  1. Hello to all. Just i downloaded the new Versions of V2 2.6.8.230359. The annoying problem with the black icons in instant messages was fixed and all seem to work perfectly now. I am very happy about that!
  2. Hello Sonja. I don't think that you will have difficulties to find a job a Pole Dancer. Very often people here ask for new staff. About the video, it is great!. Very good job for your avatar!
  3. Hello Nike and welcome back in SL and in the Community. For any help don't hesitate to ask. Have fun and enjoy your SL.
  4. Hello Rock. If i understood right, this message means obviously that you are not "Age Verified". Being an "Account Verified" with "Payment info on File" you have access in adult regions except of the estate owner restricts the access only to residents who are verified with Age Verification. So to fix this problem you need to get Age Verification: https://secondlife.com/my/account/verification.php?
  5. Hello abeautifulday. As already mentioned everything depends of what you want and you have in your mind. I believe that with 936 prims you can live very comfortable, with a very big house and lots of plants arround. With 468 prims you will live in a smaller house and you will have smaller space generally. Also depends of how much you are able to spend per week or per month. If you think that you can pay the tier for a land with 936 prims, get it and enjoy it! I use to say arround to my friends who desire to get a new land that the important isn't to buy a land, but to keep it (to be able to keep it economically). Also how much time are you gonna spend in your land? I explain. I know many people who rent big places and they never be there. They hang at the clubs in world all day and night. Or they work many hours, so no time for their own place. So, if you want a place just for some private moments in your SL, no reason to get the big land. Get the small one. I suggest you at first to decide about your house and other stuff you want to put in your land, to calculate how many prims you need and after it is easier to select which parcel is most suitable for you and cover your necessities. One last thing. If you want my opinion i suggest you to rent a parcel in a homestad sim and no in a full sim. If we accept that you will get a land with 936 prims you get 16,384sq m2 (1/4 of homestad), when in a full sim you get only 4,096 sq m2 (1/16 of it). Homestads for the same prims are a little more expensive but i think it is worth.
  6. Hello Dana. 7 horses yes it is very possible to cause lag. It called Scripted Objects & Collisions Lag. Too many scripted objects causing collisions on a region and all avatars there feel the same lag because this server (server where region hosted) has to work too hard and cannot keep up with the demands of the avatars currently in it. As already mentioned, in many places arround they are not allowed.
  7. Very nice post Darren. About the 2 fems that is what i wondered when i looked for first time the pic, before read your question lol :smileywink:
  8. Hello jynx and welcome back. The following link will help you about: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Enhanced-Avatar-Physics/ta-p/798525 Have fun.
  9. Your new purchases are usually at the second tab of your inventory called "Recent", except if meantime you reloged. Then you find them in the folder called "Objects" in your main inventory. If you get messages being in world for your purchases, you always must to click "Keep". When you find them in your inventory, they are usually orange boxes and you need to unpack them. So you must to go in a region where you have the right for rezz and better to Sandboxes arround. Fermi Sandbox for example is a place which recommended. There you drag the box to the groud --> right click on it --> Copy to inventory Repeat the same with all your purchases. After that you are ready to use them.
  10. You said that you cleared your cache. The question is, did you chear it correctly? (XP) - C: \ Documents and Settings \ (USER NAME) - Application Data \ SecondLife and C: \ Documents and Settings \ (USER NAME)\ Local Settings \ Application Data \ Second Life (Vista) and (Win 7) - C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ AppData \ Roaming \ SecondLife and C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ ApplData \ Local \ Secondlife Delete everything in those folders and restart first your computer and after the program. Usually the folder Appdata is a hidden folder. (Windows Tools \ Folder Options \ View & enable Show Hidden Files/Folders) If you use different users (as you said) you must do it for all of them following the same path in your drive disk. For example: C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ ApplData \ Local \ PhoenixViewer If you choose the uninstallation it is not enough again to uninstall only the one viewer. You must to unistall all of them, restart your computer and install again. After that you must to log in a protected land without lag like Smith . There you must to open her inventory, write something in search there and wait fetching ALL your items till the last one and after to try to change outfit choosing one with just the necessary stuff (skin, shape, hair, eyes, pants and shirt) without any attachments. I hope that to fix your problem. Good luck.
  11. Hello Elorah. Do you use Viewer 2?
  12. Hello Laurie. Are you a premium member? If yes, is suggested to use the Live Chat. If not, i fear that your tries to verify your age manually are vain insomuch according LL, you can use it "if you are a "premium or Concierge customer and you experience difficulty verifying your identity on the Second Life website". On the other side, you can have access in adult regions if you become "Account Verified", having "Payment Info on File". This way you have access in all of adult regions except of the estate owner restricts access to residens who are verified with Age Verification. If that solution is impossible for you, you continue your Second Life having access only in General and Moderate regions which constitute this moment the 89.83% of sims in SL.
  13. I will agree with Vallerie, it is a very interesting topic and i wait for the replies by the guys. hehe *grins*

  15. Hallo Dshinn.
  16. Hello MarieAnn. Open your Dashboard --> Shopping --> Marketplace --> My Marketplace --> My account --> Order History --> If you see that your last purchases delivered means that the merchant(s) got payed --> Take a copy of your last purchases --> Open your inventory --> create a New Notecard --> Paste there --> send the notecard to the merchant(s) describing what was happened and asking politely for redelivery. Good luck.
  17. Yes is it odd Conifer. Maybe they are bots programmed to stay there, who knows? I knew that they live very high up in the air usually but seems, they started to live on ground too.
  18. Hello Xie. According LL an account may have been compromised if: 1)You can't access your account. 2)You suddenly notice a reduced available balance on the payment source you have on file. It 's suggested to contact LL immidiately. Here's what to do: Go to the Second LIfe Help page and log in if you can. If you can't access your account, use the Forgot your login information? link on the right to recover your username and reset your password. Then log in. On the Second LIfe Help page page, click the Contact Support link on the right. On the next page, click Submit a a Support Case form. Under What type of problem are you having?, select Account Issue. A second dropdown appears. Under Account Issue, select I believe my account has been compromised. Fill in the rest of the fields as directed. Click Submit. Check your email for your case number. 21. Hello Shewolf. Nothing by LL yet official. The only you can do is to google for it using the words "Second Life Kinect". I found some pages about that and 1-2 videos. I am not gonna make any comment about them. Conclusions are yours.
  22. Hello konaraven. For me sounds like you have lag. You can't see floors and walls, means some textures don't load for you or have a big delay to load while you see everything else, and also it happens in most of regions, no in every region. Set by your preferences the graphic quality to medium and maybe to low and the draw distance lower and see it that helps. The higher quality, performance and draw distance, the more information your computer will receive from the servers hosting the regions (sims) around you, so the longer the time your computer will need in order to upload everything you see around.
  23. Hello Dolphin. I will add just few things to Peppy's great answer. My feeling too is that you have lag. At first check if you suffer from it because you have your quality, performance and distance to high. By your preferences set your graphics and distance to low and check out if the program runs better for you. Your settings depend of many things like your graphical card, memory and internet connection. You can spend some time with these options, having visible the statistics bar (in viewer 2, Menu Advanced --> Performance Tools). Your FPS there must to be at least 15. The Time Dilation must to be as closer as possible to 1. In sims full of people is ok to be arround 0.96. The Sim FPS and Physics FPS must to be always as closer as possible to 45, sure always over 40, even the sim is full of people. If you don't see these numbers, sure you suffer by lag.
  24. Hello and welcome to Second Life. At first you must to log in Advanced Mode of Viewer to be albe to teleport in more places. If you are in Basic Mode you can teleport to a variety of preset destinations. You can visit many places using the Destination Guide . For the moment i don't suggest to buy lindens. Spend some days to learn better Second Life. It is no just a game. It is a whole virtual 3D world where you will live a Second Life. After sure you can buy lindens if you consider that is necessary or to start to work and earn lindens. For everything else you need, feel free to ask. Have fun!
