why cant I buy lindens......please read hope it helps u
Cinnamon Lohner replied to Lexy Steamer's question in Linden Dollars (L$)
If your question is marked as solved, then it is available as an answer when someone fills in a new question with a similar title. However, if a question is never marked as solved, it will not. This has been a struggle for this Answers blog/forum ever since they went to this particular software. --Cinn -
how do i place furniture i have purchased into my linden home
Cinnamon Lohner replied to isisjuly's question in Getting Started
To rezz an object inworld, just drag it from your inventory onto any spot in your house. Also recommend you check out some of the many video tutorials related to basic functions in SL. https://secondlife.com/my/whatnext/video-tutorials/index.php? --Cinn -
Problem with Linden Dollars purchase
Cinnamon Lohner replied to Smaug Fitzcarraldo's question in Linden Dollars (L$)
This is a resident supported forum, so no, we cannot update your balance or refund your purchase. Go to your Dashboard - Account - Transaction History and check to see of the transaction is listed. Also check your linden balance here at the website (Dashboard - Account - Account Summary) as sometimes the inworld amount is out-of-sync with your actual amount. If you still do not see the linden but have a cleared Paypal transaction, then either a support ticket or a call to Billing is probably your next step. --Cinn https://support.secondlife.com/contact-support/ Have billing issues? what is the customer support phone number for india
Cinnamon Lohner replied to starling Torrance's question in Account
Pretty sure they don't have one. Use a support ticket if a Basic member and Live Chat is available if you are a premium account. Billing has some international numbers (below) but India is not listed. --Cinn https://support.secondlife.com/contact-support/ Have billing issues? Give us a call. 300 L dollar weekly allowance for premium membership?
Cinnamon Lohner replied to hlh3230's question in Linden Dollars (L$)
Weekly stipends are paid on Tuesdays. So in your case, I would either contact Live Chat or call Billing as you should have received a stipend this past Tuesday. --Cinn https://support.secondlife.com/start-chat/ Note that phone support is for billing issues only. You ARed a model at a shop?? Some poor 99%er trying to make an honest living and you ABUSE REPORTED her!?!?! Can you imagine the chatter on the group IMs if LL started banning live models at clothing stores who unknowingly model a copybotted item? The world would come unglued! AFAIK unknowinly wearing or buying a copybotted item is not against the TOS. When an item is identified as such, LL has a process for removing the item from people's inventories and notifying them of the event. They don't take the people out back and have them de-pixelized. --Cinn

I hear LL is going to make it so you cant see friends online, is this true?
Cinnamon Lohner replied to Brendan Siemens's question in Avatar
The problem today is that you can see people online that are NOT your friends and don't want you to see them. But some TPV's (and utility HUDs) will show you the online status of non-friends, leading to issues of stalking and other such nasty stuff. I believe that is the problem they plan to address with some of the new privacy settings/policies --Cinn -
A 500 prim motor cruiser is not made to be a vehicle. Just a building that looks like a boat! See KB article quote below and link for additional info on SL vehicles --Cinn http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Basic-movement-controls/ta-p/700033 Physical v. non-physical vehicles Physical vehicles behave according to Second Life's physical rules. For example, if you drive a car over a ledge, it may coast for awhile due to the momentum propelling it forward, but gravity acts upon it until it hits the ground. Physical vehicles must be 32 prims or fewer (see Limits). This prim economy makes vehicle-creators quite savvy and resourceful about how each prim is used in vehicle's overall construction. Non-physical vehicles can be 256 prims or fewer (see Limits?), including the driver and passengers, each of which counts as a prim. Since non-physical vehicles are not affected by physics, their motion may appear stilted and stiff, although their visual appearance may be more detailed. This generally makes "non-phys" vehicles a better choice for floating UFOs and large warships which don't need to interact with collisions and other kinetic behaviors.

Strange black prims no matter what viewer is used... help?
Cinnamon Lohner replied to Hitokage Indigo's question in Technical
Just because the laptop is new doesn't mean its loaded with the latest graphics drivers. Don't know about your black lines, but the pink problem has been widely covered here in the forums since early February. The problem is an ATI graphics driver bug in older drivers and the solution is to update the ATI drivers to latest version. There are also some workarounds posted in the numerous threads on this issue, but the ultimate solution is updating the drivers. --Cinn -
You have an ATI graphic card and the drivers need to be updated. The pink problem appears with old ATI drivers. --Cinn

Probably not allowed. But without seeing them its hard to judge. They would probably fall under the Ad Farm guidelines linked below. Read through it and if the signs are in violation, the wiki also tells you how to abuse report them. --Cinn http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Policy_on_ad_farms_and_network_advertisers

i can not long on to sl say the simulater not work
Cinnamon Lohner replied to ruby5454 Coleslaw's question in Technical
Try logging into a different sim. Pooley or Smith are a good choice. --Cinn -
All constructed items are in pink & magenta. Anyone else experiencing this?
Cinnamon Lohner replied to Twitzel Loon's question in Technical
Time to update your graphics drivers. Lots and lots of threads on this one. ETA: Unchecking Basic Shaders will also work but SL really looks flat and cartoonish with basic shaders turned off. :smileysad: --Cinn -
I want to read my previous days chatting with friends. Is it possible?
Cinnamon Lohner replied to aakansha's question in Account
Assuming you save your chat logs then yes it is possible. Go to Me - Preferences - Privacy. Check your settings for Chat Logs. If they are selected then you will also see the location of the logs listed at the bottom. If not selected, then select them so that you have the logs for the next time you want to read them. --Cinn -
Does the second life software contain adware?
Cinnamon Lohner replied to WriterOfMD's question in Technical
Perhaps you should invest in some antivirus software that checks for those things. No adware, malware or viruses that I've ever seen in the viewer download. --Cinn -

Third Party Viewer Policy Changes Comments
Cinnamon Lohner replied to Cinnamon Lohner's topic in Second Life Viewer
Actually I only use the LL Viewer. You can bitch about it if you want but just wanted other people to know that this thread was not intended as a gripe session but an information exchange about the latest policy changes. I would ask that posters keep that in mind, but unlike some people, I'm not foolish enough to believe people won't hijack my thread. --Cinn -
Third Party Viewer Policy Changes Comments
Cinnamon Lohner replied to Cinnamon Lohner's topic in Second Life Viewer
Yes, this is a troublesome statement: "You must not provide any feature that alters the shared experience of the virtual world in any way not provided by or accessible to users of the latest released Linden Lab viewer." At first reading I thought perhaps text based viewers would get axed under this. But removing features doesn't seem to be the target. My second impression was the RLV could come under attack by this policy. Does anyone know what current TPV feature(s) is targeted here? --Cinn -
So am I reading this correctly? Third party viewers can no longer display what viewer another person is using?? --Cinn
