  1. Had a look on IMDB and this screengrab is the only visual reference to the rooms I could see. Do you have a better image? (It's a shame there aren't any mod interior paint shells for Vics, because there are some tremendous wallpapers you would have been able to use.) Here are some colors that I sampled from the image, along with the RGB values you could use as starting points to get precisely the color(s) you want. Edit: Actually, Givoria does make a mod paint shell for the Verne - perhaps one for the Shelley is in the works.
  2. They tend to be long, but some Native American tribal names would maybe be appropriate for the new forested region: Susquehanna, Onondaga, Algonquin, etc.
  3. Well, you've seen its setting; I went with Hill House - not a nod to Shirley Jackson, but to its location. (Also considered Cairn Cottage, Parkside, The Birches. My other houses have been named for their color, CasaVerde, Casarosa.)
  4. With the Vics, the first regions were 'uncloaked' to those of us standing on the edge of an abruptly-truncated road in the trad regions in what is now South Haven, I think. We could see it for about 10-15 minutes (with Patch & Co. standing on the road facing us). There was no warning as to when they would actually be released, but I was refreshing robotically and wound up getting the first or second Vic released, at the very top of Abrus. There was a slight delay after Abrus was released, and then the regions began to be released one at a time, alphabetically (with a couple of exceptions that were held back). And then things got snarled up as lots of people abandoned houses in the hope of getting one they liked better. (I don't know if this is how the big release happened with the campers.)
  5. Heh. Could be worse, could be your RL neighborhood. How would you feel about living across the street from this? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Headington_Shark
  6. Looking for a Vic? I'm about to release one in Lincoln Green - pretty frontage and it's directly across the street from a willow-encircled pond and a small hill. I'll release it at 7:20pm SL time - in 10 minutes. Gone.
  7. Monday night mole-spotting: Sergal Mole and Mischievious Mole in one of the new, still-unnamed Vic regions.
  8. Not only botanical! Lots of bird illustrations, insects, seashells, fish, etc. It's a spectacular resource!
  9. 5:21pm SL time - trad on LP 5:22 - back to Meadowbrook for the first time in the last 30 minutes or so. 5:28 vic
  10. Camper and Vic on LP now 4:56pm SL time; now a STICKY trad and camper. 4:58 - trad vic camper 4:59 - trad and camper
  11. I will be releasing this much-loved parcel backing onto the river in Century at 8:55am SL time (in 13 minutes). Masses of hydrangeas, the river at the back (nothing de-rendered) and a small pond with lily pads just across the street. The house is slightly offset from the street. Edit: GONE WITHIN 10 SECONDS
  12. I'm a bit disappointed that the reveal doesn't give any indication of color change abilities for the walls; also there's no sense of how exterior colors/materials might be customized. That said, Overlook could work for my alt, so if I'm going to release her really nice riverside parcel (with a hydrangea-filled frontage) in Century, I'll do it tomorrow. I think the environmental sounds will be the determining factor for me - not much to be heard at Innside beyond my own windchimes, and only a bit of lapping water from the back porch at Century. (Edit: Actually, there is some birdsong in Century, just not as prominent as it is in the reveal region. What I’d *really* love to hear is some crickets!)
  13. Hmmm, I think my alt may well give up her riverside Vic for one of these. Hoping the internal stairs are easier to navigate than they are in the Trads and Vics.
  14. That trad parcel that I'd spotted in Blueberry Patch with the HUGE modular house (and caravan) behind it now belongs to someone else, so I guess the AR found its mark.
  15. I've always liked the smaller trads (now in an Adams - pictures in the 'Show off your home' thread; previously in an Alderley). Even though I've bought add-ons for both, I wound up not using them (the Alderley shutters excepted) and managed to create a 'complete' house with bedroom/study/bathroom, living room, and kitchen/dining room. I did get hooked by the Vic's color-change walls, so bought the Adams interior paint shell which has mostly worked out well, so I don't feel like I'm missing out. That said, my alt has a Vic Hardy which I've almost finished decorating, and to my surprise it doesn't feel too big. (It has a bedroom, study, and bathroom upstairs, and a kitchen/dining room, TV room, and living room downstairs. The kitchen has actually been the biggest challenge.)
  16. Thank you - I was going for 'autumn cozy'. (In RL I'm much more an ivory/cream/aqua/verdigris person, so it was fun to go with a completely different palette.)
  17. Have to admit that I'm surprised my neighbors both moved on - their parcels were 2nd and 3rd on my list of 'most desirable locations'; in fact, when Innside was released, the neighbor to the right originally snagged both her house, and mine with her alt. I'm eternally grateful that she contacted me (as I'd been stalking the house for days before the region was released) to let me know that she'd be releasing it an hour or so later.
  18. Before the craziness of the new theme consumes everyone's attention, thought I'd share what I've done with an 'old' new Linden home. As I've said elsewhere, I am ABSOLUTELY THRILLED with this parcel on the edge of several regions of parkland! Because of the surroundings, my landscaping has been limited to some (Victorian) hydrangeas out front, a bush on either side, some ivy, grasses and heather and stands of birch and beech trees in the back. Inside, the living room walls are still a work in progress - I haven't been able to tint the unpapered walls to the color I want (there's a problem with one wall flickering that I haven't been able to sort out yet), and I keep swapping different wallpapers anyway. I love that the refrigerator pose is called "no cheese"! With the pup rezzed, and having linked some objects, I still have 25 LI left.
  19. Hmmm, indeed. House Recycle Tools Globe Key... a neighborhood of dilapidated fixer-uppers?
