Just go for the most that are supported right now. Visit the Marketplace and you'll get at hint. I sport the Aesthetic, kinda think it's the best out there bar none, but I'd recommend not. My friend got the Adam. Just don't. Just go for the ones that seem best supported.

Whohoo helped out five newbs today

That's the thing. I most certainly do. Even ran into them at times. Not often, once in a blue moon like 2-3 times but.... Oh hi! Conversation might ensue. -

Consider the source yep. Very good point. 2RAW took care of me almost after I landed, so kinda jaded. I kinda blame them for me being a speed freak of sorts I dunno. Might have been different if I all I knew was nude beaches (nothing wrong with that...) -

Sorry for starting a thread on this if it offended anyone. Perhaps you'll post your recent ones (recent is up to to you, olbies welcome as well). I normally don't offer unsolicted advice, but "hey, would you like some help with that vehicle" is often answered with "yes please". Is all -

Would be pretty non-navigable. Re: recent negativity and doom & gloom. Happy Friday. -
Granted, five at the same time teaching them to join groups and how MMs work. And some basic stuff about alphas. Never even once did anyone ask "how do I look like those in Flickr". Hope they all get their relatively fast car (it is leaderboard fast if you know how to) which they probably will not know how to handle at all, but gave them a few LMs, like 2RAW, where they can practice safely, and get some guidance without any mockery. I felt like sort of an MC themed Yoda... Not much, but one tries.

Maybe. I hope so, but don't really think so anytime soon. Not unless we try, anyway. But you can't force anyone to be more social. Even in the six years or so I've been here I've noticed a difference. I tend to hang out at the places I know too, and even if I find new places (for me anyway) they tend to be similar. So I guess I'm part of the problem as well. Dunno. To me it seems to be a combo of people being set in their ways and viewing things through rose-colored glasses. But newbs are coming in, and if I see someone seeming lost, in a field I kwow well, I at least try to reach out at bit.

Arnold seems much more hung up with his mini horse for the time being. -
How to get super buff with Gianni body ?
HeathcliffMontague replied to Kalegthepsionicist's topic in Your Avatar
Sigh... Enough with the AES bashing already. Some of us walk among you, with torso muscles set to zero, and get "hey, is that a new body? How detailed" -
One thing which hasn't been mentioned is that you can buy and own a Mainland 1024 plot without having to pay tier (i.e. you just pay for the plot and that's it, nothing more to LL - as long as you are Premium). Gives you lots more freedom than renting or having an LL home, but it's not to everones lliking. For a first time Premium an LL home is probably best.

I guess I am technically an alt. My first accont was a female, but that was long before I knew what SL actually was. Cooler to slay dragons that way, I just thought. But oh wow what you gals must go trough. Yes we guys can be one trick ponies, but in SL it literally is just that one trick for some it seems. Been my male "alt" going on something like six years I guess. Hey Heath. Yep that's me. Original name is a conglomeration of way too much English Lit.

Just curious. Mine are just the TinyCam settings. For normal stuff and for **** Hades yes driving. Anyone still use the default?

Honest question. Weren't we Aesthetic guys just ahead of our time? Most of us just found Slink and stuff like that very wanting at the time. Other bodies just seem to catching up, just with less attention to details at the moment.

Will it get better? Question from a new resident

Truer words have never been spoken I guess. I am learning and am "into it", at least lots of it. Take care man. -
Will it get better? Question from a new resident
HeathcliffMontague replied to Renfieldandmina's topic in Make Friends
Let's say you've had a place for a long time, and experiences vary.. SL is made out of lots of different folks, with various experiences. Is 30 days really so unreasonable, given the amount of trolling and what not? I see you've chosen to stick around. Hope you stay for a while and have some nice experiences. -
Will it get better? Question from a new resident
HeathcliffMontague replied to Renfieldandmina's topic in Make Friends
Welcome to SL. 30 days is not a long time. It's pretty usual, sometimes for relatively good reasons. Enjoy being new and take it all in. You will get friends, some you'll regret, others will last and you'll really appreciate. Hang out at the newb areas, keep an open mind but also have your antennas out a bit. Be open about being new and curious, accept help and remember that there is always an X in the upper corner if you feel things get out of hand. You can always log back in at another place. Take up the offers made here, these are good folks. Join some groups and ask as eloquently as you have done here. Lots of folks love to help, really. And congrats on a good post introducing yourself. This, ladies and gentlemen, is how to do it. Stick it out, you'll do well. -

This all reminds me of the Living Color lyrics Open Letter (to a Landlord) Now you can tear a building down But you can't erase a memory

I have a 512 house on my Mainland 1024. It feels a lot more roomy than any of the Linden Homes to me. Layout means a whole lot. I find the new Linden homes claustrophobic too.
