  1. Playing my 8 yr old at Harry Potter trivial Pursuit...and losing slightly less badly than usual
  2. If lucky chairs are anything to go by, it's avatars whose name begins with L
  3. I think I saw that one at Mina during the casper Egg Hunt, or one very much like it.
  4. This isn't Jethro Tull (as the video title suggests) at all, but Blackmore's Night's 'Wind Dance of the Fairies'. But I posted this version for the 120-yr-old video footage..
  5. I'm not familiar with that body or what might have gone wrong, but here are some things you could try: Rez a new copy from the delivery box and start again. Get a redelivery from the store and start again. If it's a body where you wear a shape that comes with it, make sure you make a backup copy of the original and only edit a new copy.
  6. Loading recent textures into my fabric browser:
  7. Drumming and dancing. A bit like this:
  8. 59,686 currently - I was down to 58K a couple of weeks ago, and deleted a lot of hair since then (my hair folder is under control! woop!), but the 70-ish Steam Hunt gifts, group gifts and items I've made backup copies of seem to have bumped it up again..
  9. Enjoying that I finally got around to having a go at texturing a full perm mesh clothing item (the skirt in the pic). Not a perfect result by any means, but I'm glad I tried it and that I now have a better idea of what's involved and what I need to improve on, research, and ask questions about.
  10. Oh yes, that would be an issue for me too, although the built in Omega does make it less of a faff to change skins and makeup for an outfit. FWIW, the demo head is copyable so it could be worth confirming that isn't the case with the full version... ie, it might be some other part of the package that's no-copy. A quick pic of the demo: (the missing neck and scalp portions is just part of the 'demo compromise', along with the writing all over the skin).
  11. I popped by and picked up the demo.. Another big plus is that she comes with some nicely textured mesh eyelashes that are rigged to the head (something I wish I could get for my other heads). She also responds to the facial AOs of my Altamura heads so finding animations that work for anyone buying the full version shouldn't be much trouble. Unfortunately, the demo doesn't include the HUD and I know that HUD usability can be a factor in purchase decisions.
  12. No harm in giving it a try then
  13. Having no animations isn't a big problem as those can be sourced elsewhere, and the Omega-compatibility is a big plus. I'd still prefer to try a demo first though..
  14. Well, maybe just put it down to a combination of directness and natural defensiveness - any regular forum users know you're a sweetie and that you not only experience and understand marginalisation but also support those of us who experience it in different forms. There are lots of 'other peoples' experiences' that I might know a bit about and be able to offer some support or empathy for, but I will always defer to the knowledge and insights of someone who actually lives that experience.
  15. I bet Kristen could add tonnes of insights based on lived experience that could help flesh out your avatar's backstory and identity as well as appearance. It needn't be about choosing a lighter skin...
  16. He seems a little peeved if you ask me..
  17. Unpacking items from the Steam XIII hunt.
