Wait for them to IM you. * Add threats of violence to your profile. * Talk about how shy you are so others understand you are not going to hold up your end of any conversation. * Make it clear that you expect to be loved for who you are, and expect devotion, even if you are kind of a jerk. * Explain that you can only communicate in the Hértevin language * Admit that you are a serial adulterer and congenital liar. Not so much FIFY! as augmented and enhanced; perhaps others might like to make their own suggested additions.
  2. If we got turkeys from America, how come we named them after a country that bridges Europe and Asia? Or was it the Americans, with their well-honed geographical skills? [You're from Wales? Isn't that a town near London, England?]
  3. Aethelwine wrote: Night is falling. On the first floor of Hôtel Printania two windows have just lighted up. The yard of the New Station smells strongly of wood: tomorrow it will rein over Bouville. Now, that's just sick! [The mis-spelling, that is.]
  4. Durkheim has it the wrong way around. Crime is meaningless without law. The idiot also believed that anything that exists in society must serve a beneficial purpose. So how does that explain paedophilia, genocide, and, worst of all, kissing a girl when she'd prefer it was Johnny Depp doing it? [Oh, and also, please leave organised religion out of any discussion of morality; the former has nothing to do with the latter.]
  5. Nvidia definitely! To experience SL as it should be played, you really need two Titan Z cards. In fact, I am saving up for a third so I can model the human brain. [When I said "SL as it should be played", I meant that having those high power cards would enable you to speedily identify the type of avatar who is going to ask you for sex, even if you are the wrong gender, because they are using Intel graphics and seeing clouds against a Fifty Shades of Grey background, and are culturally ignorant so they can't tell that HotBabe2015 Resident is likely to be a bloke playing a Barbie. The other benefit of such a set up is that you can cook bacon sandwiches on the PC case while playing, and crashing, and playing, and crashing, and . . . ] [Also, when I said I needed a third one, I probably don't for 99% of SL residents; an EGA card would do to display the average of 42 brain cells that it takes to post - and reply to - a question in General Discussions which should obviously be in a Techical forum.]

  7. Caitlin Tobias wrote: Consider it a challenge accepted and I will give you the link, or post a pic in here, when I've done it! Excellent! I shall be extremely interested to see what your focus will be; there are so many emotionally evocative elements of the song and video that I would find it difficult to predict what might affect your muse.
  8. Pamela Galli wrote: With 40 survey responses, 57.5 % yes, 42.5% no. What is truly astonishing about this poll result is that the total aggregate of "Don't know", "Other", and "Undecided" appear to be exactly 0%!!! I blame the lack of a "Pie" option . . .
  9. More proof that the UK is not part of Europe! [it's all down to those damn Greeks - and wimpy Germans not putting their foot down.]
  10. Yay thanks guys just sorted it (Me SecretSmiles on my new first alt - KarieKlaws ahaha)) ahaha thank you <3 x

It is now resolved. https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-8769?#comment-461955 You do realise that "resolved" is a Linden code word for "closed the JIRA because we couldn't really work out what was wrong", don't you. [isn't it interesting to note that the default setting for the LL Viewer is "allow LL to upgrade the software to a version that doesn't work".]

Caitlin Tobias wrote: I often get inspired by youtube-clips and find it a fun pasttime to try to recreate the looks of artists or depict the feeling of a song or a quote, not always a success but that's fine! That sounds like an idea for a continuing thread, along the lines of "Challenge Caity". How about this as inspiration?
