Yeah, he still uses my gifted i3 from 2015 with 16 GB RAM and a GTX 790. And an SSD Actually a bit impressed how smooth streaming goes.

Yeah, a even a decent 4G is better than satellite. I don't live in the mountains - I only visit. My neighbour up there has satellite, and it can actually be used for Netflix. SL? Maybe just to log on and have some IMs. If I need to to connected to the web for some reason I need to find me some 4G.

Yeah, as a guy I see a lot of that, regardless of slim, more booty of whathever. Ain't very attractive with huge T&A and a voodoo like shrunken head. Ironically, guys used to have biceps twice the size of their heads, but seem to have gotten a lot better on it

how to play less seriosly

Dude, you have only experienced a smigeon of SL. It's pretty vast. Don't get hung up on what may have happened to you in a single place. Explore. There's lots more to do and experience. -

Is Second Life the best metaverse?
HeathcliffMontague replied to Aristocrazia's topic in General Discussion Forum
Ehm yes. Ever tried to spend some time time OpenSim? It's an effing anarchy. Ever tried spending some time in Meta? No? Neither has hardly anybody else. SL it is for me, as long as it lasts... -
Just discovered this -- Agni?? Huh? lol

Yeah, keep the graphics at the appropriate level for you travel experience and your pc (or whatever). And as a long-time driver in SL, don't be so afraid of draw distance. Mine is never below 128, sometimes even higher. Worked with my old i3, works with my new Ryzen as well. -

I sent a pair of perfectly nice cowboy boots to my "oblivion" folder because they added 6 worn scripts without any option to delete said scripts. Yes, I might be a little damaged from hanging out at driving SIMs too much

Harley Davidson had this pretty huge clampdown in SL some time ago. Got one very prolific MC creator banned, which led to this major name changing thing among builders. It resulted in some "Duca"s and "Sozuk"s for a while, but most just name their things stuff like Black Devil or Speed Demon now. I've got a bike called Elwood

Saving anything SL to any RL media just spells a problem to me. You really don't want your personal business out there. And the obvious question: Why would anyone do that? Could anyone under the age of 30 (or perhaps 20, dunno) please explain that to me as though I were five?

Lies and obfuscations. Nobody has ever been only 8 in 2003. That would mean I would have to be... Oh crap. -
SL Hot Takes & Unpopular Opinions!
HeathcliffMontague replied to Ivy Mysterious's topic in General Discussion Forum
- How body mesh was introduced was a HUGE mistake. Strongly disagree. It has, for better or worse, made SL much more immersive - Kid Avatar's need their own separate platform, they don't need to be on the same platform that is hypersexualized. Kinda agree there. - SL Content creation should have stayed a hobby or at most, a second income. Nope! That would have stipled things big time - You're just asking for a lawsuit if you're putting RL brand logos on your virtual products. Sure. Just look at what Harley Davidson did. - The Community side of SL died years ago. There are still lots of communities, just often very separate. So half agree. - People take too much comfort in this platform's anonymity and treat people horribly because of it. Not in my experience. Some most likely do, as with all platforms. -
We hang out with our female friends, tbh. We might go shopping once in a blue moon, but in my experience more for things like vehicles, maybe the occasional piece of furniture if we really need a second opnion (which we rarely do) . And if we do, it's always planned way ahead. We drive, go on rideouts etc. On very rare occassions we might actually stay up until the wee hours and talk about the "big things" in life. But not that often. I'm fortunate enough to have a couple of guys in SL where that might actually happen. It usually involves fluids of the intoxicating kind, though. To be honest, SL would be boring as f... without women.

-Do you use voice in Second Life? Sometimes. Mostly outside programs, though. It can get terribly noisy in-world. -If so, how and when do you use it? (Use it all the time, or is there conditions to where and when you use it?) Used it last time for an MC ride out. Enjoyed it a lot, turned it off after. Back to "normal" SL -Do you think you have a good voice? I can carry a tune pretty well, it's for others to decide. The voice discussion is as old as time here, it seems. I totally get why women stay away from it. My adopted nephew has actually bloomed at lot by using voice in video games in a world wide setting. He was a... Well let's be honest, not a crack baby, but a heroin baby. Let's leave it at that. His English has improved tremendously, as have his overall communication skills. Myself, I'm just too lazy I guess. I wanna listen to music or a UK panel show, a podcast, stuff like that, whenever I'm in SL usually. Doesn't mean I don't connect, but prefer to type.

Second Life "Life Hacks"

Mind if I steal those, just to be stored in my purse and perhaps used at a later date? -

I see that the neighbours have already started getting their Christmas decorations up. I guess lag season starts earlier and earlier with each year
