  2. Cerise Sorbet wrote: Hi, yes it is CSS Oh hell, that leaves me out in the cold. After taking class after class, I can't even script a disco ball to spin around in SL... I'm sure learning CSS is completely out of the question. But that's alright... I can sure live with this theme. Again, many thanks. ...Dres

  4. Wow... thanks. So much better. Is it difficult to learn to do this? Seems like it would be fun to play around with it. ...Dres
  5. Elric Anatine wrote: I can chat endlessly about fashions sometimes! A man after my own heart... lol. Here's my entry in that genre... It's from Wretched Dollies https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/WD-Lord-Hollow/175996: I thought Rfyre was great at one time, now... not so much. I'll definitely have to check out the other's you've mentioned. Thanks... Dres
  6. I seem to be more attracted to sculpted prims more than regular prims, but each has it's place. I'm much more concerned with script count. I can't tell you how much better my SL experience has become since I started regularly monitoring the amount of scripts and their memory usage in my attachments. ...Dres ETA - the obligatory pic... Mostly sculpties.
  7. Things are looking up around here... thanks for listening. This goes a long way to show that my skepticism about this blog announcement Improving our Lines of Communication with the Community may have been misplaced this time. I certainly hope so. ...Dres
  8. Nika Talaj wrote: Nowadays I'm fairly happy at SLU. That's quite understandable... I've been a infrequent lurker there for a while now (infrequent at least until they closed this forum) and decided to make my first (introduction) post the day this forum opened back up. So I'll be spending more time there in the future... it's nice to be able to talk about whatever the f#*k you want. ...Dres
  9. Suella Ember wrote: Personally though, I'm largely ignoring the ranks. I prefer to judge people on the quality of what they say and do and I ask people to judge me the same way rather than what is written as my 'rank'. I don't have time to judge you on the quality of what you say... I'm far too busy being delicious. ...Dres
  10. Figures I'd find this thread after I struggled through figuring out the dimensions myself. But thank you for creating this thread. Maybe, one day, we'll be able to have more control over how they look. Until then, a cellar full of cheese for you... ...Dres
  11. Relm Foxdale wrote: I know it's corny of me, but I'd like it to reload to my post and not the first one again. Yeah, why do I need to see my own post when I wrote it, but...eh, I like it bask in the glory or something. This is perfectly understandable and in most cases I feel the same way. But, I do find it nice that when you post a reply to someone in the middle of a thread it brings you back to that exact post. I usual have to go back and find that post again if I haven't read the posts after it. Even so, it is annoying when you post to the top of the thread, even if you're on the last page, and are brought back to the very beginning. It would be a nice to have it as either a set option one way or the other. Perhaps an option that would have it ask you wear you want to go after you post something every time... though that probably wouldn't be very popular. ...Dres Btw... hate the spell check... I'd rather be able use the one built into my browser. I don't understand why that's not possible.

  13. Over all, I like it. But... Unlike some, I do not care for threaded view, but the inability to click a link back to see who someone has replied to is showstopper. Unless someone includes a quote from the post they're replying to, there is no way to tell what they're talking about half the time. The lack of a GD forum is quite unfortunate. I've noticed a number of threads already pulled because people were trying to discuss this. (This leads me to believe that these forums will be moderated to strictly curtail any criticism of LL and their usual, bad decision making ability... as in getting rid of the GD forum.) That being said I'm trying to remain optimistic.:smileyhappy: Btw, I see black on white not gray like some are saying... I am on Firefox. Still, it would be nice to have some options in coloring. Oh, and yes... bigger avatar pics as well. I'm sure there's more, but I have the best pizza in town waiting for me to pick it up. :smileyvery-happy: ...Dres
  14. George Orellana wrote: That looks really good Dresden, shows what I have been saying, making an accurate boy shape might take some work but is not impossible. Thanks... I certainly couldn't have done it without the help from that device. Even so, it took a while to do. Maybe I could have done it without it but it would have taken forever. ...Dres
  15. There's a tool I used when I created my 11y/o avatar that I found very useful. It's called Perfect Shape Helper 1.1 and is available for use at Jeremy's Painted On Clothes and More. (I wish it was available for purchase but it doesn't seem to be... maybe I should talk to the creator. I'd love to have one of my own) From the notecard (These optimal proportions are based on the golden ratio or "phi".). And you type in local what age you want to be to get the right proportions... pretty cool IMHO. I also found it incredibly useful, when using this device, to turn off the animation and unsit when you go into edit appearance mode (these are features in the Phoenix Viewer... I'm not sure if you can do it with other viewers). If you have the Phoenix Viewer you can go to Preferences/Phoenix, click on the "Avatar" tab then uncheck "Show appearance tag and animation in appearance mode" and "Unsit avatar when entering appearance mode". For an example, here's what I came up with using it... Hope this helps... Dres ETA... Btw the skin is Den-Dou.
  16. Glad I could help... Oh and btw, if there are no HP rp opportunities on the teen grid maybe you could set something up yourself... I'm sure it would be popular. Best of luck... Dres =)
  17. Nuesha, You don't have to fax the copy of your passport. All you have to do is take a picture of it and send it as an attachment in a ticket. This should be easy as long as you have some way to get it onto your hard drive, either get it developed and use a scanner or just transfering it from a digital camara if you have one. I know this because I had to do it once myself. Of course, this will only help if you used your actual rl info when you signed up, I would assume from the e-mail you received that they want to make sure you are who you say you are. That was the case with my problem as my account got link to someone elses because i stupidly signed on to their account to adjust a hat for them... lol. Then, when they had some payment issues with LL about a month later, they got their account blocked and guess what... so did I... go figure. Also, you will want to include in your ticket any alts you may have as they are probably blocked as well. As for anyone else that uses the same PC as you, they will probably have to do the same for their accounts as well. And they'll probably need to do it even after the IP is no longer blocked... but that's just speculation. I sincerly hope that you are able to get this worked out so you can enjoy yourself on the teen grid; just take it step by step and try not to get frustrated. =) Hope this helps... Dres
