This is not a reflection on you. It's very rare for someone to be able to tell what I am thinking as 99.999% of the time what they think I am thinking is so far out in left field, they've left the planet. There is only one person who can "read my mind" occasionally and that is only because we've lived together for 24 years. Little things like one night recently I was kind of craving some tater chips. The next day he brought me some Pringles. I never mentioned the craving to him. Peeve: Being one of those rare people who do not have the "European mindset" on top of being one of the 10% of left-handed humans. It's not fun and it is damned lonely.

Nope. Merely an observation that seems to get under the skin of those who are insecure or possibly self-centered.

Are we ever gonna be able to hide account age?
Silent Mistwalker replied to Midnoot's topic in General Discussion Forum
Huh. I must have harassed more than 13 people yesterday since that's how many notices were waiting for me this morning. 🤔 🤭- 545 replies

They will ask things like the names of some of the people on your friends list (5, I think) so be thinking about details like that. You don't need to include those in the support ticket. These are things they will ask once they have received the ticket to verify you are the owner of that account. Give them the account name and the email if you remember it. Those will get the ball rolling. https://support.secondlife.com/create-case/ Select "Account Issue" from the first drop down and "Reactivate old account" from the second. Fill in the rest of the requested information. If the account still exists, LL will contact you, asking for proof that you owned the original account. There is a US$9.95 fee for reactivation.

Are we ever gonna be able to hide account age?

I'll take the senior discounts but you can have the cruises, except the river cruises, I wouldn't mind taking a cruise down the MS or Columbia through the Gorge. I typoed discounts and sat here for 5 minutes debating whether or not to change it but someone would take offense at the o being left out and report me for it. 🤭- 545 replies

I have them turned off. They've been turned off for more than 2 years and I still get notices for reactions. It doesn't bother me. I'm just saying it doesn't always work.- 545 replies

People are allowed by LL to create more than one account. Deal with it. If you can't deal with it, it may be that SL isn't a good place for you.- 545 replies

I do this frequently at times and have to change it. Mainly when the battery in my mouse is dying.- 545 replies

OK. I'm going to lay it on you. You are creating a solution to a problem that DOES NOT EXIST for 99.99% of residents. So maybe you should take a look at your own behavior and figure out what you may have said or done to cause your personal issue.- 545 replies

How would hiding it affect the features in SL that deal with keeping griefers on new throw aways out of regions and parcels, I wonder. Presumably it won't but this is LL. Humans obsess too much over petty things like age.- 545 replies

Something does change when rebooting the modem/router and that is the reason for rebooting the pc at the time. Sometimes that is what it takes for the pc to pick up on the new IP. Otherwise, people would be screaming they can't get online. So, no, rebooting the pc by itself isn't going to change anything but rebooting the modem does. Restarting the pc clears memory of anything "stuck" which is always a good thing to clear.
