    Agreed. It's up to the copyright holder to initiate a case in their own sweet time, and the case will then be decided in a court of law unless a settlement is made out of court.

    So thinking about the ripped game-content example, the owners of that IP can wait as long as they like, simply logging reports and evidence, and will still have the choice to take legal action for many years to come. It is most likely not worth their time to do so unless the infringement is believed to be damaging their own sales, or the infringer is believed to be making a significant amount of money.

    There is no legal onus on the copyright holder to take legal action in order to maintain their copyright. They can throw a civil case at an infringer at any time for as long as the copyright lasts (as defined by the laws of that particular country).

    Omega is a way of applying non-mesh avatar-appearance items to a mesh body and/or head in the form of layers: basic clothing, underwear, tattoos, makeup, skins etc. You can get similar appliers that are made for specific mesh bodies and heads. Or you can use Omega appliers if your mesh body or head is Omega-compatible and you have the appropriate Omega relay kit (it translates the universal Omega applier to your specific mesh body or head) for your mesh bodyparts.

    We all got sent home at 1pm today because of heavy wind and snow - YAY! Work is closed tomorrow for the same reason - YAY! That means a long weekend and lots of snow to play in - YAY! I got home to find our boiler isn't working - BOO! I remembered to buy plenty of wine - YAY!!!!!

    I'm an INFP (not that i worry about SL being a team/workplace environment), and i love everything about your post except: Amazing the difference that one little letter can make I'm different I guess (?), in that I love to make lasting bonds with people but I'm comfortable with long spells apart as well as periods of more intense involvement and excitement. Or maybe it's just that I'm in a deep reclusive/ hibernation phase at the moment Feel free to IM me inworld if it suits you to have a slightly more flakey friend than your ideal. I'm slt+8 and most usually able to get online between slt 1-4pm.

    I wonder if you could set up a separate paypal account, pay some funds into it from your main account, buy some Lindens, and then close the temporary account..
