  1. I'll say: NO. Viewers are designed to control one avatar at a time. I don't know of any that are designed to control more then one avatar. If you have two screens, you could put one viewer on each screen and switch back and forth. If you want to control robots, that is a different question. There are special viewers that are sold to control robots. I don't know if any control more then one robot at a time. I suspect there is.
  2. Open the Build Panel and click the Texture tab. you will see 3 setting that control how often the image repeats; Horizontial Scale, Vertical Scale, and Repeats per meter... Change these to get a single copy of the image. The defult cube is a 1x1x1m cube. So Repeats per meter should be set to1. If you make the cuve 4mx4m on a side then Repeatrs per meter should be 0.25 to get one copy of the image/texture.
  3. If you want to buy something... WAIT. The new Visual Outfits Browser was just released. That new feature will not be in any existing products. It will take some time for the creatives to build something using this new tech. I am with Rhonda. I organize my inventory by item name and using folders. Clothes Dresses Business 2014 2015 2016 Formal 2015 2016 Long Sexy 2016 item name Short Street **bleep** .... Jeans ... Latex ... etc I started using year folders. It makes it easier to clean out old stuff. I use an Outfit naming plan for outfits as there are no folders for outfits. !Dress Short - 2016 Slink Tan & Black 8.5k alpha The ! sorts outfits ahead of the library outfits. Dress Short sorts my dresses together, year order, body order [sLink, Classic, etc.], Color (less important with images), ACI (Avatar Complexity), and whether I have to use alpha's on the body to avoid poke through. You may not have realized Firestorm users can de-rez your mesh clothes... strip you. I can decide if I have to wear underclothes or go commando based on whether my body's private parts will show.
  4. There is a problem with the Linden homes stalling... they stop working. The general fix is to restart the region, something the Lindens have to do. Regions are often restarted on Tuesday or Wednesday as part of a server software update process. You can look in the viewer's HELP->ABOUT... to see if you are in a region running the main version or an RC version. The main version regions update on Tuesday, when they update. RC's on Wednesday. Both early in the morning Pacific Time USA. You'll know it is an RC version if you see Blue Steel, Tigre, or Magnium in the server version name. Grid Status has the announcement. The forum's Technology Section has a Deploys thread telling what is updating and what the updates are for each week. They don't update every week, but almost. You can save filing a ticket if you'll soon have a restart for an update. Filing a ticket gives them a bit of a push to fix the problem.
  5. Rolig is right. It is most likely something you are wearing, avatar attachment or HUD. To remove everything and revert to the basic avatar: Develop (Ctrl-Alt-Q)->Avatar->Character Tests->Test Male/Female. All this does is set your avatar to use the classic shape, skin, clothes, and everything. You can then put your avatar back together one item at a time.
  6. Rolig has probably nailed it. A good Internet connection is not the same as a good connection to the SL servers. Test it to find out if connection is your problem. http://blog.nalates.net/2011/10/26/troubleshoot-your-sl-connection/' Also, the region you are in or the region you are trying to get to may be having problems. Before doing anythng drastic wait a few hours and try again. The coming back as a particle cloud (aka: bake fail) often happens when you get dropped off rather than logging out. If that continues to be a problem you can clean up a bunch of problems by switching to the Test Avatar. Once the avataar renders you and switch back to your avatar.
  7. Rolig is right. If this continues file a support ticket. You may try adding another DNS service. http://blog.nalates.net/2011/10/26/troubleshoot-your-sl-connection/ This may just be a temporary problem on the Linden side of things. So, avoid ripping your computer appart. Give it a day.
  8. There isn't much to be done. Alwin was very brief... Wear your slink stuff. Wear the Slink applier. Some have buttons, most don't. You click the applier and it applies the texture. Slink items have layers. Feet have socks, hands have gloves, and there are nails and etc. So, you may have to wear the hands or feet HUD and set the appropriate layers on or off.
  9. There are some great imaginations here... but, the market data shows everyone is pretty much misunderstanding what is happening. https://secondlife.com/my/lindex/market.php? The table lower on the page shows the average quantity of L$ traded and the max quantity. The max is about 1.3 mil. So, no one is trading 'millions' on any given day. http://blog.nalates.net/2016/07/29/misunderstanding-the-second-life-lindex/ This is the way a free market works. Things change. Figure it out. Money laundering? No organization is going to launder money at US$20 a pop... that would require 50,000 transaction to clear US$1 million. Not even at US$5,000 (L$1.3 mil) a pop is it going to work. Do some math. Drug dealers and terrorists are working in billions of US$... US$1 bil = L$260 bil... There isn't that kind of oney moving through the Lindex.
  10. Run through the steps in http://blog.nalates.net/2011/10/26/troubleshoot-your-sl-connection/ There is a section on upgrading your DNS service.
  11. The answers given are both accurate. You can measure your script load. In the marketplace are free Script Weight tools. You'll also find some places that give you a script weight. One is http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Denby/221/41/33. Walk across the roof to the NW. You'll see yur weight in the floating text. It reads number of scripts, memory used, and time used. Script weight has a huge impact on yuor ability to teleport successfully and slams the destination region and double slams the departing region. In general 3MB or less is the limit. Some regions will kick you if you go over 3MB. Fortunately the impact only lasts a few seconds. But, in a crowded region it becomes a significant problem.
  12. What is your native language? I'm guessing German/Deutsch You opened the 3Dconnexion VIEWER/Zuschauer not PROPERTIES/Eigenschaften. Win 10 should be giving you a list. It is hard to get the right items because of the Language difference on our machines.
  13. With Singularity open, start 3Dconnexion Properties. Type 3Dconn in the start/Cortana field and you'll see the app. Then program a button and save, close. It should make a file in: C:\Users\[Win_login_ID]\AppData\Roaming\3Dconnexion\3DxWare\Cfg
  14. The problem is your viewer isn't recognizing the right device. http://blog.nalates.net/singjoy/ Notice the difference in the Joystick device names. Did your SN software create the config file for Singularity? -- If not open your SN properties and program a button. I make the right button Alt-Shift-F to put me in fly mode.
  15. When you look at the Joystick config page there is a Joystick monitor. The numbers should be changing. If they are not, close the viewer, restart the computer, open the viewer and see if they are talking. The monitor should show some numeric changes. Does the SN light up? It should if the drivers are installed. But, it is not necessary.
  16. The available viewers for othre devices are listed here: Third Party Viewer Directory. There is one for iPhone. There is also a service that streams SL to your phone or other device, Bright Canopy.
  17. When you go into Preferences to enable the SN what does the panel show you are enabling? In Joystick Configuration the first line is a check box that lists the device to be enabled. The name listed there gives us a clue. Have you tried to enable the SN with the Linden or Firestorm viewer? ----EDIT---- I installed Singularity. SN worked without my even having to enable it. Alt-Shift-F puts me in Flycam mode. The settings are a bit sensitive but they work OK.
  18. As has been pointed out, others have a say in whether they render you or not. Those with older or weaker computers set this value low and refuse to render your high ACI avatar for performance reasons. Your viewer tells you about that. What hasn't been mentioned is that when you set your ACI limit to UNLIMITED is you leave yourself open to video griefing objects. Before ACI was configured as it is now, there was a built in limit we could change in Debug Settings. The value was like 500k. It was added to stop griefers crashing viewers. That setting is now a part of the ACI feature. So, when you turn off the limit you open up that old exploit.
  19. This problem is almost always due to a connection issue. While you may have a good Internet connection that does NOT mean you have a good connection to the SL servers. Test your connection to the SL servers. See: http://blog.nalates.net/2011/10/26/troubleshoot-your-sl-connection/ If your gateway/router is old it may be the problem. SL requires a number of connections and that can overload the gateway/router. Thus the recommendation to power cycle the gateway/router/modem.
  20. File a support ticket. Explain you are trying for the first time to enter ADITI (preview grid). Give the details of what happens. There is a bug that gets first time users of the ADITI grid. Support can fix it. There is nothing we as users can do. Its NOT you. Its the bug...
  21. Use HELP->ABOUT... to collect information about your computer. Paste that info in with any technical question. The first step in yur process is to figure out why you are lagging, choppy. In your viewer press Ctrl-Shift-1 to open the Viewer Stats panel. Look for PING. This is a measure of how long it takes for a key stroke or mouse click to reach the SL servers and their feedback from the key or click to reach you. Around 250ms you start to notice a bit of lag. At 1,000ms and greater you have pronounced chop. PING in the viewer is not a pure network meteric. Server and viewer lag gets incorporated into the value. If the server is contributing to the problem you will see Time Dilation droping below 1.0, but it isn't much of a problem until its <0.8. The is also server FPS (Frames per Second). The max is 44FPS. Below 40 you can notice some lag. No server free time is also an indcator of an overloaded server. If all those values are good, it becomes more likely it is your computer. If you see low viewer FPS and long PING times you likely have a computer that cannot carry the load. The Firestorm Wiki page Rolig referred you to provides the list of things you can do to reduce the load. Avoid having other programs open while running SL. On my Quad Core2 machine having Chrome or Firefox open kills my FPS in the viewer. Also, I use Memory History Tool (free) to see what is using memory in my machines. With 4GB it is not hard for the viewer to consume all the avilable memory. At that point the viewer can get very chopy and suffer mini-freezes. Having 8GB of RAM allows way better performance. Not necessarily more FPS but less chop. I could go on but, it would be easier if we knew more about your computer.
  22. It will. How well is debatable. The Radeon HD 8330 Graphics is going to have its challenges with SL. The SL viewers are based on OpenGL. The AMD/ATI manufacturer does not provide good support for OpenGL. While it is debatable whether Nvidia is the 'better' graphics card they do provide good support for OpenGL. The AMD A4-5000 1.5 GHz CPU is going to be a serious problem. My Quad Core 2.4ghz was slow, 5-25 FPS. Windows 8 or 10 with 4GB of RAM is limited. It will work but, you will be crashing. 8GB will run SL way better on Win 8 or 10 and far fewer crashes. I recommend Win 10. If you want a better cheap computer, look through the machines on eBay. But, you do have to know what you are looking for. There are scams on Amazon, eBay, and even Dell sells new computers with OLD tech. They have new computers that use Core2 CPU;s, which are something like seven generations behind the latest CPU's. I wish you luck.
  23. When you ask a tech question include information about your computer. Use HELP->ABOUT... to collect the info and then paste it in with your question. Having a good Internet connection does NOT mean you have a good connection to the SL servers. Test it. See: http://blog.nalates.net/2011/10/26/troubleshoot-your-sl-connection/ You can turn your firewall off for a ffew minutes to determine if it is your firewall that is the problem. Alwin is right-on with the basic troubleshooting step, try to log into a different region. Use the Destination Guide on the web to pick a place. Last Location or Home as a login place can be a problem if that region is down or has dropped of the grid.
  24. Two things... Alwin is mostly right but omits that you can transfer dollar balances from a Linden account to a PayPal account, cash out. But, you have to initiat the transfer and there is a cost. You don't tell us what the transaction was. We are assuming it was a L$ purchase. If not, these answered do not apply. L$ purchases are Instant and Limit Order buys. Limit orders take time, minutes to hours to days and weeks. It depends on what offer you made.
  25. I cannot find a place named Brazil River. There is the eight region Amazon River in Baia Santa Rosa (160, 236, 34). Não consigo encontrar um lugar chamado Brasil River. Não é a oitava região do rio Amazonas em Baia Santa Rosa (160, 236, 34). If you have found a place on the Brazil River, give me (in-world) a landmark so I can visit it. May be I can figure out what is happening. Se você encontrou um lugar no rio Brasil, me (no-mundo) dão um marco para que eu possa visitá-lo. Pode ser que eu possa descobrir o que está acontecendo.
