  1. That just looks like a really safe avatar. If it falls over, it'll bounce right back up again.
  2. Triggered, no. Annoyed, and a bit concerned that this seems to be such a big massive hoopla? Yes, very much so. Thanks for your concern. I appreciate it.
  3. "my avatar" is a collection of meshes and textures that other people made, i just happen to bring them together and it forms a female avatar. It's a thing, an object. In fact, not even that. It's a crash test dummy for the things i do with it in SL, lol. I never see it as a human or something i would feel something for. Reality, it's a really neat thing. lol.
  4. The "options" you gave are. I'm not going to have this argument with you. Trying to put sense in your head has been proven pointless many times over. Enjoy targeting others in this thread that will go against anything you say or think. I just gave my opinion. I'm walking away from this. You'll find me in the "Make Us Laugh" thread or something. Not this crap.
  5. Another one of these!? smh... I deliberately didn't participate in the other threads about this because my posts wouldn't survive long anyway, (can't have the wrong opinion.) but i'm going to now. Here's my opinion on child avatars: I think it's weird, creepy and sorta sick. When you wanna play a child avatar in SL, or wherever online; i think you need to see a therapist because something happened in your childhood that wasn't all that great, and before you all lose your collectieve sh*ts, I am not poking fun of you. I'm actually really serious. I don't see any good reason to play a child avatar online and when i do happen to run into one, they are highly annoying and often talk in this ridiculous role play language and i just know it's an actual adult on the other side. it's weird. Y'all need Michael... Now go and delete my post LL, it's too real and may "offend" a whole bunch of people. (lol)
  6. I poke my head in every now and then. First of all, i'm really surprised this thing isn't locked yet. (lost a bet with a friend on that.) But this now really feels like: PS: I won't share my opinions on all of this, LL would deleted them anyway, lol.
  7. First day on the internet ha? How it is not your first reaction to block and move on, is beyond me. The fact that you didn't block them in the first few seconds is all the fuel they needed to mess with you more. Again, you are on the internet right now... I mean...
  8. I was so expecting this thing to be closed by now. Someone would have slightly stepped out of line and *WHAAM*, locked.
  9. Not to brag, but I was alive when you could SLAM the phone down to hang up on someone. It was spectacular.
  10. So i'm faffing around with a script for OpenSim. I like to slow down avatar speed to something more realistic because, yes, avatars walk too fast. Thankfully OS has an actual function for that but slowing down an avatar does make it struggle with slopes. It's not great going up hill. So my plan was to write a script that if an altitude change is detected while the avatar is walking, i should boost it's speed just a little bit. In order to do this, i had to add a little snippet to my script that actually detects the altitude change but unfortunately today i'm all but lazy. So i asked AI. Here's how that went: Me: Write me an LSL script that reports if an avatar is changing altitude while walking. AI: Certainly! Below is an LSL script that detects whether an avatar is changing altitude while walking. It utilizes the llGetAgentInfo function to determine if the queried avatar is walking. If the avatar is walking, it will play a sound (such as footsteps) to indicate movement: You can place this script in a HUD (for the owner only to hear the sound) or in an attachment (for others to hear your footsteps too). Make sure to have a sound file named “footsteps” in the object’s inventory1. Feel free to customize the sound file to your preference! 🚶‍♀️🔊 Me: lol, that is not even close to what i asked. AI: I apologize for misunderstanding your initial request. Let me correct that. Here’s an LSL script that specifically checks if an avatar is changing altitude while walking: In this revised script, I’ve added logic to detect altitude changes while the avatar is walking. If the avatar’s altitude changes significantly (more than 0.1 meters), it will report that the avatar is changing altitude while walking. Feel free to adjust the threshold value as needed! 🚶‍♀️📏 Me: there are errors in this script, fix it AI: I apologize for the oversight in the previous script. Let’s address the issues and provide a corrected version. Here’s the revised LSL script that accurately checks if an avatar is changing altitude while walking: In this corrected version: I’ve used llFabs to calculate the absolute value of the altitude change. The threshold for altitude change is set at 0.1 meters. You can adjust this value as needed. Feel free to use this updated script, and it should now accurately report altitude changes while an avatar is walking! 🚶‍♀️📏 Me: This works perfectly. Thanks! AI: You’re welcome! I’m glad the corrected script works as expected. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask. Happy scripting! 😊🚶‍♀️📏 (The AI in question here is Microsoft's Copilot. I've used ChatGPT in the past to generate LSL scripts but I've found that Copilot is just better at it, for now.)
  11. That's not an "ID Key" though, its a UUID, lol.
  12. Pfft, lol. A key like that is impossible to know if it's a user, a sound, a texture, an object, an animation,... within SL. You can't know just by seeing the UUID (not UIID, like you said )
  13. Common sense (very rare, these days) should be used when seeing random messages in groups, from people you don't know. If it's a link, it takes you outside SL. That in itself isn't a problem. For example, if you're in a group i'm also happen to be in, and i post Gyazo links with a highly clickbaity text, you have to click it, if you want a good laugh that is. Anyway, like i was saying. If it's a link and it asks you to log in. Don't... Phishing is "fishing" for your information. So if a link asks for your login credentials, be absolutely positively sure you know the website and you know it's URL. If it's something close to, but not really what you expect, don't click it. Also, if you see a random user post a random link, check the account, check it's age. If it's a day old or joined today, be highly suspicious. Like i said, common sense...
  14. You should create an account. I have one. It's honestly amazing what this Suno AI can do. You tell it to generate a song about something and in what style, and it does it. - I think they do have to worry.
