Some random daily thoughts (a.k.a - good reasons why no one should wonder what i am thinking) : Your stomach thinks all potatoes are mashed. What if your internal organs got itchy?

I saw an ad on a TV Guide website. It said something about chatting with people from all over the world. I clicked it.

Perhaps disagreeable people in SL or on the SL forums just want to feel special, relevant, and come across as edgy. They want to be noticed and are no good at getting that attention in a productive way. It's like hearing children squeal, "Look at me! Look at me! Can you see how cool I am, yet? Im skating back and forth on the line between acceptable and unacceptable. Look at me dammit! Im doing everything I can to get a reaction." People like to feel like they are the keepers of some special knowledge that only they are smart enough to recognize and important enough to know. They are the first ones to complain about hive minds and sheeple. So, disagreeable people are special and need a lot of attention. Also, some people just want to kill the forums and enjoy watching other people hurt. It's fun and entertaining.

I think the truly negative spewers-of-vitriol are a very small number. They are just loud in their opinions and thrive on the discord they start. The forums are strictly for their own entertainment at the expense others. They seem to be here to "win" or "put others in their place," sometimes by their own admission. It appears to me that none of them are here to discuss, learn, or pass on information or knowledge. Anyway, the numbers are small. There are many more kind, thoughtful, and friendly folks. They just aren't as memorable as the person who just called you names, questioned your post, intent, or tried to shut down any discussion. Maybe you could just spend a second noticing each kind post to see that they far outnumber the negative ones.

Thunes to acquire payments platform Tilia LLC
Cinnamon Mistwood replied to AzureWaves's topic in General Discussion Forum
Let me just save this post to quote out of context as often as possible for the next several years: "Zal wants to charge up to $L5000 per post in the forums. She wants to kill the forums. Not just kill them, but take a baseball bat to it's knees, an ax to its head, encase it in cement and drop it in the middle of the ocean! This is the quality of posters we have here. This is her dream for the forums!!!!!!" Sounds legit? Am I joking? -
Linden Home Log Mountaineer proposal for a new option
Cinnamon Mistwood replied to Radioactive Rosca's topic in Linden Homes
And the new options should have big windows in the back for people who want to look at the backyard instead of the road or 180° rotation- 16 replies

For a second there, I thought you were riding side-saddle and I had questions, but my brain eventually kicked in and I saw the shadow.

You could ask... To the topic, though: seeing some body language would help if it was the actual body language of the person talking and not a canned animation -
A Lab Gab ponderance ...
Cinnamon Mistwood replied to Coffee Pancake's topic in General Discussion Forum
Noooooo, that would be absolute proof that I trip over my own feet regularly. I tell people I am clumsy in real life, but this would prove it beyond a doubt. I guess I could just stand in the back of a club and only clap my hands. I couldn't actually hurt myself doing that, right? Right? For a seated interview, some hand motions might be nice. -
For Those Who Wondered...
Cinnamon Mistwood replied to PheebyKatz's topic in General Discussion Forum
I noticed you were gone, but I didn't know why. Several times while reading a forum thread I hoped you would chime in with one of those kind and thoughtful posts I've seen you make. I hope things stabilize for you so you can get back to the SL you enjoy. Also, did you just apologize for your health issues? Stop that.- 21 replies

Peeve: I just watched a random movie and had no idea what I was supposed to get from it. Symbolism and allegory generally make little sense to me. I know it's happening, but the meaning of it never comes to me. That was this movie. I'm peeved I had to go look up a couple people's explanations to understand what I just watched... and the last 15 minutes. Dang. I don't think I need to see it a second time. Yeah. It was traumatizing.

I just look at the sections I'm interested in to see if there is anything new I want to read. I only see land sales if I go to that section. Well, then there are tools available now to customize your experience in the forums. It might be time to revisit those settings to make those ads disappear. I imagine its kind of a mess to see every single new post in the entire forum every day.
-
Where are you seeing all these land ads. I have to go to the Land Forum, then the Regions for Sale, then Mainland for Sale to see them. Do you open the forums on a different setting than I do? If so, maybe you can turn off seeing ALL new posts or something and just look at the sections you care about?

A Lab Gab ponderance ...
Cinnamon Mistwood replied to Coffee Pancake's topic in General Discussion Forum
I think only about 5 people actually watched the entire half hour podcast. They all posted here about cats, animations, and fingers. So, should each Lab Gab be a half hour machinima production serving as an advertisement? They could choose to focus on answering questions that residents have and discussing their worries over fees and longevity of the platform.
