So it's not all that difficult to put "dance pack" and "L$3300" in a search and figure out pretty quickly exactly what and from who you bought. That creator is still active in SL. I dove in a little deeper and looked at this creator's profile to see what groups they are in and wouldn't you know it, they are in a couple of groups i also happen to be in. Took me a few because LL "improved" groups by just not populating member lists if they are too big (Still sour about that one LL, anyway...!) This creator (i'm fairly sure i found the creator you are talking about) has last been online 27th of april 2023 so they didn't leave SL. You said, rather condescending, that you are 14 years in SL. I'm 10 years in SL and know this basic way to track someone down in SL. Just saying Here's some advice. Instead of shaming here by saying in the title of this thread that someone "ripped you off", try and have a little patience. Like most people here said, sometimes people have other things going on in their RL and can't come to SL that often. But as i saw that apparently you had to send someone here a rude private message while they were trying to help you, kinda says a lot about you. So maybe i should expect a rude message too? Have patience, this creator is still active and i'm sure they will get back to you as soon as they can. Going to the forums for this type of thing is... Well i won't say what i think about it. LL has deleted way too many of my messages as is.

The new Plus voices NR has are really good. I think you can preview them for free. I have a paid subscription, so i don't know.

Slightly off topic but i feel it might fit here. I often use a browser extension called Natural Reader. It recently got an update with AI voices and when i use it, even here on the forums, it reads so much more as an actual person would. it's gotten so good it sometimes tricks me into thinking i'm listening to an actual person. I use this because i understand better when i'm listening instead of reading. Also English isn't my first language. I just thought i'd mention this as it is somewhat in the spirit of this topic.

I'm not that old in SL, 10 years. But I can't let go of a group called Barefoot Radio Social Club. It was founded by Ed Merryman. You may have seen this name before as he was the founder of most Firestorm support groups and used to be the lead support for the Firestorm Viewer. He was my mentor and taught me basically everything I know from the viewer. He taught classes for the viewer in voice and was very good at it, he was a really nice and helpful man. Around the end of 2019 he suddenly announced he would no longer do the classes and soon after announced he would leave Firestorm Support. He has not been online anymore since February 2020 and I miss him very much. I don't know if he's ok or just had enough of SL and just left it. So yeah, I will never leave that group.

There's at least one (that i know of) actual bot ran by GPT. I had a conversation with it and it's pretty cool actually. I won't say it's name or who made it because as OP already said, Using ChatGPT carries a cost, and it goes per word if i'm not mistaken. But it's a pretty neat proof of concept nonetheless. There's great potential obviously since as we might know, you can make a bot walk, sit on things, follow you, go places on it's own and if we can now make it have somewhat of an actual conversation, that's pretty neat imo.
