people and trying to explain to them how and what they need to do, we have managed to bring our sim way down on script usage. and the comfort is much better, However it should not be up to the land owners to have to work with the residents on a system that is flawed. It made a lot of people angry when we would even ask them to reduce their script usage. It Brings up the drama level for the community that's for sure LOL I ask residents visiting and my staff to keep their scripts down below 100 scripts to help ease the load on our region. But less busy regions can handle more per avatar......
  14. I can answer that for you Phylis. Passing around private conversations between the owners and others is against SL terms of Service. You were banned For that reason. In fact you always know who to contact since you were an Ex employee. Instead you chose to ask here.. Oh well You were banned for disclosure
  15. My First question would be since you have several viewers installed. Do you have a separate cache folder created for each viewer and directed so in Preferences? Very important to do this. I never use the default cache setup on all viewers to prevent clothing an inventory issues. Corruption can occur. You can change your cache location in Preferences/ network or Network and Folders.. Create a cache folder in your documents and direct your cache to that folder in viewer preferences Hope it helps Good Luck
  16. Install the Asian Language Pack from your windows CD and that should take care of all the special characters. In Microsoft Windows XP Click Start, and then click Control Panel. In Control Panel, click Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options. Click Add other languages. On the Languages tab, select the Install files for East Asian languages check box. Click Apply. Click OK. Restart your computer when prompted. If you are not prompted, click Start, click Shut Down, and then click Restart.
  17. Open your Inventory, and go to any Saved Outfit you may have in your there, and right click on the folder and chose "Replace Outfit" Usualy you can reload your avatar that way when edit appearance does not work. If you do not have a saved outfit then, go to My Outfits folder, and chose a default Avatar, and right click the folder, and chose "Replace Outfit" You will have to reload your original avie after that, but you should be good to go if rebake and clear cache both failed
  18. Welcome to Second Life Get used to it.. 90% abuse reports get unanswered and unattended to I wouldn't worrry about 1 little person. they are not the face of SL and wont be hurtful to your club. All it does is show the drama level of that particular person. if anything it will hurt them more in the long run
  19. I left one of my alts in a group of mine that charged the owners. He always had a 0 Balance. so after a couple of years he was at a -358 lindens lol All Group Liabilities
  20. Welcome to Swecond Life Coppurr. Hope you enjoy it very much
  21. On the script error window. On the tab of the specific script error. Should give the cooridiantes of the object in error and you should be able to teleort to it from the map.. When you see the script error indication icon light up in the top bar (if it still does) then click on it to bring up the script error window or go to Tools at the top of your screen and Show script error window If you own the region you can locate it in top scripts by object name
  22. Try going to Advanced and Clear group Cache.
  23. Answer would be no It is my understanding Traffic is calculated per parcel, And you can not join parcels from separate sims
  24. You need to complain to the owners of the groups and complain to them for not having a clear op-out option
