  1. Thank God I can see the buttons, now I just gotta guess which is which.
  2. I told my daughter to check her attitude and she looks at me and said "For complaints about attitude please contact the manufacturer" Well played sassy, well played.
  3. It's possible Ive posted this before. Sorry if i did. - It's just such a good one and doesn't get enough love in my opinion.
  4. We have 3 Husky's at home. Trust me, i know completely what you mean!
  5. The silence after your kid falls over is the worst. Because they're either absolutely fine or filling their lungs with enough air to mimic an air raid siren.
  6. When a YouTuber says: This video is sponsored by... Me:
  7. I can't even imagine the self control required to work at a bubble wrap factory.
  8. Nobody is more full of false hope than a Mom who places items on the stairs for her family members to carry up.
  9. Those are the things i've seen.
  10. So a couple of weeks ago i reported a security exploit on the marketplace website. You (LL) acknowledged it and told me you'd present it to a dev. Yesterday i see two changes to the MP website but not a fix for the exploit. I like to see "What Customers are Buying Now" so i have the main page of MP open often en refresh it many times. It has 2 rows totaling 8 items that have recently been bought by someone. Somehow you've reduced that to 4. Not sure why because now i see less of what is being bought right now so there is less potential for me to buy something i don't need. Shot yourself in the foot there a little bit i'm afraid. Second change is an annoying one. You've reduced the page number navigation. Not sure why because there is more then enough real estate on the bottom of the page to display it like it used to be. All it does is making navigating through pages more difficult. < Prev 1 2 ... 50 Next > On the positive side. You've finally understood that if i want to show 96 items per page, that i want this all the time. It looks like the website finally saves that setting. Good job. So to summarize: You've added 2 changes to the website that in all reality make the website less user friendly and you've ignored a reported security exploit. Where are the priorities exactly?
  11. I forget what thread, but i've said this before recently. Don't rely on "out-world" (new therm i've just ow invented for things outside SL, patent pending 😛) services to make your thing run, or buy something that needs "out-world" mechanics to work.
  12. An API would indeed be the way to go about this here. Also, LL allows name changes for how long now? A year? Longer even? I forget. This scripter has had a lot of time to upkeep this service and it's database and catch up to this. It's inexcusable. I'm sure that those of us that script within SL and have things running long term or even sell scripted things, know they will sooner or later have to change or even rewrite parts of their script because LL changes things. It is part of being a programmer. That's why you get new versions of just about anything.
  13. This was my first reaction when i read the OP. Just store UUID's and convert those inworld into names. Heck, you can even do that to display user names on a web page even if you only have a UUID. As most have already pointed out, charging for a programming oversight is beyond low. Go any lower and you'll find dinosaur bones. I understand you like to use their service and wish to keep doing so but if it was me, i'd be sure to rip them a new one.
  14. I've seen this, but not in SL. I saw this on my own (Dreamgrid) OpenSim region. I thought it was a bug with OpenSim but could not find anything. Now since you guys are reporting this in SL makes me want to believe it might be a viewer issue although that should not make sense. But then again, OS and SL do not have the same serverside code. I believe those two forked long ago. I'm purely guessing here but it is interesting that it happens on both.
  15. Post my picture on r/whoosh because I totally don't get what the issue is here. Why does it matter if someone is trying to look like you? OP, if this really is an issue for you then i strongly suggest rethinking your priorities.
  16. What did we learn today? Never buy anything that depends on an external server to run. It never lasts. I've seen lots of things come and go/break in SL that depend on an external server/service.
  17. 10 years in SL today. My dear lord what a trip it has been. I never thought i would be here for that long. I signed up just because i was curious and now look. I have a fairly reasonable income within SL, i made some true friends and made some pretty neat things. But i don't want this to be about me. Tell me, how long are you here and how did SL change your life? I'm curious. PS; My Rezday is on Valentines day, How neat, ha?
  18. Although this could be good advice in the right context, this doesn't really apply here. Scripts run server side, not client side. This is why LL restarts regions when everyone is all up in arms when there is lag or scripts not working correctly. they are not asking for you to restart your computer. But OP, What Nalates suggest won't hurt, even if it just acts as a health checkup for your computer.
  19. I'm not actually sure what the current release version is anymore. I get FS Beta versions to try and break so i'm a few numbers ahead.
  20. I went to have a quick look at your home location (link to that is in the specs you shared) and as i suspected, that parcel has scripts disabled. That's why nothing is loading. It should always be your first reflex to change region if something isn't working right or at all. Also, your FS version is quite outdated
  21. All of the people posting here are in one way or another related to SL. Checkmate!
