I would like an Adult-Only subforum where adult topics can be discussed. I thought it was patently ridiculous yesteday when a word that is commonly used in a student biology textbook was considered a violation of the guidelines. There are creators of adult content in SL, landowners and renters on adult sims and Zindra, and other adult establishments. If we cannot use the Entertainment subforum to post things adult in nature, where then?

This is a known bug that was introduced in a 'recent' server maintenance. There is a JIRA on it and some anonymous bloke is assigned to it. You can try to look at your Current Outfit folder to see what's in there. Many times, you cannot detach the object that you do not want showing as 'worn'. You can have a folder set aside with shape, skin, etc etc and REPLACE ALL with the contents of that folder and then rebuild your avie. Laborious, but it is a workaround that works...until it doesn't. Hiya Hippie! Your friends are somewhat scattered and feeling their way. As we jumped about yesterday asking each other questions, the mods slammed down at the end of the day and closed all threads related to the forum that cannot be named. Hopefully things will stabilize as people learn not to mention that forum and can start posting things all over the SL forum. There is also the bit about not being able to use words that would be found in any high school science textbook.

Based upon the threads already created today, I think there *is* a need for some sort of 'GD type' area. Of course, we could post topics where we feel they 'best fit' from the current short list. I guess as long as we do not mention General Discussion or GD, that would be fine, right? One of the threads closed was in Entertainment and had NO mention of the GD forum in it at all! Torley even posted a vid clip to it. /me laughs

Whoops ZenZen I fear that your small thread is about to be yanked by the moderator. Any thread that mentioned 'GD' in the subject or within the thread 'somewhere' is being closed. There is no GD (as of now) in the new SL forum area. We have been told it will be assessed. In any case, there is a 500K limit on the size of a photo that you can upload and use as your forum photo. Just go into whatever software you use..GIMP, Paint...and shrink it a bit. Also, look for Scylla's thread on how to create a background for your profile. Very helpful.

I think that we are all feeling our collective and individual way around this place. I usually click on the Forums tab at the top and then check each of the subtopics to see what may be recent or new. /me laughs at her use of 'usually' OK, I mean for the past couple of hours. Tomorrow is another day.

Welcome to the new SL forum! I have been listening to your stream for about 15 minutes. While not my brand of electronica music, the selection flows nicely. I DJ at a club, too, where voice on mic is required. I have not yet heard you voice on mic. I know this is not always required for the type of music that you are playing now..was just wondering if you do. Thank you for inviting us to listen.

Did you change viewers recently? Are you using wireless (not recommended)? I assume that your computer already meets the recommended requirements for SL.

Have you changed viewers lately? Could it be the sim(s) in which you are at the time of the slowdown? Not all servers are alike. Do you have your Statistics box (CTL-Shift-1) open and can you see if there is a change in FPS, ping, or packet loss?

I am no expert on designing a child avatar but I learned just today that Mynerva has just released some child skins for sale. They all seem to be female skins.
