Honestly I think there should be a Safety forum set up for educational purposes to help residents stay safe Keep the important posts as stickies at the top, and residents can post their security issues they run into in world.. I think it would serve a good purpose for everyone. The more people that get educated, the more they tell their friends and makes it harder for these phishers to succeed and they will disappear because the time spent will not be worth the return.. these important posts get stuffed to the bottom and people are not aware of the dangers Will probably save LL some man hours dealing with this fraud Why people sometimes lose all sense of reason on the Internet completely eludes me. While there are some problems we could say are unique to Second Life, certain In World griefing things for instance, there are still a lot of things that should come down to plain old good sense. I don't say 'common sense,' because not all common sense is good. I've bumped my thread a few times already. I do also bump Void Singer's thread Official Resources occasionally. Yes very true. There is a large portion of people that are fairly new to the net and can be duped a lot easier than one who has been using it longer. The enticement of free lindens and free money gets em every time.... They forget the real world saying "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is" What kills me is people actually fall for those silly Nigeria Emails. Sometimes makes me want to smak those people in the back of the head and say " wtf were you thinking? " lol

  7. Yes that is probably the reason 8 Material max. Sl will ignore geometry over 8 meterials which will cause many materialed faces to go invisible My guess there is many duplicated materials . Clean up the meterials
  8. I had no problems using a simple cube either... Maybe a 2.65 upgrade is due hehe
  9. Hmmm odd. Not sure why it would be missing. You may try reinstalling blender 2.64 or update to 2.65 On a side note. You should look in to using the lattice modifier for more organic shapes. Pretty awesome tool IMO PS it is not necessary to use the shape keys or animations to get your shapes. This video just shows an accurate range of use
  10. LOLz Despite what anyone says they (lindens) still built a kick ass platform
  11. One thing I want to mention also if you do use the hot key in edit mode, don't move or edit anything on the model because that modifier settings on the left panel will go away after you do
  12. it should be in the DEFORM list of the modifiers third row from the left half way down The Icon is an IRON. Click the add modifiers drop down to add the modifer and should end up in your modifiers stack in 2.65 If you use the hot key in edit mode "W-C" then the settings should be on the left panel see image below
  13. This is one of the downsides of Pathfinding . Every time someone moves or rezzes an object is causes everyone on the region to have to rebake. It can be spammy if you are on a region with high build activity If you are the one building or moving things around. Wait untill you are finished before you rebake. And I suggest marking the popup window to never show again
  14. Thank you Valerie. I finally found a rez zone walking around aimlessly lol Good way is use search for REZ ZONE I have found out
  15. LOL thanks. I finally found a rez zone after an hour or so walking and teleporting lol. It should be easier fo the end user. But I was actually able to drive and do many region croossings but it was horrible lol. Then I crashed after floating out in no mans land because a region must have been down or sleeping lol. Lost my rider 2 times hahahaha
  16. I have been searching for a place that I am able to rez my car for the mainland roads. I want to drive my car on the roads and I am a premium member. How is this done? Is there a special place for rezzing, or does a premium member have to spend hours searching for information?
  17. Where the heck is one able to rez their car for the roads if they are premium?
  18. Yea. I have actually had one of my mesh do this. but then it went away after I rerezzed it . I Never could figure out why. It did it a couple of times
  19. Is there any alpha textures on the mesh or textures with alpha/channel properties on it? You can always use the Beta grid to test all your uploads without incurring costs on the main grid...
  20. The model has about 60,000 too many verticies for a dress lol. You will probably have less problems if you modeled it low poly.. If you have made it solid then there is a good chances your inside faces are overlapping the outside faces. Just a guess If you want your clothing to be gentle on the end user, then I suggeest reducing the poly count. Would love to see 30 users wearing this rig in one location and see how many is left standing lol
  21. This can tend to happen if wearing a rigged mesh attachment ( like clothing) other than the mesh avatar that had been rigged and uploaded with joints included.. If you are wearing any mesh clothing. Take one of them off at a time and walk around and see if it changes.. Note: Attaching a rigged mesh with joint positions will override your avatar skeleton joint positions, and may make your arms/legs/back/neck longer/shorter, eyes pop out, etc. Second Life Wiki Wearing rigged attachments
