  1. I don't know what part of "this is a public health issue not a politic issue" you don't get. You are endangering the lives of others with your belief the media is publishing truths just for you and perhaps one other person in this thread. When COVID hits your area and there is no room in the E.R. for you, you may grow up a bit and out of your entitlement mentality.
  2. Answer: No. I'm not watching those and many have already debunked those drugs in this thread, me included. So, no. Please do not send me anymore of your quackeries.
  3. This is the other thing triage. Many of us who had very serious issues where triaged into 2021, months and months of waiting, nearly a year. I'm in the Los Angeles area, as Prok said he wasn't sure where I was/am. My friend had no easy routine hysterectomy she needed, it was serious as she had bleeding and her uterus fell to a very uncomfortable place that she couldn't hardly sit and she had to wait a year. But, logic with Arielle and Natales just doesn't seem to compute, let alone triage. Don't they realize how over-whelmed pharmacies would have been if they allowed HCQ prescriptions? This is simple logic to me. It would have been a complete nuisance and gone into total bedlam. Total bedlam, but they continued for weeks and weeks and weeks about a drug for malaria that doesn't work for COVID as a prophylactic/preventative.
  4. There were no doctors to even treat the COVID patients in ambulances in the parking lots. Don't these two, Arielle and Natales, understand how overwhelmed the medical profession has been? Not. enough. doctors. to. take. care. of. the. covid. patients, and patients left without care in the parking lot. The entitlement of these two is unbelievable. Don't they understand even that pharmacies were over-whelmed? Some had written on this forum board early on during the pandemic that they couldn't get their needed prescription filled and were in deep anxiety while waiting it out for their regular meds. There wasn't going to be any over-turning to where these two could have gotten HCQ without a prescription and that is sane and was a good thing as it would have over-whelmed pharmacies and been a nuisance and it doesn't help. But, the entitlement of these two. They need to get a grip on reality.
  5. I couldn't get to a specialist for thirteen months. All private doctor's offices were closed. I had to talk to my doctor on conference call phone only. My primary couldn't prescribe what I needed and I know of others who did not receive the care they needed. We made it through though, one of my friends having a hysterectomy just a month ago. The reason we had lockdown here is because we were at minus zero emergency room care. The board of health came to help here because they said "if you get sick, we have no where to send you", exact quote. We had our temperatures taken twice a day and other help here at our building as we stayed in our apartments in lockdown. People with Covid were being treated in the parking lots of hospitals here. I said during a pandemic, the Covid-19 pandemic. There were no doctors that were going to take patients here to give them prophylactic HCQ. LOL No.
  6. You know, Maddy and others I am really sick of hearing about this and the back and forth with HCQ and Azithromycin and whatever else there may be here because it's debated without logic and that logic is in America as far as I know one needs a prescription for HCQ so how does one take that into logic? Very easily, doctors have been extraordinarily busy and going through hell helping the sick from Covid and every doctor was needed on the front lines so there were no doctors available to prescribe HCQ as a prophylactic period let alone that sounds "quaky" to me. But, just logically, if others could think for a minute - there were NO DOCTORS AVAILABLE to prescribe people HCQ. I kind of shouted a little bit there, maybe one or two will hear this time and think logically about what was going on in a pandemic and lockdown. Or maybe what I am saying here is just common sense during a very serious pandemic - NO DOCTORS AVAILABLE TO PRESCRIBE YOU HCQ AS A PROPHYLACTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!! Some people in this thread need to get real and it's NOT you, Maddy.
  7. Define "sane" when some Republicans want to make this a politic issue. I am vaccinated plus I think I had Covid in January of 2020 although it was a flu-like illness before Covid was known so I treated it at home without doctor but it was vicious and horrible. It was contagious though as others in my building had it but we were not quite sure what it was. A cold, a flu, what? Most of us said we had never been that sick in our lives and that is truth. So, define sane when Dr. Fauci just said if only 50% of Americans are vaccinated the virus could be with us forever. And then said: Meanwhile, if certain American's don't want it, they need to sign that right away so the vaccine can be put to good use elsewhere. 1. Dr. Fauci Said It’s Like We’re at War—and Uttered These Six Key Words "Public health is not a political issue," said Fauci. "Public health is what affects all of us. And that was really one of the issues that's so troublesome is that we've been through and still are going through a historic pandemic in the midst of, and in the context of extreme divisiveness in our country, which is really unfortunate because we should all be pulling together in this the same way you do when you are at war. I mean, you don't want to push that metaphor too far, but it is like a war and we have a common enemy and the common enemy is the virus. The common enemy is not each other. So if we could put that behind us and realize that the solution really is a vaccine, like "historically" it was "with other diseases," we'd be good. https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/medical/dr-fauci-just-said-six-words-that-could-end-the-pandemic/ss-BB1gokbJ?li=BBnb7Kz#image=2
  8. Well, "they" have to pay for it all somehow. Do I sound a bit jaded or cynical too when it comes to pharma and the stock market? Well, I probably am a bit as I wasn't born yesterday. My sister used to tell me there are necessary evils in this world. J&J is among the 12 leaders with the largest marketcap now. My ex and I used to own Pfizer. Full disclosure - we sold it long ago and I own no "pharma" type stocks at all. I didn't really want to go down the road of money and Covid but it is going to have to be paid somehow and I believe there are some necessary evils in this world that we cannot do much about anyhow even though some of it seems rather transparent. Me just ranting, not necessarily about your post in particular, Love.
  9. The first sentence is what I've experienced living one's SL life as a tiny and going to all the tiny events. Tinies are whimsy to begin with and at our events they sound much like the events Maitimo is describing above, friendly and adventurous, plus goofy, adorkable and fun but with great music and entertainment. I loved that Saturday morning we all danced in a circle on the Shire listening to a solo performer playing the Hurdy Gurdy but that was one of many, many great and unforgettable events. To be active in SL is to join the groups and for tinies good ones to start are Small Talk and Raglan Shire. For, Belliseria, follow Maitimo's advice above and go! As far as being in my home, I may not always respond right away as I work offline in Photoshop quite a lot. The way to socialize is to join groups and then go.
  10. Only once, very early in my SL. I thought it was a stalker. I didn't buy it any events as I didn't know about events then. Weeks later I come to find out it's one of the biggest brands in SL. So, was not a stalker.
  11. I'm beginning to wonder if the future of the metaverse is cryptocurrencies, and perhaps even cross-currency uses in video games and/or worlds? I'm not sure but I sure am wondering. Many skeptics say nah, yet there are things happening and it looks rather "bullish" although the bullishness may be due to the stimulus monies around the globe. I am not speculating on the current bullishness, many articles state the reason cryptocurrencies are on the rise is due indeed to the stimulus aid because of Covid.
  12. I have read a bunch of websites on fair use and it's tricky. I think I may have a short answer but all articles still advise speaking with an attorney, which is expensive and I'm not sure what attorneys would really even want to take the time. Short answer, fair use is an artwork that is so changed from the original item it could hold a copyright in and of itself. That would mainly be because it no longer resembles the original. Now, part B. Some of us might wonder how could we take photos in our own real life home and be able to use all the furniture in our real life home without needing permission and sell those photos? I'm going to guess a bit and say that is probably because most real life furniture is not considered a work of art whereas many items on SL are considered a work of art and even if some items in SL are not considered a work of art they are considered intellectual property. Some of us who use full perm items and make them into something else deal with a kind of fair use but we are still under user license per the SL TOS and each full perm seller's own personal user license which is a limited license and those of us who use full perm items here in SL must adhere to each full perms sellers user license as every one could be different and unique. In short again here, part of SL if not all may work under what is known as user license. Ultimately though I believe all items are owned by LL which is even more confusing. However, what LL ultimately "owns" is something like control such as they could shut down tomorrow and owe us nothing if say we spent thousands of dollars on full perm items the previous week. What we buy here is a luxury with no contract nor guarantee for permanence.
  13. I think LL referred you to the TOS because if you don't understand it you should wait until you do as far as fair use is concerned. Also, many places that host NFT artworks also want you to submit originals instead of guessing you may or may not have the right to the use of something you did not entirely create, i.e., fair use. So, these NFT's auction houses want you to be sure you fully understand fair use if you go that route. What these NFT's are attempting to do is give a sort of legal recorded copyright upon sale with a certificate. It's kind of cool in that it is attempting to give digital artists a real transacted copyright of sorts. To use items you did not make in SL, you would need permissions or change the photo enough so it falls within the realms of fair use. That is my understanding of the LL TOS. EDIT: Reposting in stuff I posted on page 2 from the LL TOS: If you don't know what fair use is, there are links below. This is in the LL Wiki, however. http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Snapshot_and_machinima_policy#Definitions If the content that you capture is subject to any trademark, service mark, trade dress, publicity rights, or other intellectual property or proprietary rights, you must obtain the necessary licenses and permissions to use the content, and you use it at your own risk. a) No Limitations on Fair Use or Use of Public Domain Works. This Policy does not limit fair use or use of public domain works. You may wish to consult the Stanford Copyright & Fair Use Center for general information on fair use and the public domain. However, because the law may or may not recognize fair use or public domain status in different situations, we suggest consulting a lawyer before relying on any fair use or public domain status.
  14. I don't think I am a snowflake posting fake news. I'm not even sure what this snowflake name means. But, I don't think A) you understand that Covid is a very vicious virus as well as a rapid evolver and that B) Ivermectin is not some kind of miracle drug. Perhaps a cocktail will be found eventually but it takes time, perhaps years, but until then the virus has mutated into a more severe and more deadly virus. The more that are vaccinated the better but I don't believe in forcing anyone either. But, don't just act like a Trump clone being an SJW against the wicked corruption in Washington and the media who are making all this up. See point A and B above. My friend's daughter is a nurse. My friend was suicidal from all her daughter has had to go through. This is not some game.
  15. I'm not going to read all the websites, Arielle. I simply don't have time. But, in regards to "what degree...", I read on the WHO website Ivermectin is approved for clincial trials. Clinical trials does not include everyone. So, they did administer it as I posted some studies on it from the NIH which showed it helped in in vitro cells only. Could it just be possible it is not effective on cells which may be aged and/or cells that are weakened from a pre-existing condition? In vitro cells does not equate to aged cells. https://www.who.int/news-room/feature-stories/detail/who-advises-that-ivermectin-only-be-used-to-treat-covid-19-within-clinical-trials All cells experience changes with aging. They become larger and are less able to divide and multiply. Among other changes, there is an increase in pigments and fatty substances inside the cell (lipids). Many cells lose their ability to function, or they begin to function abnormally.
  16. I wish you'd stop saying that, Arielle. I think the medical profession has been through hell with this as if haven't we all, and that the medical profession is doing the best they can which is also part of the Hippocratic oath, do the best you can. There is no evidence it is helping in full grown human beings. It "helped" in in vitro studies. https://www.covid19treatmentguidelines.nih.gov/antiviral-therapy/ivermectin/ Ivermectin Last Updated: February 11, 2021 Ivermectin is a Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved antiparasitic drug that is used to treat several neglected tropical diseases, including onchocerciasis, helminthiases, and scabies.1 It is also being evaluated for its potential to reduce the rate of malaria transmission by killing mosquitoes that feed on treated humans and livestock.2 For these indications, ivermectin has been widely used and is generally well tolerated.1,3 Ivermectin is not approved by the FDA for the treatment of any viral infection. Proposed Mechanism of Action and Rationale for Use in Patients With COVID-19 Reports from in vitro studies suggest that ivermectin acts by inhibiting the host importin alpha/beta-1 nuclear transport proteins, which are part of a key intracellular transport process that viruses hijack to enhance infection by suppressing the host’s antiviral response.4,5 In addition, ivermectin docking may interfere with the attachment of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) spike protein to the human cell membrane.6 Ivermectin is thought to be a host-directed agent, which may be the basis for its broad-spectrum activity in vitro against the viruses that cause dengue, Zika, HIV, and yellow fever.4,7-9 Despite this in vitro activity, no clinical trials have reported a clinical benefit for ivermectin in patients with these viruses. Some studies of ivermectin have also reported potential anti-inflammatory properties, which have been postulated to be beneficial in people with COVID-19.10-12 Some observational cohorts and clinical trials have evaluated the use of ivermectin for the prevention and treatment of COVID-19. Data from some of these studies can be found in Table 2c. Recommendation There are insufficient data for the COVID-19 Treatment Guidelines Panel (the Panel) to recommend either for or against the use of ivermectin for the treatment of COVID-19. Results from adequately powered, well-designed, and well-conducted clinical trials are needed to provide more specific, evidence-based guidance on the role of ivermectin in the treatment of COVID-19. Rationale
  17. Arielle, I think you are over-reacting because I doubt the full studies of this medicine or other medicines have been fully publicized yet, yet alone the fact that doctors take a hippocratic oath that in layman's terms has been shortened basically to "do no harm". So, if doctors take an oath to do no harm, how much should they experiment with treatments not fully known? I don't think full studies will be known for years yet and this is why I think you are over-reacting.
  18. Agreed and thanks. I was very encouraged to read "the majority of Americans" agree with Bidenomics. Our country needs to work together again. @Arielle Popstar, as far as some "drugs" being denied people with Covid and that's why they died; I believe some medications were tried but any results from trial medications are not known yet nor published yet. There have been some trials and that's all I want to say about it. I have nothing further to say about trial medications or denial of such as a reason for death from Covid and don't have time to look all that info up. I do think you are over-reacting though, jmho.
  19. I just wanted to say that not all "right wing" people are involved in out-there kind of things. It was just reported last week the majority of Americans agree with Bidenomics, so the country is coming together a bit better than it has been in months prior with party politicking and parties putting up divides.
  20. Yeah, L.A. County will come out of full lockdown as planned last I heard on June 15th. I'm not sure what the protocols will be either. But, possibly 50% or less indoors....I'm not really sure...because where it's airborne the droplets circulate around. I think many of us would prefer to wear a mask indoors even if we have been vaccinated because of the variants. We will have to see what's what when we cross that bridge.
  21. It's always been airborne that's why all the bars and restaurants have been closed as well as other enclosed gatherings, as well as why we are wearing masks and keeping our distance. In the U.S., they allowed partial seating outdoors for restaurants. Masks are still recommended for the vaccinated in the U.S. indoors.
  22. Here's a def of airborne though Arielle has posted something above I haven't had time to understand yet what she is saying. But, even though you have been vaccinated, Rat, isn't your country advising masks indoors where these kind of ventilation systems are? President Biden said okay not to wear masks OUTDOORS if one has been vaccinated, but indoors still wear them. airborne [ air-bawrn, -bohrn ]SHOW IPA adjective carried by the air, as pollen or dust. in flight; aloft:The plane was airborne by six o'clock. Military. (of ground forces) carried in airplanes or gliders:airborne infantry.Abbreviation: abn Aeronautics. (of an aircraft) supported entirely by the atmosphere; flying.
  23. It's always been airborne, that's why we wear the masks. Those of us in the U.S. who have been vaccinated can go without masks outside now according to President Biden but masks are still recommended inside says our president. I'm not sure what you mean by "just announced". The droplets are airborne but subject to gravity just like anything else. Inside the droplets can be carried around by air vents that circulate the air.
  24. I'm not sure what you mean by "helps me feel better to do something". Do you mean fatigue? I had terrible fatigue with my Covid vaccine for six weeks. You may need vitamin-C. Vitamin-C helps us absorb iron and iron helps us fight fatigue. Get your energy up a bit and then move around, do a little house-cleaning or something. Get your blood circulating through your body by moving around - vitamin-C may help you achieve that, as least a little bit. It is also very good to eat things with vitamin-C if you can. Besides oranges/tangerines, spinach is rich in both iron and vitamin-C. I used vitamin-C for six weeks. My doctor said it's fine. Ask your doctor first. Most doctors prefer you eat sources of vitamin-C if you can.
  25. I was just thinking similar this morning, Sid, but more along the lines of the internet and how people want the internet to be "the wild, wild West" and that "wild, wild West" is especially happening again with cryptocurrencies. Internet people have always wanted the internet to be "the wild, wild West".
