  1. I'm on-board to support your cause. Contact me in-world. \o
  2. It's ok, I understand that you need to support your friend. I don't need to explain anything further and I think the general population, at least reading this thread, has gotten the correct information, finally. I'll continue to respond to posts in other areas, as I see this misinformation being disseminated and, hopefully it will cease at some point. I would very much like to see more tools out there that perform as well as mine, but I haven't found them. I wouldn't mind hanging up my hat and moving onto other projects completely. When I see someone building a tool for SL, especially with regard to animations, I do approach them but, as yet, they don't seem to be willing to cooperate and learn, so I dismiss it and move on. If anyone out there is developing some SL animation tools, and wants to pick my brain, you are welcome to contact me in-world. Have a great day people, and thanks for playing \o - Frawggie
  3. The tool you're using to produce animations is responsible for the data being exported. Your view on the subject is limited to what you are seeing, which is probably just the visual and not the data itself. The tools, even mine, must produce extra data in order to fake the interpolation. Further, linear interpolation is a misnomer, since there are no additional data required to be represented by this type of "interpolation", especially with regard to this target platform. It's not essential that the average person understand how these things work and so they often times don't. The way a person "interprets" what they see gives them the impression that they know what is happening but, in this case, what is happening is NOT what you are seeing. I think I'll start a short video series on the subject so that I finally get people to stop spreading this misinformation that's been prevalent within SL for so many years. Just to put a cap on this, the "new data" you are misunderstanding is not new, it's produced by the tool you used to export the animation with. The viewer does exactly what the data tells it to do, it doesn't do anything more or less.
  4. Not that all wiki are accurate but, because I am actually a professional in the field, with more than 30 years of experience, I can vouch for it. I just want to make sure that people are getting the correct information. If you simply do a search for (what is animation interpolation) you'll hit the spot pretty quickly. If anyone wants to have a discussion with me about the subject you can contact me in-word directly. I'm always willing to help someone understand how these things work.
  5. You obviously don't know what you're talking about. The data I give to the viewer is taken as is, it does not interpret, interpolate or otherwise mangle what I gave to it. Changing the meaning of words to make yourself right doesn't make for usable information, just like your post on the topic. It's best if you stop disseminating misinformation, for the good of the community.
  6. I wrote an animation tool for SL and I can tell you from experience that the viewer does not interpolate between keys. If I place data into the animation that tells the viewer to take 2 seconds to transition from one position, or orientation, to another then that's what it does. If I tell it to take 0 seconds then it's a snap. I don't know where you got your information from but I can guess, it's certainly not accurate.
  7. Thank you people \o We have everything we need now. If you contact me it's unlikely I'll reply to this subject further since our team is complete at the moment. I may still fully read your offer for future endeavors.
  8. I certainly hope it helped people and is a deterrent for those that are not serious. Any response HERE to my notice is an immediate NO, since that person is unable to follow instructions. I'll expect a few contacts will have read this and have a good laugh, along with me, while we negotiate their paths into a lucrative future. Oh, here comes one now... Wait, there's two... Wait... oh I'm going to be busy for awhile, chatter with yourself.
  9. You shouldn't, you're not welcome. But you already know this.
  10. You're hired if you.. are an independent thinker and... are willing and able to learn new skills when needed and... are willing to work "with" us, not for us... We want independent thinkers and those willing, and able, to learn new skills to get the job done. We don't want you to work for us, we want you to work with us. The right people will see this as an exceptional opportunity. The wrong people simply won't respond at all, usually, and thank you for not wasting my time. If you are actually willing to work, and think outside the box, we want to give you a try. If you're lazy and expect to earn just sitting still then just keep sitting still and leave us alone. Contact me via note-card in-world. I will not see your instant message. I am BinBash Resident .
  11. Bento Buddy supports priority 6, and also 0 for fun. But you knew that didn't you?
  12. If you intended TIC then I'm sure I completely misunderstood your recent diatribe and, with that, there's nothing cohesive to respond to. But I do worry that you believe you can compare your experience to mine and assert that we agree on something based on this. But I will diverge from this off topic position that you hold and simply know that you are uncomfortable with views that disagree with yours so it won't be of any value to you to communicate in this regard, even though you appear to believe that "we" must continue to learn.
  13. This supports the assertion from @OptimoMaximo perfectly, though you intended to disagree I suppose. I've been in the industry for more than 30 years and I can tell you that what goes into SL is rather simplistic compared to real world work associated with 3d modeling and related tasks. I think it's mistake, and have had personal experience with this mistake,to redefine words and terms when there is no logical replacement for them, such as "rigging", which works most of the time but when it fails it fails badly. This was the motivation for my video series on "rigging" an apple.
  14. Thank you all for the incredible responses. I'm still catching up with replies and you should hear from me shortly, make sure to check your notecards folder when you login. The amount of responses has risen to a point that will become unmanageable if it continues so please understand that newer queries may go unanswered, or could take a week or more to get a response from me. Also note that not everyone will be accepted as a Critters participant and only after the second interview will you know where you stand. Unfortunately there are, often times, less than serious applicants and we have a process to dismiss those quickly and efficiently but this still takes time away from attending to those that deserve it. But if you believe yourself to be a determined and motivated self starter then you know what to do, and the instructions are not found here. If you were accepted to Critters then congratulations!
  15. There's a place in-world that has a comfortable and decorated environment. We intend to grow this into a fun experience, NOT the term "experience" used by the SL experience permission system. Our Critters organization is based on the sim of the same name, where we are building example material showing what the Second Life(r) platform is capable of. Many are not aware of the incredible tools that have been given to us by Linden Lab(r) with their major updates to the Second Life world. We're going to show you, awaken you and free your mind to explore new ideas that we've been given an opportunity to implement. I want teachers to become aware, and subsequently make their students aware, of the untapped opportunities for creators that has been around us going un-noticed for so long. I want to show you how to tap into this exciting freedom of creativity people have been missing for some few years now. LL gave us the tools but they've always given us the option to use them or not. I'm going to show you what is possible, exposing you to the secrets that only a few diligent creators have been able to tap into and you'll finally have the answer to your questions, and I mean all of the important ones that prevent you from accomplishing your goal. I'm going to be your guide to the students, it's time for the teachers to learn. What excites you about teaching? If you're not tickled by the possibility of being Fabulously Functional(tm) in what others consider to be a confusing platform then I have nothing to show you, turn your head and ignore us while we move forward into a new world of creative power. And really, above all, despite your apparent good nature and kind heart that tells you that educating people is a wonderful thing, and I agree, there is L$ behind this for you and you'll have to interview to know how, why and what. That is why this is in the "Inworld Employment" section after all. I am ... BinBash Resident Contact me in-world using a notecard, I won't get your instant messages. Yes, I really am a frawg but I used to be a duck. Don't be the quack, be the duck!
  16. That number rolls off the tongue, I'm gunna use that for something.
  17. Send me a notecard in world indicating your interest. Include a schedule of when you can spin. We'll need to have a first meeting and if that schedule differs please include it. I'll be expecting you to spin a few as an example and we'll go from there. I'm BinBash Resident in-world.
  18. We have an immediate need for modelers of static items, such as decorations, buildings and misc. items. We're paying you. Let's have a chat. The information we need from you is a schedule were we can pick a time and date to meet up. This initial meeting will happen only once so it doesn't have to be a consistent schedule. Additionally we will need a consistent schedule from you in order to sync up times and dates for creativity meetings. Please contact me in-world by sending a note card and include the date and times requested above. It is unlikely that I will notice your instant messages. I am known as BinBash Resident and I will respond to your note card if I receive it. Please don't hesitate to send it more than once if I haven't gotten back to you in a few days, it may have gotten lost. If you are able to produce any of the following then we would like to meet up with you... LSL, Python, textures, animations, concept art, logical puzzles, static mesh, skinned/rigged mesh. For objects we are looking for someone that understands how to produce proper game content, low poly. Your task would require you to generate the required normal and specular maps as well as efficient UVW maps. Thank you \o/
  19. Critters has created a community that engages a full spectrum of content creation, production and sales through education, training and marketing. Our goal is to provide the means for interested parties to realize their creative potential and see it flourish into a viable revenue earning asset. To that end we invite you to meet with us to see if you have what it takes to sustain an energetic presence in our organization as a community manager. We'll need someone that can perform at least 4 days a week, somewhere between the hours of 12:00am to 12:00pm SL time, in order to sync up with our account executive. Please contact me in-world by sending a note card. Please include in the note card a schedule of available dates and times when we can meet with you. It is unlikely that I will notice your instant messages. I am known as BinBash Resident and I will respond to your note card if I receive it. Please don't hesitate to send it more than once if I haven't gotten back to you in a few days, it may have gotten lost. Thank you \o/
  20. Drop a short note card on me and I'll see it right away and IM you. I'm BinBash Resident .
  21. Estrelle Fauna is our account executive. Our experience produced a streamlined work-flow that maybe some people have difficulty grasping but it works for us. How we chose to do business is simply that, our business. If a person can't voice with us we have no use for them as a participant, we're just too busy. It's voice or it's a waste of time. And yes, it is a fabulous "place" to work, thanks for noticing.
  22. Hi, sorry, I need to make sure we can use voice, we have too much to do and need to utilize our time effectively. If you cannot use voice don't waste your time, thank you \o
  23. We are paying real numbers, this is not role play. Critters is an organization running various projects. The list of job opportunities is rather extensive but I'll mention a few here, please contact me even if you do not think that you are a good fit, it's very likely that you are, if you are motivated. - community manager - marketing manager - teacher staff manager - teachers for various 3d subjects, including simply how to use SL and the viewer - scripter, modeler, animator, texture artist (these can be different people for each task) There are quite a few opportunities for other trained and untrained positions such as writers and actors, and the list will expand as we continue to grow. Don't miss an opportunity. You don't want to be thinking, later on, "darn, I wish I had been on board from the start". I am BinBash Resident in SL. Contact me using a note-card indicating your interest in working with us. If you don't fit into any of the tasks above then include a list of things that you can do, or that you think you can learn to do.
