  1. hm, that's not possible, because you don't own the house. it can't be returned either because it's linked to a root prim outside of your parcel (if i remember correctly). are you on phoenix by any chance and have accidentally derendered the house? if so, go to your top menu > phoenix > asset blacklist, find the house (i have no idea what it's called but you should recognize it) and remove the listing. then either relog, tp out and back in or change group tag and give it a few seconds to re rez. if this is not what happened, then i am curious what you did add info/comments to your post by using options > edit. eta: glad to hear it worked! in the odd event that you should see this... - could you mark the question as answered? it may help others searching for solutions to similar problems.

  3. when you installed the new viewer the graphics settings may have been set lower, so try upping your graphics settings - esp object and flexi prims sliders and see if that helps. btw, no mod hair...? eeep :smileyindifferent: i wouldn't touch no mod hair with a ten foot pole add info/comments to your post by using options > edit.

  5. thanks for the jira link. i shall send an unsuspecting alt in to test this. i love alts. they do anything you tell them to and you don't have to stick around afterwards to hear them complain about it
  6. what has been said already. and - when gifting, or paying, another resident the name can't be checked enough. best way to ensure it's the correct name would possibly be to copy+paste directly from their profile. (the username, not display name) but, just curious, did the person you ended up sending it to have a display name similar to your friend's (username)? add info/comments to your post by using options > edit.
  7. oh i wasn't aware of this. that was interesting. thanks luc! why would the no-mod (possibly) trigger this behaviour?
  8. - "hi, i am someone you don't know. can i take your money?" - "yes" (takes money) - "omg someone stole my money!" i am very sorry your money is lost - but come on, what did you think was gonna happen? it was all there for your to read - in the BIG YELLOW WARNING BOX. :smileyindifferent:
  9. try the salt hud: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/SALT-Free/334272 or the oversized prim rezzer: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Megaprim-Collection-in-Rezzer-HUD-05-1-125-25-5-75-10-15-20-25-30-40-50-60-80-100/379854 i have both and they both work. eta: glad to hear! now remember megaprims cannot be resized, or they will snap back to 10m. other than that they can be changed in just about any way and still keep their dimensions.

  11. at the moment there doesn't appear to be any. there are several jiras requesting flight assist to be included in phoenix. i haven't read through them all, but at the moment no debug setting or fancy phoenix prefs settings
  12. the platform is probably made with two megaprims. http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Mega_Prim search the marketplace and i am sure you will find a megaprim hud. (allows you to choose from preset sizes and have them sent to you) add info/comments to your post by using options > edit.
  13. if all you did was logging in somewhere you were not aware was private you are not going to be banned from sl or deleted in any way. he might have banned you from his land, as a land owner/renter/manager he can do that, but that's all it is. you probably don't want to go back there anyway =) if you find yourself in the same situation another time it's always faster to tp out - doors are pretty useless in sl =) mute (block) him and forget about it. add info/comments to your post by using options > edit.
  14. first time i created a group i was not aware of the two member minimum requirement and i received an e-mail informing me the group was about to be disbanded - i believe about 24 hrs after i created the group. it appears this is not the case anymore? you did not receive any warning at all? set up your group again, with a slight variation in the name, and make sure there are two members at all times. add info/comments to your post by using options > edit.
  15. if in doubt on how the grids is working - always check http://status.secondlifegrid.net but from the sound of your post it sounds more like a problem on your end. add info/comments to your post by using options > edit.
  16. it is (sometimes, like here) very unfortunate how the forum software handles links that contain a character combination that triggers a smiley... i see the link still works, but it's a little unpleasant. perhaps something for the next ctug.
  17. that is a lot of items being delivered so close to eachother. did you use the cart on the marketplace? did you choose to keep them one by one or is your prefs set to automatically accept? i didn't think it could do that and still keep the silent accept option, but i may be wrong. add info/comments to your post by using options > edit.
  18. sounds like a script went haywire and needs resetting. it's up to you if you want to contact the owner of the vendor and let them know about that. but i would at least try mute/block the object. add info/comments to your post by using options > edit.
  19. ouch. sadly peewee is correct. buuuut... should it by any chance be purchases made on xstreet/marketplace then it's possible to go way back to the very first purchase. go to marketplace > my marketplace > my account > order history. add info/comments to your post by using options > edit.

  21. what viewer are we talking about and what does the crash report say? it would also help if you include your system specs. add info to your post by using options > edit.
  22. i assume you are using the standard viewer - v2 - and are confusing "basic account" with the basic mode. what is basic mode? http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Basic-mode-FAQ/ta-p/733541 last paragraph there shows how to switch to advanced mode. and here's how to join groups in v2: some groups are closed enrollment, though, so you may need an invite in order to join. and some costs lindens, so make sure you have enough lindens if that is the case. add info/comments to your post by using options > edit.
  23. if you want to play with your avatar make sure it's an alt so your friends don't catch you :matte-motes-nerdy: welcome to second life! \o/ you will hopefully soon find out it's not a game :matte-motes-smile:
