  1. I have put LOADS of my own money into SL since 2010, and feel no need to install a 0 seconds orb that flings innocent travelers all the way home. I stand by my opinion that that behavior is rude.
  2. That's another reason for me to stay put in the house I currently have. My sister Kitty lives next door. I might get bored elsewhere without her standing on the front porch holding the door bell button down with her finger!
  3. I'm happy with what I have, but will keep an eye on developments since we've been told other styles will roll out in the future. I'm not in any rush to change but you never know!
  4. I pressed the refresh button for maybe two minutes today before snagging the houseboat. YMMV, though.
  5. Instead of complaining, people might want to consider devoting that time to refreshing the "get your Linden home" page. I saw a houseboat on there this morning. Alas, it is no longer there.
  6. SO RUDE. I hope their naked pixel bottom is really worth that kind of overly aggressive "security", but somehow I doubt it.
  7. I remember seeing that sign at the Home and Garden event, because I laughed at the car crashed into the "drive carefully" sign. That's such a "mole" kind of joke.
  8. On the contrary, there has been loads of complaining in the forums. Often in threads where housing availability is not even the topic.
  9. We had a lot of fun taking off from the landing strip tonight in our helicopter and then flying around most of the continent. I'm very happy with all the new features we are getting almost daily. Busy moles!
  10. It's only Tuesday, I don't really think they are running all that late... 🙄
  11. File a support ticket so someone can come reset the box for you.
  12. Totally agree with this, and I imagine there is a rule somewhere addressing advertising in forum posts. ETA: Yep, there is. "Spamming, Solicitation and Advertising: Spamming is not allowed. This includes aggressive self-promotion. No advertising or promotion of specific Second Life merchants, Marketplace listings, products, or services, unless the forum area is specifically for the buying or selling of Second Life products or services, for example, a “for sale” or “wanted” forum. Do not reference other websites offering any product or service."
  13. I second that! One big "post your gripes here" thread to lump them all together would be good.
  14. As many duplicate threads as we have about "why didn't I get a home?", I sure wouldn't worry about starting another photo thread.
  15. You will get a house, without need to be on SL "every second". I work full time, am on only in evenings, and got one. Patience.
  16. L$300/week times 52 weeks = L$15,600/year = $63.64 USD at the moment. That is almost 90% of the annual payment, refunded back to you by way of L$. A bit more than "nothing", really.
  17. Trying out new rez zones, didn't take long for someone to run OVER us with their humongous boat.
  18. From your Dashboard, go to Help and then Support. This link might work: https://lindenlab.freshdesk.com/support/tickets/new
  19. I just picked a spot on the map and TP'd to it, and landed right in front of your home! It's lovely!
  20. Four meters turned out to be higher than I thought when I actually got out a prim and made it that size to see. I was walking in my neighborhood yesterday and someone has built what seemed to me to be a fortress wall (plywood texture, alas) around their parcel. It looked way too tall and honestly pretty unsightly, so I thought surely it was over the 4 meter limit. It was not! I peeked over the wall and dunno what they are trying to hide in there. It wasn't that special. lol
  21. Definitely some rez zones, since we can't hop out of a vehicle to visit a community park without our cars being tossed back into our inventories. Also, some animations or at least floating tubes in the community pools would be nice. It got boring pretty fast just sitting there looking at the empty pool!
  22. Pretty much, till the security orb boots them back out! lol
  23. Yes, the parcel privacy setting does work in the new homes. I think what a few are complaining about is the very idea that someone MIGHT wander onto their parcel (where the privacy setting then won't block their view) and MIGHT catch a glimpse of someone changing clothes and MIGHT, in the brief time before the orb expels them, MIGHT snap a photo and then... well I'm not sure. Sell the photo to a pixel porn site? The fact is, as has already been pointed out, people get seen naked every time they TP somewhere. Unless you have forgone mesh and are using an ancient avatar with system clothes, it's really not realistic to think that you can have total control over who peeks at your pixels. I suppose you could wear applier undies at all times. I dunno, I don't care who sees my avatar. I work hard to look this good. lol
