  2. ikr! luc - before you know it you will have wandered over to the dark side - derendering left and right!
  3. did you install it, did it not install, what viewer are we talking about and - what is the error? add info/comments to your post by using options > edit.
  4. yeah, if you bought it through the marketplace but hit decline when it was delivered it won't be in your inventory at all. inventory offers from scripted objects (the marketplace uses a "magic box" to deliver) simply become pixel dust. avatar to avatar inventory offers that are declined will, on the other hand, end up in your trash folder. so i'd go with what cinnamon suggested and contact the seller. if the item you purchased was transfer it is a possibility the merchant will say no to a redelivery, but it's worth trying. add info/comments to your post by using options > edit.
  5. derendering doesn't automatically mute - but they work beautifully together! :matte-motes-evil: mute gestures+mute+derender - it's like there were no gesturebators and i can actually enjoy a live show again =)
  6. the lab people have changed something without telling us again. first time i pulled up my transactions history after this change i actually gasped for air for a second. but it's all still there. if it's after midnight for me but not in sl (i am 9 hrs ahead) i have to pull up yesterday's date. if someone has seen this change announced somewhere i'd be very happy to get a link or something. add info/comments to your post by using options > edit.
  7. muffinunsane is right, it needs to be unpacked. just thought i'd throw in a link that might be of some use regarding opening boxes: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Opening-boxes/ta-p/700185 some merchants package their items in bags/purses/boxes that are meant to be worn and that triggers a holding animation and all you have to do is touch the item and it will be copied/moved to your inventory. you could try that before searching for a sandbox/a place to rez if you're not already on build enabled land. welcome to sl - it gets easier! :matte-motes-smile:

  9. what do you mean where i found out about it? don't everyone have voices inside their heads telling them stuff? if it helps the op at all - only time will tell =) but i have seen this here and there before. unless i totally misunderstood and am currently barking up the wrong tree

  11. if your voice is currently disabled, try enabling it and then see if you can uncheck the "only friends or groups can call or im". you can disable voice again after that if you wish to. add info/comments to your post by using options > edit.

  13. http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Shopping-in-the-Marketplace/ta-p/700195#Section_.2 this is what a marketplace delivery looks like on v2, or v2 based viewers. other viewers, based on 1.23, will have a drop down in the upper right corner. accept the deliveries by clicking "accept". they will go to your objects folder. in rare events one single items are not boxed, and will go to their respective folders, depending on what they are; a script will go in the script folder, a shape in the body parts folder, a picture/texture will go in the texture folder etc. if you are unsure of where they are located either sort inventory by date, use the recent tab or use search. boxed items need to be unpacked (copied to your inventory) before you can use them. some merchants do very fancy packaging and the boxes can be quite primmy. tips for unpacking boxes here: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Opening-boxes/ta-p/700185 i would try just wearing them first, though, some make the delivery boxes to be like a bag that can be worn and that triggers a holding animation (looks fancy) and all you have to do is touch the bag to have the stuff copied to your inventory. you don't have to be inworld in order to recieve the purchases, but it is recommended, inventory offers have a cap limit at 25, anything after that will most likely not reach your inventory, and then you will have to conatct each merchant to ask for redeliveries, and that can be frustrating and time consuming. my personal advise for safe shopping on the marketplace would be to be inworld, order one item at a time and accept one delivery before ordering another. (the cart feature has proven to be very buggy). i hope this was of some help! :matte-motes-smile: ask again if anything is unclear. add info/comments to your post by using options > edit.
  14. some items (and espcially items on the marketplace) are boxed, meaning they are packaged into boxes. and these boxes need to be opened and their content copied/moved to your inventory. have a read here http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Opening-boxes/ta-p/700185 and see if it clears some up for you. add info/comments to your post by using options > edit.
  15. assuming she didn't change your password in the same go (you're lucky and) you go change it immediately and stop sharing your password. after that go to your dashboard > contact information and change your e-mail address there. if you shared the password to your account with her you basically give her full access to your account, so if you did that voluntarily how is anything she does with your account without your consent? do. not. share. password. add info/comments to your post by using options > edit.
  16. How do I switch between Basic mode and Advanced mode? You can select Basic or Advanced mode from the login screen: If you're currently logged in, close the Second Life Viewer to log out. Open the Second Life Viewer. Select Basic or Advanced from the Mode dropdown. Click Quit. Open the Second Life Viewer again. The Mode now shows your selection. Log in with your username and password. http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Basic-mode-FAQ/ta-p/733541

  19. are they still located under "listed"? after deleting them in the magic box/or deleting the magic box itself they should appear under "unavailable". if they are not, try synch marketplace with magic boxes. if the magic boxes can't be found they should be unavailable and from there you should get an option to delete the listings. if that's not working i would set the magic boxes out again, synch again, delete the contents of the magic box then synch again. -then- you should have a delete option. http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Managing-your-Marketplace-store/ta-p/700191#Section_.2.4 add info/comments to your post by using options > edit.

  22. does that item look like a stack of boxes? if so that is a coalesced object and it has the name after the last object selected. http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Building-tips/ta-p/700041#Section_.3 i recommend picking up your items one by one instead of hitting object return. what happens when you try to pick another linden home? add info/comments to your post by using options > edit.
