  2. Hello Jake. Your log in screen stops in "Log in.........." for long time? Sounds like a problem with your internet connection. Power down your modem / router for at least 2 mins and restart your computer also. Power on your router and try to log in a protected land without lag like Smith, Lime or Aqua.
  3. Hello Melshell. If i understood right you got an error when you tried to buy lindens? If yes, and generally for billing issues, depending your country you can call the following numbers: Toll-Free (US/Canada) 800.294.1067 Long-Distance 703.286.6277 Our Billing team is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Local Toll-Free numbers * France: 0805.101.490 * Germany: 0800.664.5510 * Japan: 0066.33.132.830 * Portugal: 800.814.450 * Spain: 800.300.560 * UK: 0800.048.4646 * Support is in English Only If none of those numbers are in your Country you can email to: support@payments.secondlife.com EDIT: I didin't say that it just a billing issue. But your billing issue is interdependent with the fact that you haven't access in adult regions. When you solve your billing issue (this is the important) you will be able to change your maturity ratings.
  4. Hello Luzie. Check the following link (the paragraph "The Bridge"). I think it explains very well what you ask for: http://blog.nalates.net/2011/04/21/phoenix-viewer-release-candidate-1-5-2-1050/
  5. Hello Tondy. ENABLE GROWL NOTIFICATIONS = lets you use Growl to see who IMs you when Phoenix Viewer is minimized (google Growl, also available for windows)
  6. Hello! Your problem has connection with an or more invalid characters in a group tag. Look this jira: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-6608 Do you remember which group tag you wear? If yes and you have an alt, log in with your alt and or change the tag or kick out your main account of the group. After that try to log in again with your main account in a protected land like Smith, Lime of Aqua. If you haven't an alt, but you have a premium member it is highly recommended to use the Live Chat. If you are not a premium member i can't suggest you to submit a ticket. As other older users suggested in past, maybe a good idea is to upgrade to Premium just for 1 month. This way you can use immidiately the Live Chat and ask for assistance. Good luck.
  7. Hello. Maybe you are in basic mode with viewer 2. Relog in Advanced Mode. You can change it in your log in screen. In Basic Mode you can teleport to a variety of preset destinations in Second Life.
  8. Jo Yardley wrote: When you visit a sim, you visit someone elses home, in a way you're not just walking into their house but into their brain, their dream, their fantasy. Everything you see, they build, they paid for, they work hard for to maintain. So behave like a guest and follow their rules or accept them ejecting you if you don'. BUT, civilised people should always be polite, no excuse for rudeness. So whoever does the ejecting, better do it in a nice way. Also, I was thinking, perhaps you were pushing people around because of the size of your avatar or by bumping into them, so not verbally. Is it a reply for my post or you just confused wanting to reply to Anthony?
  9. Hello Anthony. Really no reason to feel bad or sad after an ejection or ban from a private region. It is possible to happen in everyone. Don't look for explanations, just forget it and continue your Second Life as if nothing happened.
  10. Hello Gabo. At first it is no necessary to work in SL. Already mentioned some unskilled and skilled jobs. What you can do? What you like to do? After that, if you decide that you want to work choose a job with which you have fun. Don't make a job just to earn some lindens. You can read the topics in this category, usually people are looking for new staff. Also often in world when you visit places there are application boxes. If you are interested you click them, you get an application form and you following the instuctions included. Also contact your friends who already work and ask to help you more. Maybe it is possible to work with them. Good luck.
  11. Hello Boo. If you joined SL being under 18 and you turned 18 recently, the system can't recognized you as an adult. In that occasion it is suggested to submit a ticket. https://support.secondlife.com/create-case/
  12. Hello Diznee. We can't say something confidently if we don't know your computer's specs and your internet connection. You can edit your post if you wish (Options --> Edit) to add further infos.
  13. Hello Casual. In addition to Luc's answer i want to say that is good to avoid to accept everything from people you don't know and you don't trust. There are so many scripts which can create a problem to your avatar especially if you are a new user and you don't know how to fix it.
  14. I have a query Blazer. When you post here, you read after what we write or you come back just to start a new thread asking exactly for the same thing many times?
  15. Hello WhiteBoi. Try to detach everything of your avatar any attachment you have and see if that helps. I don't know if it was by your shorts but it was by something you had added in your avatar. Nevermind for the shorts. You will find other ones :smileyvery-happy:
  16. Hello Blaze. Page down or C button to crouch. In Phoenix Viewer the striped arrow pointing down enables the avatar to crouch down.
  17. Hello Lali. At first it is not allowed here to publicize private conversations, names of other residents, mails and everything else similar. If you consider that someone violated the Second Life Terms of Service (ToS) or the Community Standards (CS), you can report abuse.
  18. Hello redrach. Usually your recent purchases are in the 2nd tab of your inventory called "Recent" till your log out. When you log in again, you can find them usually in the folder called "Objects" in your main inventory. If you can't find your new stuff there but you remember the name of the product or at least a part of it, you use the search in your inventory to find it. Altenatively you can check if your purchases delivered: Open your Dashboard --> Shopping --> Marketplace --> My Marketplace --> My account --> Order History --> If you see that your last purchases delivered means that the merchant(s) got payed. Then normally you might to find them in your inventory. If you can't find them as i described, --> Take a copy of your last purchases --> Open your inventory --> create a New Notecard --> Paste there --> send the notecard to the merchant(s) describing what was happened and asking politely for redelivery.
  19. Hello edgard. For the acceptable payment methods check the follow link: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Local_Payments_FAQ
  20. Hello Alicia. Did you check out the scripts in your land? Usually the script's size of dance balls is big enough. You can do in both Viewer 2 and Phoenix. See if that helps. Also i don't know if you have checked out the suggestions Here
  21. Hello Lexi. If none of those numbers are in your Country you can email to: support@payments.secondlife.com
  22. Hello Erichic. If you try to change your maturity ratings and you can't, means that you didin't get Age Verification, although you tried for that. You can check the following link to see how Age Verification works: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Age-verification/ta-p/700021#How_does_it_work? Are you a premium member? If yes, and you have problems with age verification, is suggested to use the Live Chat. If not, it is not suggested to verify your age manually insomuch according LL, you can use it "if you are a "premium or Concierge customer and you experience difficulty verifying your identity on the Second Life website". On the other side, you can have access in adult regions if you become "Account Verified", having "Payment Info on File". This way you have access in all of adult regions except of the estate owner restricts access to residens who are verified with Age Verification. The last solution although it is not suggested and i can't quarantee that you will get a reply is to send a mail to support@secondlife.com
