  1. It will be part of the Bellisseria continent.
  2. If you open your dashboard and go to Land Manager - Land Use Fees, you'll see a list of the various tiers and fees with a radio button. You set the amount of land you're wanting to cap at but don't actually get charged until you either own a parcel or contribute to a group with the max being the amount set.
  3. I agree, it's a home region, why have nightclubs and stores on the doorstep? There's a whole lot of mainland out there with a lot of things that people are asking for. And for those wanting to 'travel' to them, well, Sansara, Heterocera and Jeogeot are within flight range. I know a couple of homes that have been made into cafes, and very nice they are too! My personal favourite has to be the Pub though.
  4. As has already been mentioned, non LL created orbs are fine as long as they conform to the requirements stated in the covenant for Bellisseria. Any that do not conform are returned. As for parcel access, it was just the disabling of public access which creates ban lines for everyone other than the owner and named persons that was withdrawn, you have always been able to ban individuals on the access tab in ‘About Land’.
  5. When you say your 1024 freebie was used up, I’m assuming you either currently have a parcel for that or you’ve contributed that 1024 to a group. If either are the case then any further land you buy, or any further contributions to any groups are going to incur additional tier costs. As has already been suggested, if the friend is not premium then renting or having a group owned parcel is the best way to do this. Some rental companies do allow some terraforming and full parcel powers in that the tenant’s name is on the parcel as owner. Most of these do come with a covenant so there will be certain limitations, but these are rarely unreasonable. Whatever you do though, unless you’re using your 1024 allowance that comes with your premium a/c, you’re going to be paying for this gift on a monthly/weekly basis until you decide you no longer want the person to have it, and so it’s pretty much just a loan rather than a gift.
  6. It does make it interesting though. I’m getting to the point where I’m no longer having to consult the map on certain sections, but this only comes with repeated travel.
  7. Hang fast... there will be more once the houseboats release. That's when people that want to make the swap will abandon houses
  8. I never saw them in Game of Thrones, but House Linden’s words would definitely be “Soon is coming”
  9. I’ve seen animesh figures for sale on marketplace that claim that all you have to do is drop an animation into it and it will be available in their menu and can then be selected to play. You may be able to find what you’re looking for there hopefully.
  10. We’d better start checking the tea leaves too
  11. Yeah, forgot to put a winky face to emphasise it was a joke. As for Lindens hosting... I think they’re kinda busy enough, and weekends too? Hordes of festival goers trampling my flowers!!! GET OFF MY LAWN!!! - in case anyone was in doubt
  12. I was always under the impression that in ticking the box to contain your own parcel sounds, you were also blocking sounds from off your parcel from being heard on it. Certainly worked when I've lived in noisy neighbourhoods.
  13. I can't remember how long it takes the map to update, I know it can be a day or so. We might not get to see the green squares appear on the map before it's released.
  14. Floats on the aircraft already? That's even better!
  15. A helicopter would be better... and maybe then fly the helicopter or take your boat to get to the airstrip and take off in the plane from there
  16. You need to log in to your dashboard and click on the 'Get your home now' button on the picture showing the 'Your own private home in Second Life' advert. If there are any houses/houseboats available in Bellisseria they will be on the first page. If you get the page with the drop down for the old homes, then that's the page you need to refresh until one shows up on Bellissaria. I don't believe you need to be logged in to Second Life to do this.
  17. Wow, it's really reminding me of the old land rushes when 'First Land' was a thing back in 2006!
  18. Hi Rey! I agree with you, but in this instance the OP was looking for a specific theme or setting and so I was suggesting this as a way to try and find it, not as a guide to buying land generally in SL.
  19. YAY!!! I wish you well in your new home!
  20. It looks as though that's a parcel on a quarter of a standalone sim. I'd say it's very unlikely that the people that rent it are looking for sub tenants, but you can always ask. If you're wanting to put your castle in an environment of similar builds, you would probably do well to look at renting in one of the themed estates. Be aware though, the covenants are usually very detailed to ensure tenants maintain the theme so be sure to check that. If you would sooner 'own' the land (ie, be paying LL through having the 1024sqm allowance in having a premium account) then the mainland is the only place you will be able to place a castle. You'll be quite hard pushed to find a themed area, but you may find others with similar builds to what you're wanting to place and be able to buy a parcel on that sim. Another point worth remembering, a 1024sqm parcel will give you 351 prims... as an owner of several castles over the years, you're going to be pretty hard pushed to make that stretch to holding a castle (the size may well be too restricting too) and its furniture. But there are always possibilities The 'websearch' tab on the Firestorm viewer has a sub section for 'land and rentals'. You can do a search in that with a word in the main search box like 'castle' or 'Forest', and then have parcel sizes and sales or rentals selected in the sub section. That may open things up for you in your search a little. Good luck, and I hope you get to realise your dream
  21. As has already been mentioned, 'their sim, their rules', there really is very little you can do. It is especially frustrating when you feel that you're being singled out for a violation that seems to be being committed by others all around. It must be even more frustrating that you're unable to get any communication, but as a sub tenant, this isn't unusual, especially if the landlord is feeling maybe a little guilty over doing what they've done. Maybe you can find out the answer to all this once your partner returns, and hopefully it can be resolved amicably. If I were in your position though, I'd be looking for a new place to rent so you can move straight away if your partner agrees that that's the option to take if there's no resolution.
  22. It wasn't a post, Patch said it in the Bellisseria Citizens group chat yesterday, I saw it too. Yes, people should still refresh, I got my house doing that very thing last Saturday. I didn't have to sit and just tap the refresh key ad nauseum, I just hit it once or twice between doing other stuff and got lucky really quickly
  23. Nope... as Coffee posted above, Patch Linden stated yesterday "it's not before this weekend", so have a rest
