  3. Welcome to the forum, trisigmagirl. You may find this surprising, but not everyone in SL would consider themselves "gamers"... I know I don't. That being said, I took the test anyway. Here's what I got: Introverted (I) 68.57% Extroverted (E) 31.43% Intuitive (N) 54.55% Sensing (S) 45.45% Feeling (F) 63.64% Thinking (T) 36.36% Perceiving (P) 55.88% Judging (J) 44.12% Your type is: INFP INFP - "Questor". High capacity for caring. Emotional face to the world. High sense of honor derived from internal values. 4.4% of total population. You might also be interested in looking at this thread that was started in the old forums. Good luck... Dres
  4. Chelsea Malibu wrote: I can't believe I missed this post as it is an area that I know well. The person who "infringed" on your content did not actually violate your copyright as much as they violated your licensing agreement. You sold it at full perm and allowed them a license to resell it. However, under the terms of what you stated, they did not fully follow the terms of your licensing agreement. Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't get how you've reached this conclusion. The way I read it, the only stipulation the OP put on the resale of her lightray pack was that the reseller could only sell them without transfer rights. I see nowhere that there was a restriction on pricing in what she stated. She even said she'd given permission to do so. While I understand her being upset about it after the fact, it seems to me, she just didn't take the steps necessary to protect herself from this happening in the first place. If I'm wrong, I'd appreciate you pointing out the reason, I'm sure I have a lot to learn. The use of her promotional picture is, of course, a different story... that's just plain wrong. But that appears to be the only claim she has against this unethical ass. I'd like to be wrong. ...Dres (I can't believe they **bleep** out bast*rd and not ass... lol.)
  5. Oh I know... sheesh. Wtf were they thinking? ...Dres
  6. Thanks Wildcat. You're almost to 1000... I can only imagine what that trophy looks like... lol. ...Dres
  7. Awww... that's alright. When I reach 400 and create another thread like this, I'll stop posting until you have given me my proper accolades. *giggles* ...Dres (Actually, I don't think I'll be creating another thread like this again. I question my sanity having created it in the first place.)
  8. Ohhhhh, I get it. I saw partners and breeding in the same sentence and thought... um... never mind. ...Dres

  12. Oh good, I'm glad you started your own group. I understand that there should be repercussions for breaking group rules, but certainly it can be done without requiring you shell out more money. Like a suspension of posting privileges for a period of time. And of course glitches with groups chat should be taken into consideration and perhaps just a warning of some sort should suffice for a first offence. It should be easy enough to weed out the repeat offenders, if you just take the time to pay attention to what's going on in your group, instead of resorting to draconian measures. Good luck... Dres
  13. It sounds like one of those groups where merchants post an ad, then the other merchants will re-post that ad in their own store groups, thereby making it possible for your ad to reach all of their customers as well. Why someone would pay for that, I have no idea. Especially when you could start a group of your own and not charge anything to be in it, if you so desire. You'd still get the benefit of being able to reach more people with your ads, which would hopefully make it financially worth the time and effort you would need to devote to policing the group. You could even find some other merchants that you trust to help out with it. Not to mention, there must be better ways to advertise your business. I, for one, would feel uncomfortable spamming my customers with ads from other businesses. Of course, I am only making an assumption as to the nature of the service provided by the group of which the OP spoke. I could be totally wrong about it. But either way, if the Op feels they are not getting what they're paying for, they should just leave the group... it's as simple as that. ...Dres
  14. Mmhmm... right, just blame it on the animation makers, those bastards... lol. But seriously, I would never tell a complete stranger they look busted. A friend, maybe, depending on our relationship and what I know about them personally. Like if I know they have issues with things like that to begin with. Even so, I'd try to bring up the topic in some way without coming right out and saying, "Girl... you in danger". Come to think of it, just sending some random person a link to this thread might get the point across in a backhanded sort of way. ...Dres Btw, if I sent you a link to this thread, you need help, sweetie.
  15. You mean to tell me someone actually saw this thread and thought it belonged in the building forum? Then again, there is no dustbin forum, is there? ...Dres
  16. I'll take it!!! I can have a little fun while I wait to reach Storm's prize, right? ...Dres *licks his lips*
  17. Wow! Thanks... though I was thinking more along the lines of this: And with the cute Asian guy to go along with it... but oh well, can't have everything. ...Dres
  18. Great idea. But would it go with my hot pink pants? ...Dres
  19. I've reached my three hundredth post. Do I get a trophy? Where's my cake, Bedelia? ...Dres ETA: Oh hell... I forgot these posts don't count. No fair. So here it is... My hot pink pants. Appropriate right? lol
  20. You think? It seems so bland by comparison. What if I add some sequins and peacock features? Would that be too much? ...Dres
  21. Yeah, I think you may have missed the point, the Op has a way of sometimes being purposefully obtuse in order to further her own agenda, quite creatively I might add. Though I believe creating threads, and even posts within a thread, can be a creative process, I don't believe it can be compared to creating content inworld. Which makes it a disingenuous argument from the start. I, myself, have never felt the need to start more than one thread every now and then, making it a non issue for me. Though, I wouldn't even know how to game the system if I wanted to, nor do I care about anyone's rank, especially my own. The way I see it, let people game the ranking system if they want. To the people who know how that's done it will probably be pretty obvious that that's what they're doing, to the rest of us it shouldn't make a bit of difference. I know I couldn't care less The spam issue is a different story. I'm for any idea being brought forth on limiting people's ability to spam the forum. That's why I suggest, if anyone honestly thinks new thread limits would help, add it to the CTUG agenda, let's discuss it there and see what Amanda and her crew have to say about it. Until we get feedback from them, we won't know if this is really an issue for which we should even be concerned. Also, I'd like to briefly go a bit off topic to say that I disagree with what you said here: muziekfreak1980 Miles wrote: 2 The rather buy the nice templated stuff and pretend the are creative (sort of a imposter to me) do not get me wrong good for the sculptors who sell builderskit (im one of those) People buying sculpt maps and textures and using them in creative ways are in fact being creative, not just pretending. The fact that they lack the skill or talent to create these from scratch does not take away from the fact that it does takes a certain amount of creativity to be able to put them together and create something unique, useful or simply beautiful. ...Dres

  24. Yay... thanks for letting me know. Even though I actually found out about this earlier after searching events (don't know why I didn't think to look there first... duh), I didn't know they had a blog... that will come in handy. Cheers... Dres
  25. I was wondering if anyone knows of any events in SL having to do with the royal wedding. Thanks... Dres
