@EnCore Mayne I'd just like to point something out... Do you see it? In case you don't, You are basically saying "i'm going to have your comments removed because i don't like them", and "i'm calling you a troll because i don't like what you have to say about what i think". I really don't know if you actually see this but i hope you do because this is says an awful lot about who you are as a person and i say this because I care, I'm a little worried that you would say things like this publicly on the internet. It's a good thing nobody knows your real life name because that could not play out so well for you in your real life. This is not a threat at all, so don't take it that way. I was among the few who said that this is possibly a troll post because it really looks like it. I mean, if you look at most, if not all responses, they all pretty much firmly disagree with your OP. I don't know exactly how many people are engaged in this thread but you just can not go and claim that they are all wrong collectively. That's just not how things work. Or that nobody understood what you actually said. If you do believe that, then that is pretty condescending towards pretty much everyone of us. Could be a bit of a narcissistic trade you got going on there. I'm not saying you are, but it does kinda look like it.

Just read page 1 and maybe page 2 of this thread. Read all the replies and look at the high number of likes those got. Also look at the type of reactions the OP got. This should give you a clue. A big one, like a sledgehammer or something. If it doesn't, there is nothing I can do for you. This thread has actually pissed me off and i'm not going to have this dance with you now. If you wanna have batsh!t crazy ideas like OP, go ahead, but i'm not taking your bait this time.

So OP, I just found this super juicy thread and I've pretty much only read yours and a few responses. I will get through all of them in a bit but i wanted to ask you just one question. English isn't my first language but i think i'm fairly good at it but i believe you may have taught me a new phrase. Please confirm: Does "inspired thought" mean "thinking while under the influence of something" ? Joking aside, what you are proposing here is really just about exactly what is wrong with the world today. I'll do my best to not get political or anything but i do wish to bring my point across. I see a lot of what you are proposing in the world today. People want to separate each other by how they look, how they feel, what they are, or what they believe they are or what class they are. Please point me to a single event in history where this had a good outcome. I'm sorry but i'm going to say it as i think it is and it is not to belittle you but this is a dumb idea. So it's not all that difficult to put "dance pack" and "L$3300" in a search and figure out pretty quickly exactly what and from who you bought. That creator is still active in SL. I dove in a little deeper and looked at this creator's profile to see what groups they are in and wouldn't you know it, they are in a couple of groups i also happen to be in. Took me a few because LL "improved" groups by just not populating member lists if they are too big (Still sour about that one LL, anyway...!) This creator (i'm fairly sure i found the creator you are talking about) has last been online 27th of april 2023 so they didn't leave SL. You said, rather condescending, that you are 14 years in SL. I'm 10 years in SL and know this basic way to track someone down in SL. Just saying Here's some advice. Instead of shaming here by saying in the title of this thread that someone "ripped you off", try and have a little patience. Like most people here said, sometimes people have other things going on in their RL and can't come to SL that often. But as i saw that apparently you had to send someone here a rude private message while they were trying to help you, kinda says a lot about you. So maybe i should expect a rude message too? Have patience, this creator is still active and i'm sure they will get back to you as soon as they can. Going to the forums for this type of thing is... Well i won't say what i think about it. LL has deleted way too many of my messages as is.

The new Plus voices NR has are really good. I think you can preview them for free. I have a paid subscription, so i don't know.

Slightly off topic but i feel it might fit here. I often use a browser extension called Natural Reader. It recently got an update with AI voices and when i use it, even here on the forums, it reads so much more as an actual person would. it's gotten so good it sometimes tricks me into thinking i'm listening to an actual person. I use this because i understand better when i'm listening instead of reading. Also English isn't my first language. I just thought i'd mention this as it is somewhat in the spirit of this topic.

I'm not that old in SL, 10 years. But I can't let go of a group called Barefoot Radio Social Club. It was founded by Ed Merryman. You may have seen this name before as he was the founder of most Firestorm support groups and used to be the lead support for the Firestorm Viewer. He was my mentor and taught me basically everything I know from the viewer. He taught classes for the viewer in voice and was very good at it, he was a really nice and helpful man. Around the end of 2019 he suddenly announced he would no longer do the classes and soon after announced he would leave Firestorm Support. He has not been online anymore since February 2020 and I miss him very much. I don't know if he's ok or just had enough of SL and just left it. So yeah, I will never leave that group.

There's at least one (that i know of) actual bot ran by GPT. I had a conversation with it and it's pretty cool actually. I won't say it's name or who made it because as OP already said, Using ChatGPT carries a cost, and it goes per word if i'm not mistaken. But it's a pretty neat proof of concept nonetheless. There's great potential obviously since as we might know, you can make a bot walk, sit on things, follow you, go places on it's own and if we can now make it have somewhat of an actual conversation, that's pretty neat imo.
