  2. Muletta wrote: So you have dual standards, believing at one and the same time, that some images which portray naked children are pornography, and some aren't. Yes I have. I consider some pictures/drawings of naked children to look pornography, while other drawings for me seem not phornography. Don’t you? No, I can spell and type, and express my opinions coherently.
  3. Muletta wrote: LlazarusLlong wrote: Erm, child pornography actually IS the original topic in this thread . . . No it isn’t. The topic is actually, what the landlord should do about having seen some drawings from a tenant, which look like child porn in the eyes of the landlord. Look at the thread title...
  4. Drake1 Nightfire wrote: /me breaks out his telephoto lens... Yo Maddie, you need some help? *snaps a few dozen pictures to sell to the various magazines* The ones of her actually falling would sell for much higher prices. Would you like to borrow a sniper rifle to shoot her fingers off?
  5. Muletta wrote: LlazarusLlong wrote: And is that a crime against art? There does not exist an objective concept as a crime against art, so I cannot answer this question, sorry... : Erm, this is a General Discussion forum, not Answers, and clear-cut definitively factual responses are not necessarily required, but the expression of a cogently argued opinions is welcomed - even if, in your case, it may be wrong.
  6. Muletta wrote: LlazarusLlong wrote: My opinion on child pornography is expensively bought, and not to be wasted publicly on trivial questions raised by people who should know better. ...and so is your opinion about the originally topic in this thread too, apparently. Erm, child pornography actually IS the original topic in this thread . . . Muletta wrote: LlazarusLlong wrote: But here's another one for you: would you consider it child pornography if this original did not have the lower halves of their bodies blocked out by Catholic censors? Nope. So you have dual standards, believing at one and the same time, that some images which portray naked children are pornography, and some aren't. [And you haven't even seen the images described by the op, so you are making an ignorant judgment call!]
  7. Eric Morecambe: "What's a greek urn?" Ernie Wise: "An inhabitant of the Mediterranean who has bankrupted his country by not paying taxes"
  8. Ceilidh Noel wrote: i had never seen that key before. on my laptop Some makes of laptop have an "invisibility mode" which hides keys that semi-literates don't really need, which also includes the punctuation and shift keys.
  9. Derek Torvalar wrote: I see Xiola popped up on Ciaran's blog. Too bad she doesn't answer her mail. (And I don't even own a stick) Damn cheek! She's taking the credit for cleaning up the GD forum when any fule do no that it has been due to a massive effort by myself - with a little help from my friends. She also got this right about my recent initiative: "it’s a lesson for us on how to improve our processes and communications" Who do you think she might be referring to by this, Derek? "we’re just a target for people who get a kick out of poking us with a stick!" I liked the way she described my cabal though: "Inventive. Creative. Problem-solvers. Visionaries. Vocal. Sometimes misunderstood." It seems that she likes Linden Lab: "It’s a great place for anyone to work at!" Probably because they are willing to recruit Community Managers who enjoy ending sentences with prepositions - and redundant ones at that! Finally, I like the way Xiola reveals that she is interested in Formica, and would like to visit that island one day.

  11. Bobbie Faulds wrote: They may have fixed that but they broke sim/estate banning and, according to one of our sime EM's, they are working on trying to fix it but can't figure out what broke it. Makes things.....interesting....in the sim I RP in to have banned players showing back up. They were banned for a reason and now we have to reban them....sighs. You think you have troubles? IvanTwin is back!
  12. hinaichigo Xaris wrote: The drawings contain 5 or less years old furry childs having explicit sex How can you tell they are less than 5 years old if they are furries? Are you an expert on arcane fantasy character life-cycles and maturity? They might be at the peak of their sexual prowess, and at the optimal time for mating and reproduction. Also, if, as has been widely suggested, time in SL passes at twelve times the norm, that would mean the images actually portray near-geriatric congress. Now, that's a big "ewwwww" from me, but wouldn't be illegal in most civilised countries. Would you - or anyone else - have a problem if it was a couple of sad cats copulating, or two canines doing it doggy? Pass me a cup of tea; I'd like to check the weather.
  13. Ah, welcome back; it's good to see the old targets old-timers returning to the newly cleansed Augean Stables of the forums. I see that you haven't bothered to use your absence to improve the coherence and clarity of your English, nor to read up about the rules on mentioning other residents in a pejorative fashion. Still, I am sure someone will be along soon to continue your education.
  14. Isn't this a bit like thanking a surgeon for setting your broken leg . . . . . . when it had been him that originally knocked you off your bike with his car!
  15. "What's a Greek earn?" "It's a pottery vase from the Mediterranean."
  16. Muletta wrote: Does this reply mean, that your opinion about child-porn is a deep secret? Okay...I will stop asking then My opinion on child pornography is expensively bought, and not to be wasted publicly on trivial questions raised by people who should know better. 17. Do you always answer questions you won't, or can't answer with another question? This is NOT the Answers section! An OP here is an invitation to other participants to offer opinions, scorn and diversion. Particularly when the initial post is moron-fodder, as was the case in this thread.
  18. OK, if you refuse to extend your condescension to issues which perhaps your limited cognitive capability is incapable of addressing - perhaps the ladies who lunch with you have never really given much thought to deep issues such as I listed - perhaps you might find a simpler question easier to be dogmatic about? Who is most deserving of disapprobation? 1. Those who start threads in the wrong forum, using General Discussions instead of Answers for obvious questions? 2. Those who encourage such behaviour by answering such queries here, rather than redirecting them? 3. Those who criticise participants who enlarge the faux discussion from its bathetic "climax"? Go on, you can surely attempt a response to that.
  19. Muletta wrote: I think it's odd that you prefer to peck on the landlord here, instead of dealing with such a serious topic like child pornography. Sorry, I didn't realise that an expert on morality was patrolling the forums. Since you are here, perhaps you would like to rank these in order of importance. A. Murder of a stranger. B. Husband beating. C. Mistreatment of animals. D. Exceeding the speed limit on an empty dry road with good visibility with no other car within 10 miles. E. Flashing a blind woman. F. Genocide, but only of a small ethnic group in an insignificant Balkan country.. G. Cheating at cards. H. Wife beating. Perhaps you could illuminate our lives further and suggest appropriate punishments for each "crime", indicating the length of jail sentences, community service, thrashings or tickling with a feather.
  20. In case you have problems finding it, the Insert key is the key with "Ins" on it. Or on some keyboards "Insert". Or on some keyboards there are two different keys in different places with different markings on it, like mine. Sometimes it is in mixed case, but sometimes the key is marked using all upper case letters. Or if you have used the key a lot, sometimes the markings wear off, partially or completely. Which means you may have to use trial and error to find it. Usually the 0 key is also used as the Insert key, and may be larger than most of the other keys. Although not the space bar of course. I hope this is helpful. You might have got a different sort of help if you had posted your query in the Answers section. Where you should have.
  21. This forum is not the correct one for asking how to hotwire stolen cars. That would be the Technical Forum. Ask for Memphis.
  22. The dead cat who owns this avatar is currently negotiating with MIchael Jackson's Estate regarding the theft of elements of America's "Horse With No Name", and has accordingly dictated this post to me by phone, wanting to point out that, regardless (or "irregardless" if you are a product of the US public school system) of any "proof" offered by text or image in a profile, he might be pretending to be President Obama's cousin just so that he can get a good deal from you by threatening to send a Marine snatch squad to your house in order to subject your grandmother to extraordinary rendition and enhanced interrogation if you don't give him a 10% discount for cash on the barrel for a mis-spelled horse. I think that's what he said, anyway, as the line was poor, and it was difficult to tell his Miaows from his Mews.
