What you describe here is one of my enumerated peeves in the peeve thread. But you know that. ♥

Grumpy kitteh gets into too much catnip. She climbs into her litterbox and scratches around, forgetting what she went in there for. Litter scatters over the floor, along with little clumps of dried pee and poo. They make a pleasing sound. She stands, head cocked to one side, to survey the mess. She claims it is art, or maybe awrt, and wobbles to the door, paw out, waiting for the patrons to come and exclaim over her creative genius. She also hopes for cupcakes. And yeah... no... not for public use. LoL. XD

That's cool. But that doesn't make you less wrong.

We need a facepalm reaction.

Sometimes when kitteh is feeling this way, the best thing is to put her in her quiet place. And I know it isn't just me with this opinion/observation, but putting the "covers" on to make this PG (cough) and fit into the guidelines, just makes the photo MORE risque. God forbid anyone should see a woman's body, right?

I think that if @Jordan Whitt got her wish and became a unicorn and stabbed stupid people with her head, she'd soon need to be refitted for that horn.

Peeve: Well, its really "people" of course, but more specifically: folks wandering in here wanting "us" to do their work for them. This takes so many forms. Maybe it is the person who hasn't taken the least bit of energy to try to google the information themselves. Maybe it is the student who wants us to do their legwork for a paper. Maybe it is a wannabe designer wanting us to do their research for them. Maybe it is the person who wants "us" to write their new, cool, stylin e-mag for free. Maybe it is ... There are a lot of them that come and go on the forums. To be fair, it isn't just SL forums. Because: People. Kitteh is grumpeh.

I think @Garnet Psaltery @Orwar @Lucia Nightfire @Dafadilia Wayfarer and others gave you their honest impressions. And why.

Nope. I don't relate to it. I doubt anyone else does. And I can pretty much guarantee that it is out of anyone's mind faster than the click to the next comment. Style is not substance. Concept.

This reads like refrigerator magnet prose. Word vomit with a pretension of trying to be edgy and deep. Fail. If this is the type of tripe you are looking for, even if you got people to stupidly participate (given the information I've read here), I doubt anyone would read it for long. That's what I was getting at. There ARE A LOT of people social distancing, wearing masks, taking the hits to their conveniences to protect themselves AND OTHERS here in the USA. However, for what seems like mostly political reasons (which is insane, a virus isn't political) or at least a personal belief system that tends to make folks lean towards a political belief that eschews masks and all other protective methods, there are millions who don't *believe.* I can't change that. I can't tackle people and force masks upon them. It isn't like they are being denied access to factual information. They choose differently. We aren't the only country with idiots, by the way. And I believe the world is still wrestling with covid, not just the USA. We just have to do everything bigger, louder and more obvious than other folks I guess. **ETA: Also to the "point" that no government will save us... Yes/no. People need to be smart enough to choose common sense/factual options versus knee-jerk, political views. Sadly, that seems to be lacking. Governments CAN lead. In the USA we have seen some governors lead better than others. Even my state with a horrid dipstick of a GOP governor... because he's chosen common sense over the party. (Totally blows my mind.) Those who choose to lead with fear and misinformation absolutely can affect the over-all health of their constituents. The proof of that is obvious. Save us? Maybe not. But guide us responsibly? You betcha they can.

Considering I have crashed more in the past 3-4 days than I have a total of many months previous, I'd say "not so fast on the congrats." Today I had 4 TP crashes using 2 different viewers, to several different regions, some full some empty.

Sadly, those of us who know that, do something about it. But there are a whole lotta people who just don't get it. I'm not saying it is a 1:1 ratio of those who don't get it and those who voted for Trump, but I'm guessing it is close, and there were an amazing number of people who voted for Trump & the anti-science, anti-common sense, anti-neighbor, etc. crappola that go along with. People are just effing stupid. Not everyone, but enough to make it a real problem (as witnessed by the numbers) and undermine the common good. A virus shouldn't be a political issue, other than "how do we stop it." Oh. Well.

Peeve: Coming in "here" because I have received notice, either as GiGi or (well the last time I named my alt she apparently threw me under the bus to the mods for "speaking about others...") so "she who will not be named!" (but is in my footer). Then getting sucked into threads, because... I'm here and I'm weak. Then posting on a thread or two, logging in and seeing I have an IM (again, peeve) here, and then being told I don't have permission to view comments! Oh ffs! Now who turned me in???? For what? Oh. Wait. The whole thread is down. OK. That's probably for the best, it was tacky tacky icky. So: Please, for those of you who keep sending me IMs HERE, stop. If you think I want to chat, then please do so inworld, and you should probably use the OTHER avatar's profile to do it. I'm a cat. I don't read messages often inworld, ya know? If somebody said something to me specifically in the defunct thread, I didn't read it. I don't necessarily care or want to know, but if you think it is important, then see above. Peeve: Still people.

This can be extended to poses, too, when they come in a pack. Also, even the singles, add a frikkin ad texture to show the pose so I don't have to try it on in SL to see if it is the right one. Naming things "Endearing!" isn't all that helpful. :::grumbles:::

Thank you for writing this. And, I hate to say it, but you are being smart. Stating your truth and your reality here only makes you targets for the asshats, those who use LL moderation for personal vendetta and not for what it should be for. Sadly, moderation here allows and even seems to encourage that. So if you value your ability to type the few times, like here, in this comment, it is best to just type and delete.

Wow. And I had the same thing happen to me not too long ago. I *know* I filled out the gift thing correctly, and even included a gift card. I didn't hear from the recipient for days, which was odd because they are polite and would normally send a "Thanks!" Then I looked in my inventory and... the gift was sent to me! Unlike you, the store's owner was FABULOUS and sent the gift to the right person ASAP. It may have helped that I already had the item in my inventory. $L3500 is not a fun thing to lose.
