@Scylla Rhiadralent me the use of this backdrop. Initially I just wanted to look at it since she made such a lovely photo with it. It took a bit of time before any inspiration came to me. After playing with some light settings, the place evoked in me a certain mood, reminding me of some past life events. I worked at setting up a couple held props, and took several photos, changing the framing and camera angle. Thank you Scylla.

I admire you for talking about this. I'd say the experiment was very successful. You learned a lot about yourself. You learned that you're a decent human being. And for that also, I admire you. I have, for the most part, remained true to myself in SL. I have tried a few experiments, exploring myself, in search of a darker side. I couldn't find it either. However, in not trying to change myself, I discovered that SL has changed me. I have changed, not because I tried to, but because I let it happen. In both worlds, I'm much more outgoing today than I used to be. I'll sometimes say the first thing that crosses my mind. I dress in ways I never used to. I feel good, and I'm happy.

Don't worry, she'll find her way to where she needs to be, somehow. And maybe going by boat isn't such a great idea anyhow. There's a monster somewhere out there, in that water. A monster... whose name... I can't quite recall at the moment.

And Rhonda, we love you for it.

Two things. Thing one: Yes it's very cool how you can use materials to make shiny clothing. But please, If I really like the pattern and the color, but don't happen to want to be wearing vinyl clothing, include a HUD I can use to adjust the materials settings... please. Thing two: Guys (or anyone I suppose) who, because my house is on adult land, and I happen to be inside, wearing nothing, and even though all the doors are closed, decide it's ok to pop right in, beside me, wearing nothing and rampant. And then curse me out in an ego-rage when they are ejected, banned, and blacklisted. Seriously? You just asked for all of that.

It’s a violation of both the TOS and CS, regardless of whether or not the disclosed information is correct. Intent, acted upon, IS the violation. In any case, AR it, if it’s important to you. In the end though, LL is the final arbiter.

I'm not sure. What you experience might be just a general combination of all of the above, tall vs. short, partner vs. no partner, A confident look vs. a more submissive demeanor. And a bit of it might just be a perception thing. I also consider the possibility that your expectations might influence your demeanor and thus, at least partially, drive the results... maybe. The two different names, as well, can influence someone's perception of you. /me growls "Rhonda Huntress." /me purrs, fluttering her eyelashes ".....mmmaybie." However, as I know you, I may not actually be qualified to make any of this postulation. I'm no help, no help at all.

I post to be helpful or answer questions when I feel I have something of value to add to a conversation. If my goal were the likes, I'd probably post a lot more than I do. While I do look at likes from time to time, I much more rarely look at my reputation number. I don't feel I am in competition with anyone, and to be honest, if all the likes and/or reactions and total reputation numbers were removed from these forums, I'm not sure how I'd feel.

I remember a paid service within SL where you could submit a photo of your real face and have it mapped onto the system avatar head. The location might have been called Avatar Island or something like that. I didn't really have a lot of faith in how well that process would work.

Region and SIM are used interchangeably by some. Region is more correct. SIM, short for Simulator, is the computer and/or computer core on which a region is running (being simulated). A parcel is a plot of land in a region. The best deals depend on what kind of land you want, which can be dictated by your intended use of it. Land has different ratings; General, Moderate, and Adult. Differently rated land will have different scales of value. More information about these ratings can be found here. The best way to find out what a good deal is, is to look around for land that is for sale in regions containing your desired maturity rating. Then you can see what high and low sale prices are, and try to find a parcel size and price that is right for you. Land sales by residents can be done in two ways, direct sale to anyone, or to a specific individual; or by auction, as desired by the land owner. Buying land directly from LL, in my experience, will always involve an auction, which usually results from Governor Linden reclaiming land that has been abandoned and auctioning it. But sometimes, new areas of land created by LL, such as the Horizons regions, will also be sold by auction. When you look on the map to see land for sale, normal sales will be highlighted in yellow, and auctions in purple.
