  1. Oh i know Lindens and Moles are watching this. In fact, i dare one of them to say hi
  2. You know, i'll be honest. I don't know why the mods are allowing us to do this. In other threads they are usually pretty quick at shutting things down and saying "you went off topic, boom! Locked"
  3. Are you surprised at this? Is this your first day on the internet?
  4. I wanted to post a joke about Sodium but I was like Na, people won't understand.
  5. LL, don't lock this one. Everyone is posting nonsense but OP changed the title to "nobody is serious anymore" So none of us are breaking the rules right now by doing things like this:
  6. Half of SL is horny, half is depressed, and the other half is bad at math.
  7. I asked my daughter to give me a phone book. She laughed at me, called me a boomer and lent me her iPhone. So, now the spider is dead, her iPhone is broken and my daughter is furious.
  8. I still don't see the problem with that but NO! I won't start this here again. /me grabs @Love Zhaoying's hand. Let's go to another thread
  9. Wha? If people don't demo it, so what? You can't force them, can you? How is that relevant here? Also don't say "I sell myself items" but instead say "I, myself, sell items. The way you worded that makes it look like you're selling your own items to yourself, lol. Just trying to help
  10. @Coffee Pancake Hold the phone for just a hot second here. I'm a bit confused. Wasn't it you who was very loud and animated about a couple of bots that read profiles and publicized them? If i'm not mistaken you've even started a thread about it yourself. I'm so confused because in your OP you said this: So... What is it, do you want profiles to be read or not? I'm sorry, i'm confused here.
  11. I can feel it coming, can you feel it coming?
  12. Mkay I don't care where you're from though. I mean, i do know now, but forgive me for not taking you all that serious or believe you after watching you for a bit on a few threads, including this one. Anyhow! Back on topic; Did we all forget that OP never said anything about the perm system? Why is this even been brought up? That's just arguing to argue. Pointlessly i might add, and you don't bring anything useful to the conversation. Go back to page 1 and read OP's opening post. Then tell me where it says anything about that.
  13. Did i just catch you in a lie? Didn't you tell me in another thread that you didn't know anything about that country? Hm...
  14. Because of what i said earlier. To them it is not (all) about making something that you like and you having your input/suggestions on it. It is about making something roughly the vast majority would like and selling as much as possible of it and then moving on to the next thing. There is no creativity in SL anymore. In the case of clothing, just watch what happens on MP. Watch the clothing styles and watch how every single creator makes something similar at the same time. If you pay attention to this, it becomes so obvious once you actually see it.
  15. On that point. I have occasionally asked the odd creator to give me a modifiable version of what I've bought of them. You'd be surprised how many are actually willing to give that to you if you ask nicely.
  16. Hm, i don't know about that. Your analogy of a real world car compared to a virtual item is tricky at best. We all know cars typically come painted plain. If you see a car with really loud colors, or even a single loud color, you would assume it's owner did that to it and you won't accuse Ford of having painted it that way. However, having said that. I also don't really agree with "no mod" in SL for the very reason you've actually pointed out. In RL you can mod anything. (Even though lately you don't really own anything anymore, but that's another can of worms i'll open on Reddit or something, not here .) Nobody is stopping anyone from modding anything in real life. Some people really shouldn't, but they can nonetheless, and i'm all for that. I've made a few planes over the years and sell them in SL, they are mod, people make paints (textures) for them and come and show them to me and they are all proud of it. I actually really enjoy it when they do that. Some of y'all here in SL are really creative and talented. This is what SL effectively is. It's user created. But we should not be naive and actually look at human behavior and try to see a pattern. SL in it's early years was all about creating and being one of a kind in how your avatar looked. Now it is replicating the real world. Our avatars have 1024 by 1024 textures for eyes to get the highest detail possible and clothing creators are almost mass producing items and obviously making them no mod and selling them per color, why? Money. SL is no longer about building and creating, it's about making money, running a business. You keep buying it, so you're enabling this. So, who do you blame? It's... only human nature...
