(nevermind, sorry, just used to reply in answers )

  9. assuming you are on phoenix - go to your asset blacklist (top menu > phoenix > asset blacklist), select the de-rendered person (they will be listed with their name and (av) after), hit "remove" then change group tag; it's the fastest, but tping out and back in or relog does also do the trick. along with setting draw distance to 0 then back up to normal. whatever's fastest for you. it will take a couple of seconds to have the avatar re-rendered. add info/comments to your post by using options > edit.
  10. you need to assign yourself to that role by highlighting your name on the member list (members & roles > members) and check the desired role. after that you can change your active group title to the new one as you would any other. add info/comments to your post by using options > edit.
  11. you can also find clothing templates on the marketplace, under apparel > clothing textures and building components > textures > clothing textures. add info/comments to your post by using options > edit.

  15. hi maretch \o :matte-motes-smile: i don't claim to be any technical genius, but i found this thread - http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Technical/When-I-log-in-my-internet-disconnects-How-can-I-fix-it/qaq-p/872059 - and it looks like the symptoms are very similar to what you are experiencing, so perhaps you could try the suggestions listed there? add info/comments to your post by using options > edit.

As I've gotten different responses from each method, I believe it was important to do so. if you have any useful information, I'd be very happy to hear it. Thanks again. linking duplicate threads is done all the time. if any it raises your odds finding a solution to your issue. so, you're welcome.

  19. if i type "charolotte" it suggests "Charolotte"; so same as you. but if i type "charolotte's" (as in "charolotte's suggestion" - in my post) it actually gives me (and it will be interesting to see if this gets bleeped, but...) "crapshooter's" (...!) :smileysurprised: today it does not anymore, so, once in a blue moon this forum software's spell check -does- learn(!). i am shocked and confused. feels like monday
  20. you have already registered. otherwise you wouldn't be able to post here at all :matte-motes-nerdy: although storm has the funniest answer, i would go with charolotte's suggestion to download a viewer to log in with. add info/comments to your post by using options > edit. (on a sidenote: :smileysurprised: @ the spell check's suggestion for charolotte's name )
  21. related - http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Getting-Started/I-try-to-manage-my-magic-boxs-but-they-bring-me-to-a-xstreetsl/qaq-p/960873 you already have a similar thread posted a few minutes ago and people are answering you there. add any new info or questions to your first thread instead of making a new one. better for us to help you with all info in one place instead of scattered around.
  22. "Setting object To Buy when touched can be very problematic for the end user" - not sure if you were referring to my post or not, but if you were i was answering the op's question regarding the gift boxes - i took that as the box the mp item will be delivered in. if an item is not boxed and set to buy when touched -and- no mod; i totally agree with you on that one.
  23. no reason to set it to "buy", seeing as the shopper already bought it through the marketplace. it won't hurt any, but there is no call for it. all they want when receiving their purchase (if they ever do ) is to open the box and get the stuff into their inventory. set it to open, that would be my bet. some merchants use a fancy unpacking script that copies the content to the shopper's inventory when touched, and some boxes are even set to delete themselves after unpacking. but when first starting up, best keep it simple. so set it to open. add info/comments to your post by using options > edit. eta: here's a couple of links that might be useful http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Selling-in-the-Marketplace/ta-p/700193#Section_.5.2 http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Selling-objects/ta-p/700143#How_to_open_and_sell_boxes the video in the last one does not show how to do it in v2. hmm, do you have a v2 vid tut about this, torley...? :matte-motes-smile:
