  1. Or maybe a mole who pops his head out of the ground now and then? (Not just on Groundhog Day, either!)
  2. Noooo! I've got you on the list to bring the popcorn!
  3. Dude, you're killing me here. LOL
  4. How does having to wait a couple of weeks to get a pixel home equate to teen suicide? Sheesh.
  5. Yeah, but really, "ostracized by society" is a bit much.
  6. True. I just thought they might also like to know about the other group, especially since it's open.
  7. There are at least two Bellesseria groups. Bellisseria Citizens is a good group that is open as far as I know. http://world.secondlife.com/group/f7b0c9d9-ab6d-30d1-e37f-52b2bb132074?lang=en-US
  8. Right now, LL is probably wishing they'd just left well enough alone, and not even tried to give us anything new and nice.
  9. I know, right? I think we are going to need the wine trolley again!
  10. OK, you still have not explained why exactly it is "illegitimate" or who is being harmed by the extra financial support some of us give to SL. It sounds like you just plain don't like it but can't articulate why that is. No worries, I have no intention of changing my evil ways.
  11. But what is the problem, exactly, with someone having more than one premium account? How is it doing anything other than helping all of SL by providing additional financial support for the business? Who exactly is being harmed by it?
  12. I suppose, though I don't see the problem with the way they have it set up now.
  13. There are many reasons one might want more than one premium account. In my case, I use the land allowance (and stipend) to do things on Mainland, like house the Bay City History Pavilion which is there for the public's use. I can't imagine why it would be a smart idea to tell someone they cannot support SL with additional memberships if the person is inclined to do so for whatever reason. https://secondlife.com/destination/bay-city-history-pavilion
  14. Zoya explained it perfectly. You want to watch for Traditional or Houseboat. They will show up before the older homes, so if you see older homes first, refresh and keep refreshing! As soon as you see a new home pop up, type in a nonsense name as fast as you can (it needs to have five letters; I just typed "aaaaa" really quickly) then accept the terms, and with any luck, you grabbed it before someone else did. For now, lucking into an abandoned home is the only way to get a new one until the next batch is released.
  15. You're welcome! One more thing (I'll probably think of 20 others later lol). If you don't care for the location of the parcel you are assigned, you can abandon and try again up to five times per day. Once you like the land you are on, then you can pick the style house you like, so it's really pretty customizable (within limits of course).
  16. Yavanna Llanfair is the owner of the pods, and I read somewhere in here that she is bringing pods to Bellisseria. I hope it's true!
  17. There was a blog post announcement on the dashboard, and in here as well. There is a link you click under Account - Premium Membership to get a home. If any new homes are available (it is first come, first served), that is where you find them. You have the choice of traditional home or houseboat. When you choose one, you are assigned a random parcel in that area. Each parcel has four versions of homes that you can choose by clicking on an object at the parcel, so you can try all styles out and change them out whenever you like. ETA: Link to initial blog notification:
  18. Ya know, I'd expect an IT Genius to know how to use the quote function on a forum. Just an observation.
  19. When you say the house was locked, do you mean that the doors were just locked? Or did you have the actual security orb set? If you only have the doors locked, someone can get in by just sitting on something inside the house, TPing in, etc. To totally keep intruders out, you would need to use an orb. LL has provided one in the contents pack that you can get by clicking on your mailbox. ETA: Also, if you are the owner of the parcel, you should be able to just eject someone who overstays his welcome.
  20. Perhaps they are holding onto the homes and are going to try for another spot with an alt, and see which they like better before they go to the trouble of decorating. In any event, it doesn't bother me if someone wants to leave their home empty. It's their perk to do with as they wish subject to the covenants, and there is no rule saying you must have furniture.
